Please know that I will celebrate your Feast Day, Father Mike. That you said "Yes" to the Lord and surrendered it all to Him willingly. Thank you Father Mike. You helped me through my seasons, good and bad. As the Lord was with me, so were you with your podcasts, videos, etc. I pray for you, and all my brothers and sisters in the sacrifice and union of the Holy Mass.
Thank you Fr. Mike. You are an amazing child of God, anointed to allow us all to understand and experience the Love of the Father. Your life examples are so awesome for us to understand the spiritual things. Thank you Lord for the life of Fr. Mike. Blessed day to all the saints of the Church.
I just did the Heart Walk today after having open heart valve replacement surgery in March and hip replacement surgery in July. My wife walked less than a month after her second knee replacement. We had our saints cheering us on in the heart walk and our faith walk. We are so blessed to have them and to know that our cloud of witnesses are cheering and interceding for us every step of the way as we seek to ever draw closer to the Lord. Thank you, Father Mike, for calling this to our attention!
Many of us have no one on earth to cheer us on, instead, we're alone or resisted by our families. This homily was a good reminder. Pray for us, all saints in heaven!
Fr. Mike, this All Saints’ Day must be especially poignant for you since it is the first without your mom. Sending you comfort in the knowledge that you have such a powerful saint on the other side. Thank you for your ministry. I know I join my prayer for you to that of many others!
Please don’t ever apologize for showing your emotions, Father Mike. Thank you for this Mass and the poignant Homily. Thanks to all those who make this online Mass possible. Blessed be God!🙏🏻
God bless you Father Mike. I love the triathlon story. I never thought about that before, that this day will one day be everyone’s feast day. Wow !!!🙏🏻🥰
WOW!!! Me, You, ALL of us, Saints. I am cheering ALL of you on to approach our own finish lines sprinting toward Heaven!!! Thank you, Father Mike!!! 💙💙💙
This made me cry, fr. Thank you for this reminder. Im so beaten up the past years, looking like I cant make it to heaven. But im doing everything I can. Just getting out the mentality that my family programmed in me, that I can never be great, is so deep in me. But I want to be a Saint. Narcissistic Catholic families are really the worst Christians. They kill both God and normal family members within.
Love Fr. Mike's homilies. I have heard him tell that story about the triathlon before but it got me again. Fr. Mike you are a true gift from God. I see your passion for your vocation. I love listening to you.
I am sure that your precious mother is there cheering you on this year as you celebrate her feast day! Her dedication to being a great and holy mom has blessed all of our lives.
Thank you so much for your homily Father Mike, it. Was the very good O needed for the Hope of salvation after so many failings. God Bless and protect you 🙏
God bless you Fr. Mike. You never cease inspiring me. You always make everything about our journey to heaven seem so simple, doable, and exciting. I look forward to the day when I am the one cheering others as they happily struggle through their journey to heaven. Thank you Fr. Mike.
Wow, you did it again Father Mike. You gave us another excellent homily full of your great stories and emotions. Love listening to your wise words. You are truly one of a kind.
Fr. Mike thank you. I can see Christ in you. You have been given a great gift. You have no idea how you have touched my heart. I see you, I hear God’s message thru you each time. You are helping me to desire God, to know Him and to learn my faith. I want people to know Him, trust Him and love Him. God bless you, always 🙏🏼✝️
Your an awesome storyteller father Mike, I never get tired of hearing the triathlon story. I can't unassociate this story with the great cloud of witnesses verse,
🙏 Thank you so much. I am so grateful for this today - thank you 🙏 I cried and laughed and my heart is filled with peace, love, and gratitude 💝 This channel came to me as an answer to my prayers today. I was baptized Catholic and grew up Catholic. I then became involved with the LDS church, but realized after some years, though they are beautiful loving caring people and I miss them terribly, their doctrine in false. My children and I are celebrating All Saints Day and this was beautiful for all of us. Thank you and I couldn't sub fast enough. May God bless us all 🙏
I’ve been away from the Church for so long and on the night of November 1st, I dreamt myself as the Prodigal Son returning home and then I saw this Homily. This brought me to tears! Thank you.
