1 vs. 100th Floor: Earthquake Comparison! (what's worse?)

- In today's experiment, I took my 3D bar and placed it on 1st, 20th, 40th, 60th, 80th and 100th floor on a steel skyscraper while simulating the same earthquake. What is worse? Here's the results! (*Remember that the camera is always fixed.)

I hope that my simulations will educate the general public about potential earthquake related hazards and create more curiosity about Earth Science in general. I do also hope that my videos will inspire a future generation of amazing architects, engineers and scientists! We all need to peacefully work together to make this world a better place. :)
My goal is to show people around the world the effects of different earthquake shaking levels on various buildings and structures.
These simulations along with my piano music (Spotify/UA-cam: @pardonmypiano ) are part of my lifelong project called "In Terra Pax" that aims to bring financial and emotional support to victims affected by earthquakes around the world.

Amazing comparison, would hate to be the bartender in any of those scenarios with all the glass bottles flying around
Nice video again. The swinging makes an earthquake in a sky scraper frightening.
So, the quake in this scenario was fairly local? If it was roughly the same magnitude, but farther away, it would give a different result, right? Maybe you should do a scenario on the difference between P and S waves on buildings of various heights.
Right. We just had tornado this morning and the aftermath was mostly damages trees and about 700,000 power outages. But as you closer to ground zero, such a Lake Robert there is massive structural damage.
I'm so excited for the next video
I love your channel
I'm intrigued by earthquakes but I don't want to feel another one for a few years lord
Hey EarthquakeSim, been a while
Por favor simula el terremoto del 85 en México 🙏
an older youtuber called kostack studios had something called the dicing engine (basicaly it splits things if they are too stressed). maybe you could use it?
I’ve started my simulation channel because of Kostack Studios :)
Question. Would the loss of ceiling in the first one help to destabilze the building? The ceiling didn't come down in any of the other floors.
My house will survive more than that
What kind of magnitude is this, and what mercali rating would you put this at? 7.5 to 8.0 local quake on a strike slip fault?
Oh my, i love this❤
Can u do a compilation Earthquake in Croatia?
hey im your biggest fan ever can you do chozun supermarket in the Philippines plsss
What app(s) are used?
Interesting sim!
Can you do the Burj Khalifa pls?
Día 3 intentando que haga una simulación de la explosión de Beirut ❤
LPGM level 4 to me using JMA scale
I am late i was doing other earthquake project
But in future i do
The taller and narrower the building the more it will sway
