There is something so satisfying watching 12 people line up to kick one dude's ass to some synth pop music. AND IF YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH THE SOUNDTRACK, THEN YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH ME, AND I SUGGEST YOU LET THAT ONE MARINATE
Not a bad single, he's obviously not trying to appeal to any crowd. He is simply trying a new form of making music and like he mentioned "People will listen to an album for instance and just pick a track they like to put on a playlist. They're not going to take the time to listen to an album anymore because they have to jump on the next thing." which I totally agree with! With the internet age music comes and goes so he's just doing whatever he feels/pleases really because it may just end up as "junk" eventually. I've always been about listening to albums all the way through and not singles and he's definitely the type of artist who makes albums not singles. If you haven't listened to his discography all the way through, do yourself a favor and listen to all of his music. He's amazing!
I couldn't agree more! They put a lot of time and effort into their album and make it on coherent thought rather than a bunch of singles. I think it's poetic what this album stands for and that's one of the reasons why I love this band so much. They put so much poetry and emotion into their work and it's often breathtaking!
This track will always remind me of a friend who I no longer talk to. They were other side of the world, when we heard this drop as two huge m83 fans we listened together. We were 16, met on Reddit.
