Mixed Haul, Episode 39: Criterion, Phantasm Box Set, Everyman Library, Dystopian Fiction and more...

Today we go through games, movies and books, including new Arrow video selections like the awesome Box set of the five Phantasm films. We look at the OOP Criterion Collection edition of the great English gangster film The Long Good Friday, Arrow's nice box set of the 1966 Roger Corman horror film Blood Bath. Corpse Bride and a box set of the I Spit on Your Grave put out by Ronin are also reviewed.
In the video game genre we picked up two Rock Star Playstation 3 Grand Theft Auto games number 4 and 5. We get into some dystopian fiction by Margaret Atwood and Aldous Huxley. Orwells' Down and Out in Paris and London is looked at along with perusals of books by Sylvia Plath, Virginia Woolf, Marcel Proust, William Shakespeare, George Bernard Shaw, H. G. Wells, Charlotte Bronte, and two books on the subject of Zen Buddhism. It should be lots of fun.
