Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. PoweRage stainless steel Exhausts!

- Опубліковано 27 вер 2024
- These exhaust look great and in my opinion by far the best sounding (with the baffles ofcourse) and most affordable in the Indian market. These exhausts are the latest addition to my Interceptor 650. They offer a great sound and slightly enhanced performance and add a lot of style to my Interceptor.

Glad that i am able to receive stuart fillingham level of quality in your narration instant sub
Abhinav Bhatt and Stuart Fillingham are my major source of inspiration.
I have the polished version of these SS PoweRage pipes, they make such a difference. Weight, power, looks but most of all the sound is amazing
I knowwww right!!
This is the best exhaust I have ever seen in India. Thank you for the side by side comparison with the OEM.
Thank you for watching the video!
Have these on since the last 18 months along with the filter. Apart from the wonderful sound the silencers does not get hot and can be touched even after whole day of hard ride
I love that about them!
I heard that after replacing your exhaust and Air filter you need to change your ECU too I mean it's necessary to upgrade to a piggyback? coz the exhaust with air filter cost you around 25k ezzz and top of that add piggyback of 22k to make ECU and engine compatible with mods will cost you fortune
@@yeet3833 well, my airfilter was from K&N, which was of about 4k, and the exhausts costed me 14999. And no you don't have to change your ECU.
@@SrinivasGanesh oh thanks for the clearing confusion and one more thing is fuel x and booster plugs are same thing?
@@yeet3833 yep. Same thing.
The narration itself is a symphony to the ears. 👍

Haha thank you for such kind words and for watching the video brother! 🫶🏽
I have subbed your channel the moment I realized the quality of your voiceovers
Woah! Thank you so much for your kindness!
Awesome video.
Very informative.
The way you showed both mufflers side by side on the bike was great. You sold me on these mufflers for my interceptor.
I like the chrome short ones
I’m glad you liked the video! Thank you for watching! 🤩
This is such a time saver for anyone trying to install these exhausts on their own. Thanks to your heads up on sourcing 13 mms, saved me a day. Infact Powerage should consider hyperlinking this content.. Thank you..
Thank you so much for watching the video! And your kind words! 🫱🏽🫲🏾
these look similar to the Enfield Precision Exhaust seen in stuart fillingham's video right ? he mentions that hitchcock motorcycles sells them but they source it through another manufacturer
Yep these look very similar to that!
Please make a video on y u choosen powerrage over other after market exhaust , Just a comparison .
Sure thing! I will. Thank you for the content idea!
Are these the short ones ? I could see 2 versions in their site
Yes these are the short ones with brushed steel finish.
@@SrinivasGanesh Thank you for your response
Brother is it possible to make a short on the powerage sound you have.
Made a 10 min video on review and sound check. Uploading it shortly today.
Changing from stock to aftermarket exhaust, Have you felt any reduction in the heat dissipation from the engine??
There would be a difference. Since one cat con is removed. (The one in the exhausts) logically speaking ofcourse. But summers are upon us, and riding anything during afternoons is going to be a pain. :(
Hey Sri, I followed your installation video and DIY the same on my bike. I can sense (put my fingers near it) slight bit of hot air escaping at the junction of the slip on exhaust and the header tube.
Is that expected? I mean, I couldn’t have pushed the exhaust any more inside, the bolts are placed correctly and tight.
I believe that is just heat dissipating from the exhaust. The fitting is usually perfect. If not then you might wanna contact the company for a replacement. ✌🏽
hey Sri, does a change of exhaust and air filter require a change in ecu tuning ? is ecu tuning necessary for this kind of upgrade which you have done?
ECU will calibrate itself once you install these upgrades. Just let the engine idle for about 10-12mins. And it will do its thing.
Hey Srini, Great videos !! 👏Does these PoweRage exhausts slightly changes color in long run?
been running them since this video and they are intact. Just some carbon soon on the exhaust tips which is quite normal and comes off with a damp cloth.
Hello Srinivas,
Immediately after installing the exhausts and letting them idle, I took by bike for a ride.
However there is white smoke coming out of both the exhaust. Is it something I should be worried about ?
That is glass wool burning inside. This is normal and you should not be worried. Happy riding and Congratulations!
Greetings from Peru, I have doubts; I have opposite comments about the change of the Slip on, it would change the behavior of the exhaust valves and with this a small loss of power and greater fuel consumption, some indicate that it can cause damage to the engine. How has it been in all this time with the new exhausts, any important changes or abnormal behavior that you can tell me? I am about to change the tips for one equal to yours; I will only make that change, not the filter
Namastey from New Delhi, India. I have been using this since a year. And nothing has happened as of now. The fuel consumption has not gone down, moreover it entire depends how one is riding the motorcycle. If they are speeding unnecessarily then yes fuel economy will be affected. The logic behind an air filter upgrade is, it helps intake of the air. Once that is made, then definitely you need after market exhaust to expel the gasses out just as quickly the motorcycle is intaking the air. You will feel the change on your motorcycle. I've made videos and shorts on these small topics. Feel free to check them out. :) Thank you for watching the videos.
can we use the stock air filer along with the new exhausts or does it both need to be upgraded together
You can use the stock as well. But an after market one will have a better filament/ filtration.
Gotta love the classical music!
Haha I knowww right!!
I tried accessing the powerrage link provided in the description but the link is not responding. Please check if the link is correct. Thanks.

