Problem of 1.2 engines is when vehicle is fully loaded, loaded means 5 people and boot is full with luggage then engine starts heating up. Even when you are in ghat section and AC is high, then engine heats up.
So for 1.2 engine you need to be lite in weight.
Then there is something called as 'car engine power to curb weight ratio'. Sonet is heavy and hence this ratio is bad for Sonet.

Ajkal Compact SUV ke trend itna bhayankar chal raha hai ki Companies customer ko hatchback wala engine SUV ke nam pe dhalle se bech rahi hai e.g. I20 ka 85HP wala same engine 1300 kg wale Venue aur Sonet me aa raha hai jo ki underpowered aur laggy feel hota hai usko compensate karne ke liye companies bhar bharke features de deti hai same haal waha tiago, altroz aur Punch ka same engine different body with heavy weight.
