Totally agree!! He’s such an underrated drummer who has his own style & own sound. Saw em in NJ w/ Staind late July. They sounded jus like when they first started ! 👍🤘🤘🤘
I was born in the wrong time, man. I was born 3 days after their first album came out. I was raised on Godsmack. Saw them for the first time September 8th and it was one hell of a show. What I'd give to go back in time and see them when they were a younger band. So damn good.
I agree. I saw them the first time when I was probably 10 years old, ha. I’m now 26. I wish I was older and could have enjoyed them while they were younger.
I felt that way about Led Zeppelin ..Godsmack did a great version of Good Times ,Bad Tiimes in 08' in the streets of Boston ...Love they're from my homestate !
Me, my wife (then girlfriend) and sister at 8:40-8:43. Great show!! Stayed on property for a couple days for these shows...saw Evanescence the night before...good times in music!! Pre kids and serious responsibilities. If I remember right Cold was supposed to open this show but their guitar tech tragically passed away suddenly so they pulled out. The only way we got up front and against the catwalk was because our crazy early 20 something asses were there something like 3 hours early!! Lol
Yep...all these years never noticed but that's me at 8:53-54...I have known Shannon for a number of years (since the Candlebox auditions when he absolutely SMOKED me on drums lol!!)...such good times when we were all connected...
So, we (my wife, me, and my sister) just got tickets to see em at the Doctor Phillips Center in Orlando in March…an “intimate evening” they’re calling it, in an assigned seating upper scale venue. A far cry from the old moshing/pyro days, but it’s gonna still kickass!!
GIRLIE IM 57 AND ROCKIN TO SOM SMACK BREAKIN KORN FIVE FINGER ALICE SUBLIME MERLE GEORGE METTALICA PUDDLE ....AEROSMITH WHICH IS MY FAVE SINCE 11 YEARS OLD ANF ARE MY NUMERO UNO NOW MY SMACK TIED WITH THEM!! ♥️♥️
Me as a musician, personally don't like it when people have their cellphones out at concerts through the whole show... I mean it's cool to get some photos or videos but a whole show? Come on! To be honest I think mosh pits have declined over the years because there's too many people busy on their phones. I mean there are still mosh pits but man the good ol' days there was a shit ton of mosh pits happening all over the venue
Bro we can't be 30 forever. Still his voice is and always will be amazing. The things he did solo after that with Avalon and the rest was absolutely god tier even he is older, his voice was absolutely on point
I love the hell out of Godsmack, and I'm a 46 year old woman. lol
thats awesome!
me too!
67glowbug that's not a surprise. You're they're age
67glowbug I have loved them for a very long time and I am 53!
Loved them since the beginning of their career! I'm 59!!
Straight Out of Line 0:28

No songs off Awake is criminal
I remember seeing this on MTV when I was still in high school. Turned me on to Godsmack and I've been a fan ever since.
Omg that drummer is awesome
Shannon is killing it 🤘

Such a great performance! Too bad that now isn't like it used to be.
I mean Sully and Shannon are almost 50, and Robbie/Tony are over 50 at this point. They rock pretty damn hard for dudes in their 50s.
listen to their 2017 live performances. pretty damn close to what they used to be. much better than 2014-16
Dude they still kill it in 2024
i was there……great memories!!
Me too and it was a cheap show
You guys are full of crap, don’t lie
Awesome
I was also there! I remember when we all had to pretend to cheer like they were actually on stage lol.
Those drums awsome

Awesome stuff. I luv godsmack with all of my soul. They are truly timeless😎
I really love his music comes from his soul!
i always wanted MTV to put out full CD/DVD sets of all of these HRL performances. I think Simple Plan is the only one they every actually did it for.
Awesome drummer ❤
Agree
I love Godsmack! They Rock! 😎
I remember going to this. Cold was supposed to open, but didn't for some reason. It was really cool seeing the singer behind the kit.
My opinion the best band to ever come out of Boston.
Agree
This rockband has great active music performing energy
I wish I could’ve experienced MTV during these times
Sully seriously delivered Serenity!

Back when MYV was MTV
21:54 I literally just saw a spider in my room and now I can’t even find it. Why would they do this to me?
List music ?
Too bad his vocals aren't powerful like this anymore. Like not even close.