Haha didn’t ask for slip-ons link. Just searching for background music. I have aew 102 slip-ons installed on my GT
Sri, I read all the comments for my query but didn't find any which exactly solved it, Please help me.. I am going for these exhausts as I do not like the louder ones like RRP or AEW, also they don't look this good. My query is do I need to change the air filter with the powerrage exhausts? if yes then do I need to change the cover plate to stage 2 as well ? which air filter should I go for DNA/K&N/BMC/W2S ? if I changed both the exhausts and air filter, will my bike run hotter as the air fuel mixture would be much leaner ?? Please help.
I went with K&N. all the brands you mentioned are equally good. When you change your exhaust, gasses escape much more effectively, so no, I don’t think it will run hotter.
Excellent video. Very confused between this and SS Moto 2 into 1 full system.
Anything wrong with that system?
You'll lose the cool look of dual exhausts, that's all.
Plus it's always a personal preference. It's not that they are bad, they are equally good and have their own charm.
@@sinuslebastian6366 it's fine..I like function over form. Thanks
@@SrinivasGanesh I might go with these as it's quality is clearly evident..thanks a lot for quick reply.
Also consider the Tec Bike Parts Stinger 2 into 1. Very similar to the S&S one, but costs much less.
You’re creating cinematic masterpieces. Came here from your insta.
Could I get your opinion on powerrage exhausts vs AEWs vs Gursevaks in your eyes?
Looking forward to your response.
Me personally like the sound of Gursevaks the most, but the long shot variant is too wide and as huge as the stock ones. Then there’s AEWs, like the 103 one. But now just came across the powerrage. And damn, now im even more confused.
Powerage is the one to go for. Sounds great, looks good too. Doesn’t sound too loud for anyone’s taste. 🫱🏽🫲🏾
Thank you so much for the follow. 🫶🏽
@@SrinivasGanesh lessgo then, hope to see you around in Gurgaon🫡
@@SrinivasGanesh I read “You can even touch those exhausts after a hard run and they're still not hot!” in a thread. Does that apply to both the matte and the glossy finish ones? Or just the matte ones? Any idea?
@@amanxsharma20 hahaha sure.

Hey thank you so much for watching the video!! 🫱🏽🫲🏾🙌🏽
Such a nice video. I just discovered there is short and long exhaust. So how I should decide which one is better for my GT650?
Depends. If your commute makes you go in and out of traffic then short, easier to manoeuvre. If not, then longer. Both are actually the same.
I am badly confused... between AEW102 and this power rage..... i have heard AEWs irl... but not powerr rage.... which should i opt... i prefer powerrage as i have heard on youtube ... help needed.
You will have to take a call on it. :) if you want my opinion then, you are seeing a video on it. 😉 listen to both of them. But yea, PoweRage are much better sounding. Plus they don’t get hot. Meaning less risk of burning your pillion’s leg.
great video sir love your content and myself also ride a conti gt650 thinking of getting PoweRage exhaust , just bit confused between the short or the long one !
any suggestions
Sure, my purpose was, to ease navigation in traffic. :) you can go for either depending on your preference.

Does this grab too much unwanted attention, like from cops? , I mean at low revs how similar is it to the OEM ( with the baffles on ofc).
Almost same as oem in low revs.

