Calves really haven’t “grown their brains” too much yet. Up till now it’s “follow mom, follow mom”, no thinking involved. Now it’s where do I go? Where’s mom? What do you want?”. They haven’t formed their own herd yet and they think running away is better than staying together. But they’ll learn. At least that’s my experience on the farm. Your calves today did a marvellous job together. I did go and look at the hats. I can’t wait to see what’s new. Cheers to you all. God bless.
As a prolific multi decade Mt Dew drinker (about 2L per day) I have to admire Jeff’s dedication. He has me outclassed with his Dew holster. I need one of those.
So glad they are staying around. Cutting out the middle man and selling straight to the consumers . Great video Mike. Thanks you for showing us another way to ranch.
Like Herding Cats...that was a great commercial and a great company to work for. As I did for 21 years. Love watching you and Jeff handling those "teenagers" so easily. God Bless from Southern Oklahoma
We will definitely miss Jeff. Thanks for all you do and It's not the same when you aren't there. Yesssss, it's always good. Thank you all for the wonderful content. We very much enjoy all. Thanks. Sherry and Gil Holloway
The calves look so healthy. The one really big red calf is so handsome. I wonder if you have concerns about preditors with the calves since they aren't as large as the cows and appear more vulnerable? Fantastic video! Thank you.
The little herd of newbies went on their FIRST CATTLE DRIVE! and they did pretty good. How awesome! Thanks for taking us with you on the Drive. It was great. Really enjoyed the ride.
Look at the babies go! They are growing so fast! So excited to watch there life on the ranch! Jeff is going to miss his babies for sure! I see tears coming! 😢
You and Jeff did a good job driving the calves, that's a hard thing to do on the good days. Congrats on getting that done! Thanks Mike, hope your remainder of the week is great! Have a good one!🤠
I was thinking about you loading them on the trailer and driving out to the pasture, off loading them. Obviously, your way was so much better art/science of herding them, much better. I want you to practice on your dance steps, Jeff-take care everyone and stay safe.
Joking with Jeff about taking a jar of dirt...... I'm from northern AR and I miss the area terribly. SO, I have an ice cream pail of red dirt and a jar of crystal clear water from the White River. I also took a pail of our black dirt to put on my dad's grave down there.
Really liked the look of those red calves. The calves all looked great as far as body and weight. Hopefully all goes well with them, especially that they stay where they are supposed to. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Mike thanks for sharing another great video. I hope everyone is feeling ok and have a safe day enjoy with a bless week. 😃hugs and prayers. Big 🐮🐮🐮growing fast.
Nice video and the move went pretty good. Tough as it was the downsizing may be the best thing for the farm for now. You guys are driving the farm and it is all yours, nothing wrong with that. Take care and good luck.
I saw the working oil or gas well working in the background. You should explain how this all works with the ranch or doesn't work. That would be interesting to me.
The baby did a good job going where you and Jeff wanted them to go.The one in the back with you got tired so he was going slow but I think they are doing great for the first time good jog guys.
Beautiful big sky!! Thank you for sharing your ranch with us!! I'd be interested in seeing the forage test report on the calf pasture... it may be surprising... with natural fat in the grass. Dryland plants us paraffins to drought proof themselves. The old timers used to figure they could fatten cattle on "prairie wool".
The hives are about a mile or so back. The Company that owns the hives takes care of them. That is the source of the Honey we sell in the Farm Store and online.
Remember when Jeff has gone, that growling makes them move ahahahahaha They are still very Cute 😍. That's so True,I'm very happy for You and Erin,it's a Happy Day 🙌🐦. JO JO IN VT 😆💕🍁💨🎃
Great addition to the farm store your own jar with a Bambi fart in it! Charge extra if there’s a bit of manure in it! Who wouldn’t want a Bambi fart jar? Calves did a good job with you guys guiding them!! How many calves do you have?
Mike... Do you every work the cows from horse back? Need to make one of the calves Cracker Jack Jr. to help herding the calves. I think those calves need their own Cracker Jack to lead them.
I think the calves did a great job in going to pasture. Of course, you and Jeff did a good job of pushing! Speaking of Jeff, how much longer will he be staying on the ranch, before heading back to California.............and, when will he return? You two fellas work so well with each other. Will the heifer calves be bred in the spring time? Have a great weekend. OH YEAH....I noted the left over snow that you had........Bev in Maine
You said “there’s lots of grass” I think you’ve been smoking it because all I see is brown straw out there and it’s pretty short as well. FEED them Babies and mommas MIKE !!!! Geez I’ll miss ya Jeff . I hate to see you go, with that being said whilst I sit here in SanDiego enjoying the warmer weather. Hahaha. I get it. I’d do the same thing. But it’ll still be strange not having you there helping Mike out.
They seemed remarkably well behaved. Why do bottle calves grow slower? Can you change the formula? Jeff is very good at herding. We will miss him. Is he coming back next summer? Looks like you need a power pack to charge your camera while you are filming. Your fields are so brown. Your humidity levels are much lower than I am used to, so you have much less morning dew to green up the grass.
I have been praying 🙏 for your little farm. For rain and success.
No-one could care better for these calves. Whether their lives are short or long, they’ve got the best home.
Rolling rolling rolling keep
Them doggies rolling raw hiding you're doing a great job you and Jeff Mike

