I love Whitney's view on promoting her son's autonomy, that's such a valid and wise perspective. I've been a longtime follower of Allison & she's incredibly talented, kind and it's so amazing to see the hardwork and dream job come to life. The fresh perspective, and passion for fashion is so evident, and helping people become comfortable in their own style, in their own bodies and showing up in everyday life- is so important- and are such valuable tools for overall wellness. I kind of freaked when Allison said 'matchy matchy' - anyone else feeling like they're wearing a leather belt on their first day at Teen Vogue vibes?? Anyway, loved this interview. I was unfamiliar with Allison but halfway through this I ordered her book and now, a short 24 hours later, I've got it on my desk and can't wait to read. I also feel like a lot of her wisdom can apply to interior design, too!
@AllisonBornstein I loved when you said you like more simple clothing so you go crazy with the accessories - I *need* to see this shown in an Accessories Try On video on your channel!
I love the idea about just having another set of eyes. Just recently I had to go to an event and the dress I bought did not work out so I was putting together an outfit from my closet and I was really insecure about it until my daughter told me that it looked like Emily in Paris, but not crazy which I think is my ideal look and that made me feel so confident.
My father wanted a boy so he brought me loads of sports wear...while my mum brought me flowery clothes. It was very confusing! I think it's great that now people are more aware of letting their children make there own choices. 😊💜👍
Absolutely love Allison’s talent, looks, and book. I have never viewed Whit before but I stopped the video at 1:53, wrote this and left. I may have missed something incredible but I am 52 years old and the “like” in every sentence, the long drawling vowels - I can’t even listen.

Am I the only one thinking about things I got rid of years ago and wishing I didn’t 😅

Tim should give a Ted Talk on his T-shirts.
Often stylists have stylists like the psychologists
That tshirt is horrendous 😩
