What a lovely piece, and thank you for your tutorial! Very easy to follow, and not filled with a lot of unnecessary talking like many have. Thanks again, blessings.
A very beautiful cowl. It was very easy to follow your instructions along as you were very thorough compared to some other patterns made by people. I am left handed and because of how thorough you were including pointing out the next stitches and the helpful tips with using a stitch marker I was able to crochet this hooded cowl with ease compared to different crochet along videos I came across that were labeled very easy but the stitches were easy like the Suzette stitch but the person’s instructions were very very confusing and they didn’t point the stitches are instructions out very well and it just frustrated me to no end. I watched and tried probably 12 different videos before coming across yours. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS. Thank you very much for taking the time out of your day to make and post this video tutorial. I have subscribed to your channel because I enjoyed this tutorial and was very pleased with your instructions and look forward to more videos of patterns I may want to try. I’m not sure where you live but I live in Chatham, Ontario Canada where it does get fairly cold so as a last minute idea and something that I have crocheted as they always bug me to make something for them, I have made this cowl for each woman in my family that I give a Christmas gift too. I was able to make all 20 in about 3 weeks. Some I did make smaller length wise and wider or smaller width wise and some were for teenagers and children. Then I just finished additional 20 women’s and 20 children’s and 10 teenagers sizes that I made for the Women’s Shelter where mothers or women go that have been in a domestic violence situation or any other situation and need somewhere to live. I did those this past week and a half while I was off on holidays. I didn’t go anywhere but I do take the same time off every year at this time to look for last minute gifts and then wrap up everything so it’s done and I don’t have anything to worry about including going to any stores. I like to avoid the Christmas chaos as much as possible. AGAIN THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!
Hi Amanda, Thank you so much for your kind words and thank you for sharing your story. You are a very generous person to have shared so much of your time to create cowls for so many.
so i wanted to make mine a lot bigger i added a lot of extra chains to the foundation (114), after i joined it together and finished the first round it looks like it’s twisted, when i swear i was so careful and made sure it wasn’t when i joined it together 😭. would the cowl come out correctly if i didn’t join, finished all the rows and then just stitch it together when its finished??
I’ve redone it like 3 times just to make sure and it still comes out twisted lol, or maybe because it’s so long it looks like it’s twisted?? Idk help 😭

Yes, you can work in rows and then seam the ends, if you like and the stitching will look the same.
