Aurora said:"'A Temporary High' is inspired by a woman that is very fascinating. If she was your present, she would be confusing; if she was your past, you wouldn't be able to escape her. If she is your future, you won't be able to keep up with her." It's the god Janus, a god with two faces. "One face belonging to the past, and one face looking to the future.
As Brian Eno said in an interview: The Norwegian singer Aurora, who's one of the most extraordinary people i've met. Absolutely original human being. You just think, who designed her ? She is ... she's such a oneoff wonderful person. ua-cam.com/video/JcsWAjFXFOo/v-deo.html
The Gods we can trust is dedicated to Greek Gods. Each song has a different God it is referring to. She would be Janus? Aurora is very diverse. She sings any style and can relate to any age audience or genre. Love Aurora
Congratulations! You didn’t cry. But that would have been fine, too. I usually cry when I hear her, and find it very cathartic. On the release day of The Gods We Can Touch, Aurora stated: "'A Temporary High' is inspired by a woman that is very fascinating. If she was your present, she would be confusing; if she was your past, you wouldn't be able to escape her. If she is your future, you won't be able to keep up with her."
A lovely song and a more "radio friendly" release by her. She does perform this in a slower stripped down version that is absolutely stunning! Great choice today and look forward to more reactions in the future!!
Aw, I haven't watched your reaction yet, but, my prefence for this song is her live Vevo, it is slower and more melancholy. Going to watch in a little bit, have some chores to do right now.
I always took this as a warning to find the right love, and not just the temporary high. Lots of allusions to finding your soul partner. I love the synth sound. Not one of my absolute favorites, but still a good song. Check out 'Exist for Love' next and find out why my heart melted away and tears formed from such a sweet being. You will feel the love!
I was thinking of you today, and figured, that you would like to watch some of the minidocumentaries, like Into the Light, Nothing is Eternal, or the longer HAIK.
Yes, and keep Once Aurora for the end. It's a bit tough and dark, but so eye-opening on how much she has to overcome as an introvert to become Aurora. That documentary was rewarded.
Momma! I keep seeing you. Maybe 4 or 5 times yesterday and today. That’s a coincidence I’ve never had. Yes, I know. How have I been messaging you every few hours? I’ve been steadily having watered-down vodka and green tea and when I feel good I don’t want to stop. Anyway, hmm, forgot what I was gonna say. But you would have been impressed, trust me. Luv ya! 😊❤
Nice reaction, it is definitely an 80's feel to this song, also, the whole album this is from, each song is based on a different mythology God. Here is a blurb regarding this song: About the song If she was your present, she would be confusing; if she was your past, you wouldn't be able to escape her. If she is your future, you won't be able to keep up with her." In a video for Spotify, Aurora said that the god that inspired the song was Janus, a god with two faces.
Love how you feature Aurora an d Angelina. two of my favorite artists. You should try Diana Ankudinova another favorite of mine. A Dramatic Contralto, a voice unlike anything you've ever heard.
oh, here we go again! this is about janus, a god with one face in the past and one in the future. it's from the album 'the gods we can touch'. there is a stripped version, which didn't sound 80th. thanks for your reaction.
Nice reaction🥰 I love this song, but I prefer the live version at Vevo😍 I highly recommend her latest release Jacob Collier and Aurora with “A rock somewhere” x “The seed” live on a platform in the sea of Svalbard, Norway😍 For Greenpeace and our oceans💙🐋💙
Hello MommaOG. This is definetly no crier song an for me this version give me no special at all. But if i hear the acoustc version it is a hole another dimesion and give me goosebumps. Great reaction anyway. Thank you for still making reaction of my dear soulhealer.
@@cainealexander-mccord2805 that sounds crazy... 600 new since yesterday? Honestly, I don't pay very close attention to that day to day... (obviously! 😅) but I saw I was close to 3k and planning to make a community post. I'm having a rough time with my neck pain now too AND on day 7 of quitting smoking... so my mind is preoccupied the last week. lol. I hope you're well!
@@TheRealMommaOG Delighted to hear you've quit smoking! The first week is the worst, craving-wise. It's all out, now it's just behavioural. I never thought I could quit. (At times, I have the will power of an infant.) But I got so sick of getting pneumonia and bronchitis, I just put them down one day and never picked them up again. You just gotta want it. That's all it is for anything. You just gotta want it. I won't wish you luck because you don't need it. Not happy to hear about the pain, tho. Do feel better on that front soon. On the bright side, re: donation, I hope you make a million dollars and I'm trying to lead by example. The hope is that you are well...as well.
@@TheRealMommaOG P.S. Oh, and regarding subs, I keep a pretty close eye on that. Daily as you're tippytoeing toward the next milestone. 2.3k yesterday, 2.9k today. Won't be long now! Ah, the burden of greatness.

in Danish we don't say cry when you experience something beautiful or something sweet. we call it being touched.
The vevo vídeo is other level 🤯

I love Aurora's music and I wouldn't put his song in her top 50
You should know by now that everything Aurora does is different. Good foot tapper this one but I have heard her do it in a slower melancholy way.
OOPS AN INVOLUNTARY DUPE I LUV IT