Cheers to you all. God bless.
Very good way to look at it! Thanks
Jeff is a great guy and a wonderful asset to your ranch.
That he is. Thanks C.
They are like first graders on a field trip .
indeed
Thats for sure.
@@OurWyomingLife was those white blocks on both sides on the road bee hives?
@@GaHullbillyRanch Yep.
And here I was expecting a good laugh with the calves running everywhere lol. That went pretty smoothly
Ya never know whats gonna happen with calves!
So nice to see your herd growing!!
Beautiful day, beautiful sky. Nice video of the calves moving. Thanks for sharing
Well done. You are correct, no need a rowdy rodeo when moving calves or even cattle. See ya next year Jeff!
Calm and relaxed is the way to go Veronica.
Thanks for sharing our wyoming life I hope you have a great day
Thanks, you too!
👍
As a prolific multi decade Mt Dew drinker (about 2L per day) I have to admire Jeff’s dedication. He has me outclassed with his Dew holster. I need one of those.

Ohhh, that was fun to see, a baby calf trail ride, they did well and so did you fellas, nice job!
We will definitely miss Jeff. Thanks for all you do and It's not the same when you aren't there. Yesssss, it's always good. Thank you all for the wonderful content. We very much enjoy all. Thanks. Sherry and Gil Holloway
Why is this so entertaining? Mike, why you so good? MIKE! TELL US YOUR SERECTS.
Well that went good. Hopefully you don't have any escapees to see mom. Always enjoy your videos. Yep, going to miss Jeff for sure. Thanks for sharing
Gene, the fence was pretty solid, and Im not expecting any escapee's. But ya never know. Thanks for watching.
I sure am glad to hear y’all got grass. Hopefully next year is better for us.
Hope it is better for ya too mtower235.

26:34 the cows are there up along the fence line. He turns the corner and jump cuts and they vanished. Interesting.
Sure do miss them days, always did it on horse back 👍 great times . Thank you for sharing, God bless you and your family.
I like those open skies
Like babies of any living creature, they have to grow up and be adults. Nice job of moving those little doggies along! Be Blessed!
They gotta learn to Cow! Thanks for watching Janes

Hi Guy's, hope all is Well..
Jey Mark, we're doing well.
Love Jeff's sound effects!

Thank you very much!
Jeff growling at calves😄
The calves react well to it. Ya go with what works!
JEFF!!! ALWAYS ON POINT. KNOWS WHERE TO BE AND WHEN TO BE THERE!!!

You and Jeff did a good job driving the calves, that's a hard thing to do on the good days. Congrats on getting that done! Thanks Mike, hope your remainder of the week is great! Have a good one!🤠
Thanks 👍
I for one will really miss you Jeff.
Everyone knows that with livestock having more grass than animals is a very good thing! It will be interesting to watch these calves grow
Thats for sure Cowgirl. Can you ever have to much grass? The next time we see them we will all be surprised by the growth.
I was thinking about you loading them on the trailer and driving out to the pasture, off loading them. Obviously, your way was so much better art/science of herding them, much better. I want you to practice on your dance steps, Jeff-take care everyone and stay safe.
LOL I like that idea. Jeff could practice and make a dance video!
Good afternoon everyone- Quick and easy steps to Alan Jackson' "Good Time" enjoy!!!
Another good day on the ranch
It sure was Deb.
Always enjoy watching your channel I learned a lot thanks Mike and Erin.
Thanks for watching!
i think Jeff is going to miss his babies when he leaves for the winter hugsssssss
I think you're right. He will miss the babies.
A good day! So glad to hear that you will be keeping the calves! They are the future of the ranch! Thanks Mike and Jeff for sharing!
You got that right, it sure was. Thanks for watching Dan 821.

another great video brother keep them coming from the imperial co California.
Much appreciated
What a great pivot in your business plan. Keep the calves and don’t let the meat packersdecide how much your make.
Exactly Anthony. Thanks for watching.
I think they learn by doing it over an over,an watching the big girls, they are so cute 🥰
I think so too. Learn by doing.
Watching you and Jeff move the calves Is kind of nostalgic for me! 🤠
Would a solar powered water tank heater work? (for the icy mornings?)🤔
Nice video and the move went pretty good. Tough as it was the downsizing may be the best thing for the farm for now. You guys are driving the farm and it is all yours, nothing wrong with that. Take care and good luck.
Thanks for watching EJ.