Thank YOU Father Mike for your heartfelt Homily that touched me more than I can actually express into words. My Great Aunt Angie who was one of many great aunts that made an impact on my life as a child was born on All Saints' Day. Today(Yesterday) It was my first time since a child, that I found a church near me and went to Mass. Waking up this morning and listening to your Homily from yesterday really touches something deep in my soul- I am sure I not only write for myself but for others as we listened to your Homily- THANK YOU Father Mike for your love, encouragement, inspiration and devotion for me as well as for others - that truly is a Blessing and touch our lives every time we listen to you! God Bless YOU! ❤🙏🏻🕊️
Ah, understanding the true meaning of our existence - “simply surrender everything to God” - thanks again Fr. Mike. You are a great guide and inspiration for us all.
Fr. What a homily! I have laughed and cried with you but above all I have learned that I too can become a Saint. My family might laugh at that and they wouldn't be wrong but today and every day I accept my Father in Heaven loves me as I am and I am trying every day to give Him the love He so deserves despite my failings. Praying for you Fr. - Always J. 🙏
Thank you for offering this Mass for us and thank you for this thought provoking and comforting homily! There is no need to apologize for showing your emotions. Most of us have been there. Grief has a way of surprising us, even when we think we have dealt with it. We are praying for you and your family every day.
Tomorrow will be my first time attending mass on All Saints’ Day. I’m a new enquirer hoping to join the church. Thank you for giving me a deeper understanding of what tomorrow is all about. What a beautiful homily.
Just back from confession, and then I heard this wonderful message. Elsewhere, Fr. Mike has said confession is a place of victory. The triathlon story continues that theme. I’m glad he tells it a lot, because I’d never heard it and I’m so glad I did.
Thank you, father, for your kind words. My 100 year old aunt is on her final leg of a race. It gives me comfort to know that the saints and the angels are all rooting for her to enter into heaven.
God bless you father Mike and your ministry. My father and brother are now saints. They gave their whole life to God and they were in peace when they passed. They had battled cancer. Your sermon made it clear that they are here with us celebrating their day and all the other saints we know and don’t know. Thank you.
Fr. Mike, your Marathon story, where people who had finished came back and cheered on people still suffering the race had me thinking of one my own experiences. Back in 2003, I was in formation to become a priest and a few of us seminarians went on Retreat with our formater, Fr. Jim. Unfortunately I suffered a very painful health problem and was flown by helicopter to a hospital in Phila. When I awoke, I found myself laying in a hospital bed, hearing a quiet voice from a priest praying near my bed. I fell back to sleep, but still fondly remember that at that I was not alone. Saints may be praying for us in our worst moment and we are not alone.
Thank you Father Mike for always inspiring & bringing us closer to the Lord each day. May God always bless & guides you in your services to His people. 😇 We're praying for you always.
I’m doing the Bible and Catechism in a year, Father, I’m on day about 129. I love it so much and am learning a great deal. I’m regularly attending mass, and drawing so much closer to Christ. I’m also doing several of the Bible studies at the same time, if you can believe it. Thank you so much for all that you do, and Jeff Cavins also.
Brought me to tears. I have 7 children. All adopted and they suffer much mental illness. It’s so hard for me and my husband to watch them struggle and help them as best as we can. Somedays I feel I’m not enough. But your homily today tells me I’m am more than enough cause God relies on me for their souls. Thank you sweet Father
Going to a funeral tomorrow for a dear man, and now I know that he will be there cheering me in at the finish line! Thank you, Fr Mike for your beautiful and heartfelt homily.
Thank you Father Mike for this amazing message. Please know that your words, your passion, and your faith have not only helped me with my healing, but have also helped me return to my Catholic faith. You have been a major influence and inspiration for me this year. Thank you Father.
Father, your tears brought me to tears. Thank you for being a priest, Father Mike. Thank you for putting Mass online for those of us who can't make it there every day. God bless you. God continue to pour Your blessings on Ascension Presents.
Thank you Father Mike, I cried throughout this homily. I am a broken, poor sinner who tries so hard to do the right thing and I'm in confession very offen with the same sins. How can God love keep loving me when all I do is sin! I am a caregiver and today I quit my job! My client is someone who is so difficult that I choose to quit! Physically and mentally I could no longer help this woman. However, now I cry because perhaps I didn't try hard enough, maybe I could have done things differently. However, down deep I know the family and the client were just taking advantage. But then I ask would more patience cure the situation? So here I am again in turmoil with life! I will go to confession tomorrow because I feel I need to apologize to my Lord. And I continue to cry...
Thank you Fr. This story touched my heart, and the imagery it creates to us running the race to heaven with heavenly and our earthly companions who are cheering us on to victory. Praise the Lord.