@@rohithsrinivas2636 thank you so much for watching the video! :)
How heavy were the stock? How's it doing mileage-wise after weight reduction?
As I showed in the video, Stock are about 14 kilos. Mileage is same. About 23-24. It also depends on how you drive. More rev = less mileage.
@@SrinivasGanesh true, only if you have driven differently since the change 😊 but 23-24 is still good!
Have you tried Way2speed's nano fiber air filter?
I have not. But yes will try them. :) one day
Bro can you suggest which one to pick between aew and powerage?
My suggestion is the video that you just saw :)
AEW are too loud for my taste. With and without the baffles. These PoweRage ones look premium in my opinion. But that is just my opinion. :)
Thank for your Video!!!!!
Thank you for watching!!
What would you suggest Powerage or AEW?
Since I have Powerage, I will suggest them :)
Was planning AEW, now curious about this.
These are loud as AEWs. They are sweet sounding. Working on the sound check video. Will share soon.
@@SrinivasGanesh Also do you feel a noticeable difference with the exhaust, free flow filter and customized filter plate.
@@AverageHumanVlogs felt that with OEM exhausts also. Changing the air-filter and adding that plate made the bike more responsive.
Thanks for the reply.
Hi Srinivas. Would the firing of these exhausts be louder than the stock ? I am coming from the angle of harassment from cops in regard to the same. Any reason for not going for the AEWs? Thanks mate
AEWs are much more louder than these. And there is a video I did on its fly by. So that should give you an idea on what these sound like.
Thanks man
But are they louder than the stock ? I don't prefer very loud ones, hence the query
How's this compared to red rooster?
part of the reason I got this was that it is small and somewhat looks similar to the OEM exhausts. Red rooster is also good, but this one is of 14999 INR, and those will cost you about 19500. So this one is cheaper too. And sounds great as well.
Your video made me get these short ones with polished finish for my chrome mark 2. I love how light the bike feels now to my eyes.
Did you ever face problems with police with these exhausts?
Wow! I’m so glad you got them!! And no, these have the same sound decibel as the OEM ones. (With the baffles ofcourse) and no. No run in with the cops.

Are these long or short type?
Short
What's the mileage in city post exhaust installation
I get about 20~21. It really depends on the way you ride. :)
Hi Sri ! I'm a little confused. Are these the 'Short' versions of the Powerage or the regular ones? From the camera top view it appears to be the 'shortys' . Pls correct me if I'm wrong . Nevertheless they still look brilliant. Cheers.
Short ones. They look awesome!

Bro the tool kit that comes with bike is enough to change the exhaust.... I orderd long type so
yes it is.
Hey man I bought these exact same exhausts from this video they look and they sound amazing but after installing the exhaust the left side (where the saree guard is) when I rev the bike their is a very slight air leakage I have tightened the exhaust clamps I have even removed and reinstalled the exhaust but still the leakage kind of lessens but never fully goes away the Clamps I have made sure are FULLY backed up should I maybe add a sealent? Or should I not worry and just let it be and ignore it just seemed a bit weird because the right side is fully air tight
does it make a sound when the said air leakage happens? as in how do you know that the air is leaking?
@@SrinivasGaneshI basically put my hand behind the welded shroud where the Clamp is and I can feel air escaping but it is very little but it is their I have tried tightening it using different angles pushing the clamp up a bit pushing it all the way down a bit confused now tbh
Experiencing the same, any luck to block the air escaping out completely?
Does the bass go away or does it sound less punchy on higher RPMs? I read this in a review…
Been using this for more than a year and it is still the same. I have not ridden it without the baffles. Only when I was making a video of how it sounds without the said baffles.

Has the mileage dropped?
Hi, how’s the mileage of the motorcycle now?
about 19-20, that is purely because of my riding style. New Exhausts sound better, so you do tend to rev the motorcycle more than normal. haha

Do aftermarket exhaust increase mileage
Mileage depends on the riding style. And the mileage does not increase, it stays the same. :) Because of the sound, the rider often wants to hear it all the time, hence he/ she will rev it up to hear it more, resulting in lower mileage. Hope that makes sense. :)

@@SrinivasGanesh One more question... did this exhausts helps in the fuel efficiency ?
@@akki1337 it helps decrease it. 🤣
Kidding. It’s gonna be a little bit up and down from what you used to get on the OEM.
I got 23 on OEM. On this I get about 20. But always factor in the way people drive also. Naturally, because of the sound you would want to rev more. And wanna go faster (if you are on the younger side of carbon dating) hence it will result in mileage drop. But if it is ridden on normal conditions and normal speed, it will be almost exactly the same as OEM.

Since you have cut down a lot of the bulk from the sides now, can you mount luggage solutions like soft saddle bags to the sides ??
I know because it's nearly impossible with the stock ones because they are way too high and fat and would certainly touch the bottom of the bags.
I have a Glitter and dust interceptor myself, and I face the same problem as yours, the bulky stock exhausts are a bit of a nuisance, these stocks look much compact.
You definitely need a luggage rack if you want to mount them on the 'sides'. Else they definitely will move closer to the tyres given the Indian road conditions. But if you mount it on the seat that's not a biggie. Even with Stock exhausts, I could easily mount on the seat. I did try the Rynox saddles, those were great, but yeah, they sort of touched the exhausts if you didn't mount them high enough. Haven't had the chance of touring with these exhausts yet. I'm not sure if you are allowed to also, as other states are a lot more stricter when it comes to after market exhaust. Will surely upload a video when the day comes. Till then feel free to reach out to me for anything. :) Happy New Year.
First class video and I intend to get some of these for my Continental GT but as I understand it, for a true free flowing exhaust system you also have to replace the header pipes as they are restrictive too.
Yep. The entire exhaust has 3 catalytic converters. Replacing exhausts makes you remove one. Full system removes all three.
