- This is the coolest engine shooting fire I have ever seen. The Wild Thang engine is made by Prolong and the sound is crazy loud! Don't forget to turn your volume up!!!! I could feel the heat and almost burned my camera. I was standing away from the car as you can see in the video because it was too loud and hot!! for those that don't know, we used to do this back in the early '60's.. weld a sparkplug at the end of tail pipe, connected to a coil, & the driver would flip a s/w & there you go! those carb engs would waste a lot of unburned fuel out the exhaust!
Note taken, I’m doing that! Lol. I love old school builds.
Saw this exact rod a few months ago for the Turkey Rod Run in FL, 2020. I gotta say, hell yeah

Not a fan of the spoiler either, but I know it's there because he actually drives this car and it's not just built for show.

It's actually a flamethrower, they spray gas onto it and rev it to create the flames

+Vip_ ss yes, they were way lower than today. plus it's probably inefficient because of how much gas it takes to shoot flames out the exhaust

@@gohan12991 cars back then didn't actually get 2 miles per gallon either. Yes gas was cheap, and also that was the only option, but my pickup from '66 gets about 14mpg

That is the EXACT SAME car from burnout paradise, only with red paint. The spoiler and engine are literally the same thing. Go look the car up, it's called the "Hunter extreme hot rod." If you don't know what I'm talking about, burnout paradise is a racing game. Fantastic real life extreme hot rod!!! I love it.

Logan Stanley No, it's not the natural ignition caused by the heat of the exhaust and unburnt fuel. I can stick an injector (or make my car run rich) and then spark the exhaust and make magical flames.