The calves did real well today for sure.
I agree the less stress you put on them the better .
Yep! Stress free is the best! Thanks for watching.
Did a lot of work out side of Riverton Wyoming.
The calves did pretty good. Like most kids, they had to stop a few times for snacks.
Thats a pretty good analogy Val.

You're so sweet to the cows
the family von trapp.... french in it orso. you made me giggle
Where those are the OWL beehives? Who manages them? You could do a segment on that.
Been mentioned a time or two but I don't remember the deal
The hives are about a mile or so back. The Company that owns the hives takes care of them. That is the source of the Honey we sell in the Farm Store and online.
@@OurWyomingLife us beekeepers are an inquisitive bunch
There’s always a first time for moving calves on the ranch found this video very interesting of how much slower they are I was in the big cows
Glad you enjoyed it Rebekah.
Wow you have a very big farm and such wonderful cows wha a job I really enjoy watching your wonderful videos Rosa olbera
Remember when Jeff has gone, that growling makes them move ahahahahaha

JO JO IN VT 😆💕🍁💨🎃
Go get them. That's walking money, my grandaddy used to say.
thats the truth!
My sweet friend, Kathryn says cash on hooves.
I’m in UK England to be precise your ranch is bigger than some counties over here LOL
were those beehives you walked past? If so that was a bunch!
yup they were :)
have you closed up the bee's for the winter yet ???
Great addition to the farm store your own jar with a Bambi fart in it! Charge extra if there’s a bit of manure in it! Who wouldn’t want a Bambi fart jar? Calves did a good job with you guys guiding them!! How many calves do you have?
Mike please please now is the spelling for the hats. Can you put in description? Thank you
Mike... Do you every work the cows from horse back? Need to make one of the calves Cracker Jack Jr. to help herding the calves. I think those calves need their own Cracker Jack to lead them.
Nov5 40degtees Nd we ate working calves also wants to rain hope not but we do need it
Calves are a Ranch Rodeo,I always turned side`ways when working them !! It protects your UM !!
Larry, Thats not a bad practice in my experience. Thanks for watching.

He addressed every question you just asked, view it again with the sound on.
Hi Mike, how many heffers and steers do you have there? And how old will they be when you breed them for the first time? X
Tune in Sunday night for the Patreon Live stream. I plan on covering that subject then. Thanks for watching Amy.
@@OurWyomingLife I will! Thank you for replying x
another cattle drive with some good looking horses..
Nice cattle (calf ) drive
Calves did good moving to Pasture..
They sure did. I was very happy.
Did anyone else automatically think of Michelle on the OG Full house when Mike said they have little legs?
You said “there’s lots of grass” I think you’ve been smoking it because all I see is brown straw out there and it’s pretty short as well. FEED them Babies and mommas MIKE !!!! Geez
I’ll miss ya Jeff . I hate to see you go, with that being said whilst I sit here in SanDiego enjoying the warmer weather. Hahaha. I get it. I’d do the same thing. But it’ll still be strange not having you there helping Mike out.
Brown or Green they will still eat it
Maybe check the stress hormones in the cattle when they are out in pasture and when they are corraled. Might explain the differences in weight gain.
Is there solar something to keep the water worm inof on the market …??
They seemed remarkably well behaved. Why do bottle calves grow slower? Can you change the formula? Jeff is very good at herding. We will miss him. Is he coming back next summer?
Looks like you need a power pack to charge your camera while you are filming.
Your fields are so brown. Your humidity levels are much lower than I am used to, so you have much less morning dew to green up the grass.
How many acres do you have? Your place seems to be huge!
Is Jeff coming back in the spring,??
I like October and March/April cause it's not too hot or cold
if the winter weather gets ugly will you bring the calves and ladies closer to HQ ?
Yes, when the weather gets where the ground is covered with snow, and we have to start feeding them Hay we will move them in.
Long way to go and a short time to get there.
This is what you are to use crackerjack for , a leader to the youngsters
Are there any heifer calves in this group you are moving in the first part this video
There sure is some big and bulky calves in this group, my guess is they are the steers that look like they are built like a bull
How many oil rigs are on your property? Are they active or not allowed at this time?
How many calves are there.
Is Jeff coming back to the ranch
