First of all, this shit was too damn funny. Second, I'm not a big fan of the new comercial sound, but I read in an interview that Sully gave, that they felt they are a bit too old to keep playing about how angry they are, the current state of mind and I think maturity are a little bit opposing. Somehow they evolved, and felt the need to play something that resonates with what they are now, something real at this time for them. Haters, real fans, whatever. Music is music, passion and work alltogheter. I will be killing this album because I love what Godsmack made all these years, I grew up listening to every single record, and this will not be an exception. If you really love a band, you also respect them, so I strongly advise you to stop bashing them around, and give the record a listen, you might be surprised - I'm so ready for tommorow.

Good reply. They trashed Chris Cornell when he put out his solo work. He was older, had a family and settled down. People mellow with age. That did not mean he still did could not rock out. It is the same with Godsmack. I love their music but also love Sully's solo albums. I think they sound great.

To me it sounds over produced and the vocals have a slight hint of autotune. I liked the video more then the song for sure.
They are from my generation and the city I came to live in. Sobriety does wonderful things in your life, we had a bumpy ride to get to this road but once on it, there is no turning back.

Jathan Taylor look at the skeletal structure and all except for the introduction of his cousin to the rest of the band(course he could have had a stand-in for this part), notice how Sully and his "cousin" are never on screen at the same time. Sully does have an excellent sense of humor, but still this was way too much extra Italian. 🤣🤣🤣

I'm going August 2nd in Salt Lake City. I'll be traveling from another state. You? Are you going to see them yourself? Two of my favorite bands, Godsmack and Shinedown (my phone just auto-correct Shinedown to Shakedown, lol. Almost as bad as Sully's cousin Salvatore Pasquale's "Dogsnack" :) ) Anyway, both playing on the same stage and on same night. Can't get any better than that.

Shit like this is why I'm a " Dogsnack " fan for life! From the first time I saw them playing in a rock club called 3rd street LIVE till the day I die or go deaf. Thanks to my daughter for turning me on to them and an even bigger THANKS to Godsmack for all the great tunes and especially for this video. I'm not a fan of most music videos cuz most of them suck but this has me laughing so hard my cheeks hurt. People who can poke fun at themselves is a rarity in this day and age so I find it very refreshing. And this song grows on you doesn't it? I gotta watch it again.....
I still remember seeing a few secs of them on a commercial as a teen and deciding they were my band at that moment. Still love most of their songs and Disturbed is a nice 2nd band.

That doesn't surprise me. Sully always was a loose goose when he danced. When he played Whatever back in the day, I couldn't believe it. He could shake his head so hard the cameras couldn't follow while moving his body in a different direction. That is crazy.

The first 3 Godsmack albums were absolutely awesome. The longer bands stay and play together, making millions, the anger Wich I believe is the heart of hard rock , now there just making music commercially. The anger and passionate delivery is usually washed away by success and money. Not just godsmack , happens to alot of bands. Its hard to fake the anger that drives a good band. But bands do fake it, just to keep getting gigs.. I love Godsmack, early godsmack ,. Saw them twice, would have been three times we had tickets to see them on 9-11-2001 . The show was cancelled.
mike berry You should attend another Godsmack show. Eventhough their old music was better, their live shows have really improved over the years. You can't top the drum duel.
Plus when you`re super successful you eventually get surrounded by "Yes Men" and no one is around to say this sucks try again.

To the guys in Godsmack, I just want to say Thank you for an amazing song. It was the song that saved me from going off the deep end and doing something totally stupid...by not being a part of this earth. What brought this on was the murder of my friend by a drunk driver.

My uncle once sent me a Godsmack song via whatsapp "I need Serenity". I fell in love with the song and now just find myself wanting more and more and more Godsmack songs. I love the music, love Sully's voice ... Thanks to my uncle I am hooked. Love them.

I just can't get enough of this video and Mr. Pasquale's dance moves! :D Being able to approach your own experience after so many years on stage, with all the good and the bad stuff, with so much humor is priceless. A lot of people can learn something about not taking themselves too serious from Godsmack, while still evoling and doing stuff from the heart.

Love Godsmack. Love this song and this video. It's like a short movie. Freakin hilarious.
Godsmack became mainstream when I was in middle school, so their evolution coincided with mine so I can go back and reminisce and rock out to their new stuff just fine. They're one of the few bands that haven't changed so much they're unrecognizable, but have continued to be marketable as well as stay true to the fans. The only ones that were forsaken by the band are the ones who have changed the most.

I lost it with Sully´s cousin´s accent. (Plus: these guys just don´t seem to age one bit). Song sounds quite good too. It´s nice to see the guys still getting along after all these years. Been a fan since 2004 (Prince of Persia: Warrior Within).

Back in high school i was a huge godsmack fan but grew out of their sound after a couple years. Now they release this song which is a completely refreshing change of pace and the video was funny as hell. I'm a fan again.
