After rewatching this video at least five times I sighed and added it to my "to watch" list for 2020. I was going to watch some deep cuts for 1991 anyway and now I know that it won't be the worst in terms of cinematograhy, if the whole movie is notoriously (Vanilla Ice's) style over substance.
Maus sings here about a girl he met after playing a show with Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti in 2003. They met after the show and there’s a backstory behind the song, which is that John and the Bennington girl traded e-mails for a while after this night, but eventually she stopped replying.

Words cannot express how I like this music video. The shots used are beautiful. I just found out that the cinematographer of 'Cool as Ice' was Spielberg favorite Janusz Kaminski, who's filmed Schindler's List and many other well-shot (and much better) movies since. Everybody's gotta start somewhere!
Vanilla Ice was actually Spielberg's original choice to play the role of Oskar Schindler. unfortunately, vanilla ice was too busy working on his third album 'Mind Blowin' and was unable to make time for a minor side project like Schindlers List
