What are your thoughts on Sonic Dream Team?
I feel that this game was overhyped I see a lot of people saying on social Media that this game was better than frontiers but it’s not, Dream Team is a 7.8/10 to 8.1/10 Frontiers is a 9.5/10 I don’t hate the game it self I thought it was great but I do not like the overhype that it was getting.
This game is like Frontiers. 3 zones, and saving your friends while they are ghost-like.
it has momentum!
It's ridiculous. I'm not paying $84.00 a year for this. I'm going to wait for the PC port.

Dream Team is fun overall, I’m usually not into mobile games but this felt comparable to a 3d handheld title

I agree with everything you said. This game NEEDED the stomp and also a bounce bracelet. Also in my opinion the game has way too many grind rails, it feels like half of the time I’m grinding. Overall though it’s a great game.
I think the reason they were omitted was to make the game not a pain to control on mobile
Sonic Dream Team is honestly a good Game and I really like the Game. The thing that I really like about the Game is like that the game has a lot of content for people to check out in Sonic Dream Team and I’m so happy that the Sonic Dream Team boss fights are better than Sonic Superstars boss fights and the final boss fight is decent. Overall the game is pretty solid.
I think overall dream team ,frontiers and superstars are all great game ,what an improvement
Honestly I don't care if its overhyped... If there is one thing SEGA is good at, its hearing the loud feedback and trying to correct themselves by it (usually resulting in overcorrecting it, when it comes to negative feedback). So telling them that THIS level of polish, with this high quality animation, with the ability to play as Sonic's friends again, is DEFINITELY a good thing. If its a good game, then YES it deserves the credit.
I played the entire game and was shocked to hear that there was only nine levels. The game just feels so big
It's definitely overhyped but it's a good spinoff budget 3D Sonic game. It feels like it would've been great on handheld! And honestly has better level design than Sonic Lost World on the 3DS so that's great!

This game puts Sonic Superstars to shame that's what I think. It's a much better game in every way imaginable and I never thought in a million years I'd be saying that about a Mobile game.
Sonic Dream Team has a lot of content and is perhaps the most ambitious Sonic mobile game. I honestly think it is very overhyped because the levels look they are right out of fall guys rather than the way they look in most Sonic games. It is however really polished with few glitches and the physics are good so it is a lot of fun to play the game.
That's more of an aesthetic reason though... It looks like Fall Guys because of the whole Dream World setting.
Its supposed to be a dreamy world. I also don't think the aesthetic alone is a good enough reason to say its overhyped when almost everything else is great
It was kinda over hyped but it’s still my favorite mobile sonic game! Even though I didn’t like the idea of it being an Apple Arcade exclusive, the levels are awesome, my overall rating is 5000/10
The guardian hunter’s design is absolute peak
Nah, it's peak. I would love for the next open zone game's "cyberspace" stages to have level design akin to this game's. The stages encourage fun 3D explorative platforming rather than short boost centric hallways. The boost is just one of the many tools in your pocket rather than the one thing the game asks you to use. It made me feel like a kid playing SA1 all over again.

I was fighting the intrusive thoughts to stomp in this game but overall game is fun. Still wish the stomp was part of the controls tho

Yes, I agree with some of your points, the knuckles glide, and turn speed, but I do feel like the ways you showed you dying was not on the controls, you opportunities to stay up, so I will say that’s a skill issue. And the a mobile game would have too many buttons on screen to have the modern console controls like the stomp so it’s better and simpler the way it is for a mobile game. You also can’t compare this to sonic speed simulator because it’s a Roblox game. It’s also not necessary to have a double jump because, just like frontiers spin dash, you can use the environment and some skill built over time, you can launch yourself really high to where you don’t need to use a double jump. It’s like how sonic needs to use the environment to traverse and explore the zone.
I like your videos though, I just had a few thoughts
For sure I wasnt shying away from the fact it could be due to skill since I only have like 3 hours played on the game, I think at this point I got a lot better at the game so its clicking for me now but I think overall the point still stands that moves like a bounce or stomp should have been in the game.

Not having a double jump is a godsend. It means to me the platforming elements are gonna be raw
Yeah but I think tighter air controls would have been better without double jump. Overall the game is fire but had to throw in my nitpicks lol

I definitely like dream team! The movement speed feels a bit slow sometimes but zooming the camera in help with that. Even with max graphics it seems to run at a smooth 50-60 fps! If this game was the next mainline sonic like generations or colors, it would be amazing!

Interesting video, Chris! I'm not going to lie, this game is actually pretty good. Everyone is going to have their own issues with this game, which I think is pretty normal. I see that you don't like Knuckles' glide, because it's definitely not as strong as the SA2 glide. I also feel like some of the voice acting is a little bit off, as well as some of the gameplay and difficulties. I still think they did well will this game, even though we don't know if the game will get a lot of hate. I would like to see more video essays on this game if it can happen. Again, great video!

Hey sonichub, question about sonic dream team: where do you think dream team ranks amongst the sonic franchise? This means what mainline games, side games and yes, mobile does this game hold its own against in your opinion?
I think for sure it’s better the SFSB and Dash easily, and it definitely stacks up well against a lot of mainline games too. I need to sit on it more and play more of it to give my final answer on where it would sit in a tierlist though! But it holds it own for sure

I am not fully aware of the full history of Sonic as for most of my life I simply played the games and only paid attention to his reception recently. I don't know what sfsb is.
@SonicHubYT First off, what does SFSB stand for? I only started paying attention to this community recently. And secondly, if the old adventure style games were to be remade( which they probably will), would this format from dream team fit well into that old style? Dream team looks like a giant bullseye wanting to be hit because it offers up so many massive opportunities for sega because of its design that taking the opportunity would be the easiest slam dunk on the planet.

@@SonicHubYT I'm more shocked that the other characters didn't have their signature moveset. You'd think Hardlight would have done research with Adventure 1 and 2 since the game has a heavy emphasis on exploration, but hey, who am I to judge? As long as people are having fun with the game, that's all I'm here for.
I mean, it is a mobile game, though. You gotta count for that.
How did this game got voice actors but team sonic racing doesn't
For a mobile game dream team was top tier but I do think there's defo some recency bias. I personally don't think the cutscenes are better than frontiers at all. I think frontiers had a more realistic style and serious tone. If cutscenes were as expressive and bright as in dream team, it'd kill the vibe to me.
This game was NOT overhyped. Barely knew about it's existence, anyway, a fun experience.
Well with sonic speed sim it technically could be considered a console game too

I own a switch, ps4, ps3, vita, a 3ds, a Nintendo DS and of course PC and an iphone and an ipad
Even before this game, I played good games on my iPad with a controller. Lots of good exclusive games on apple arcade and lots of console games that are ported to ios and Android to play. Just because its on apple store or play store, doesn't mean its gonna suck 😂 i finished sonic 1 on Android at ultra wide and running at 120fps ❤
So to me, this is not a mobile game. Its another sonic game that i played, finished and loved it ❤ its a great game. Dont listen to others. Try it yourself if its possible 😊

Idk how you play SA1 or 2 and then glide in frontiers and say it’s good lol
@@SonicHubYT Im just saying that the fact that knuckles is a bit harder to control doesn't mean that he is trash. Also I prefer knuckles in frontiers because I prefer platforming than treasure hunting.
