    I like the pots with the drainage features! I have my eye on something similar but more stout for my echeverias.
    This was a fun video!!

    Great stuff, even if it falls under 'You Tube Tropes' for unboxing videos!
    The one video I will look forward to in a few months is after your summertime to see how they have acclimated under your expert care!
    I'm hoping to get two new ariocarpus through their first winter here in the Northern Hemisphere.
    Good luck to us both!

      Yes good luck! I will certainly be doing an update… I’m just about to revisit the big caudex haul from a few months back too

    Ooh ooh such good stuff …oh sorry don’t want to get your pressure up, nice and calm. What lovely plants you got Michael, it is fun to see your anticipation and then appreciation, nice! 🤗 🌵 BTW what is the fruit to your left in the Greencube, possibly a young pomegranate? 🤔

    • @AridZine
      @AridZine  7 днів тому +2

      It was a lot of fun to record! Nothing quite as exciting as a pomegranate.. just a plain old lemon tree behind me. Keeps getting hard pruned as I build more structures 😂

    Hello Michael. I hope you’re feeling better. Fantastic haul. Incidentally, I’m just about to sow some Ariocarpus seeds for the first time, maruibo and cauliflower. Apprehensive… what method did you use? I’m planing on using the old trusty “baggy” approach. Also, please tell me more about those German pots!

    • @AridZine
      @AridZine  23 години тому

      Thank you! Yeah, for cacti seeds I just use the baggie method. As for the pots, do a google search for Greenlink GMBH, they’re the company that makes them.

    Just looked up Yucca rostrata, not familiar with that one, I have the common green yucca in the garden. It’s called the Beaked Yucca, tree like with lots of long spiny leaves, and yes it gets huge. I was surprised to read it is hardy in the US to Zone 5, since I’m in zone 7a I would like to try one. ( lower number zones cold, higher ones warm) I love learning about plants that are new to me! 🤗

    Looks like Christmas morning of memories from childhood. That pachypodium Christmas tree has a few years to grow. Especially into the silver and aluminium one we had for many seasons. Need some extreme GMO to grow that.

    The rostrata is very cold tolerant and gets huge over time especially planted in ground.

      @AridZine oh no I hope you get better soon. I once had high blood pressure problems but is better now mine was caused by Covid 19 in 2021.
      You can maybe eat some beatroot this plant helps with high bloodpresure . The other thing that helped me was some lemon juice water with a bit of sugar🙂

    !!!! Watching this just reminded me to go check on my dragonfruit seedlings! My visiting parent moved them ("Plants in the kitchen are not hygenic.") and now I don't see them to coddle them.
    ...Phew. they're OK. Staking needed, but OK. ...But that is *not* where I put that other cactus, and now it's not happy. 😩 Well-meaning people are not always good for plants.

    I dont think that lealii, true lealii leaves dont have fur. Let see when they got full leaves

    • @AridZine
      @AridZine  8 днів тому +2

      Hi there - your comment got me researching, because I trust the grower where these plants come from, but it always pays to check. That led me to the botanic description of lealii, which states “leaves tomentose” - tomentose meaning “covered in fine hairs.” I will of course continue to monitor the leaves to be sure though!
