Heading to the Boundary Waters - BWCA 2024

I didn't think the day would arrive - but it finally did. We took the long way up again, leaving work on Friday and arriving at Rockwood Outfitters on Sunday to head in early Monday morning. We camped in Coloma on Friday and drove up to Superior for Saturday night. We checked out the Ousage Trail along Lake Superior and Pattison State Falls. On our way up Highway 61, we stopped at Silver Creek, Tettegouche, a few waysides, and the Grand Marais harbor before arriving at Rockwood Outfitters.

lol it definitely feels like 500% humidity and poop pond seriously, that is wild. Making a note to eat the biscuits and gravy at the red royal. I miss BWCA, we have not canoed enough this summer but the stupid heat makes me want to avoid being out in it

I think the wind kept us off the lakes more than the heat this summer. But the humidity was killer for a while. You will not be disappointed by the biscuits and gravy. - bean
