That's awesome to hear! Isn't it so interesting that before trying, we think things will take SO long to see results, and yet, once we take the plunge, great results actually happen quite quickly? I mean 2.5% body fat drop in 10 days is objectively awesome 💪 Thanks for watching!
I’m 1 month in keto and IF, lost 20lbs. I had 1 cheat day per week and had some dirty keto meals. It takes me 1 full day and half to get into ketosis. I’m 214 and was 234 last month, I kept my strength which is insane to me and run faster and longer. I can do more pull ups and feel great overall. Also I experienced some “keto flu” symptoms like heart palpitations, headache, cramps. I learned to increase my salt on foods and eat more spinach/asparagus. Also drink mineral water, diet Gatorade(no sugar) and cut back to just one cup of coffee a day(sometimes 2). With that my “keto flu” symptoms went away
I have been watching your videos since your SCD experience and you look so much more different, less puffy and healthier in general. You look really amazing and you shoud be proud to have this amazing determination towards your goals! Truly inspiring
Thanks so, SO much for the encouragement! Reading “puffy” made me literally lol. Did/are you doing SCD? Are you tracking towards your goals? 🙏🏻 thanks again, Xoabel!
Thanks so much Michelle! Really valuable to know that IF was effective for belly fat because that’s a pretty big sticking point for me... I feel like I lost fat everywhere except my belly lol. Are you still doing SCD?
Have covid and have stumbled across this and have actually been doing this for 6 days but with a 36 hour fast ate kinda good but about 100 carbs then did another 24 hour fast because I was not hungry. Now I am her and loving finding you.
Thank you for posting this, I love the data. It helps to demystify all the food information I was given by society, culture, etc. Food is information we give our bodies to function in a specific way. I have been Pre Diabetic for a while and have tried juicing, and other stuff...I have found fasting to be the best option. I was doing 2 meals and 12 hour fasting. So, I am going to plunge into your research and see how my body responds. I am so intimidated but I trust my body will respond according to what I put in it. Just joined your FB group! I got so hopeful when you shared you reversed your diagnosis. I cried!
Thanks so much for sharing your experience! The diagnosis of pre-diabetes was definitely a scary one. I was really surprised that the blood work showed normal markers throughout so relatively quickly. How are things going now, Sol? 🙏
Did a 16/8 IF plan with keto at the same time. I dropped 19 lbs in 36 days. I hadn't planned on exercising (weight training with medium weights and daily walking) but I had so much more energy I started doing some kind of exercise/physical activity every day. Went from 239 to 220 at 6 feet tall with a big frame. I believe I lost more fat, but because I was active and weight training (just simple dumbbells at home), I gained muscle, which is heavier than fat. Highly recommended, and btw, I was not hungry as often as when I was chowing down on simple-carbs all the time.
Wow... I don’t have the courage (yet) to try WFPB... good on you! I’m so curious.. it seems like you had pretty great results on SCD, so what is it about the SCD didn’t work for you to make you wanna make a change to WFPB?
@@MauriceMoves I am just experimenting different things to see what will give me the best results since I have a lot of weight I need to lose. Like 70 lbs still to go.
sapphires Rage that’s really awesome that you’re taking such an experimental approach to figure out what works best for you 🙌🏼 if you have the time, I think it’s worth researching IF because my own research shows that no matter what diet you choose, adding IF amplifies results like crazy. In short, increased insulin = increased fat/weight. And every time we eat anything, insulin rises (whether it’s ice cream or a salad). So by doing IF, the frequency of insulin spikes decrease period. Regardless, keep killing it! 😎💪🏼
@@MauriceMoves How long are you fasting? When I was doing Keto, I fasted for 14 to 16 hrs per day. I think my problem with keto was my food addictions. To name a few... summer sausage, cheese, butter, heavy cream.. and artificial sweeteners. I was always looking for ways to have sweets also. I'm doing this WFPB to challenge myself to give up my addictions. Good luck on your second month!
sapphires Rage food addiction is so real; for me, specifically is/was sugar addiction. My fasting regiment has been 20:4 in month one, and this month I’m STRIVING for OMAD (but not forcing it). To help me transition, while I’m fasting, I allow myself one coffee with erythritol as a natural non-insulin-spiking sweetener, and in my 4-hour window, if I was desperate, would allow myself a can of Zevia (also natural and non-insulin spiking). The “magical” thing about keto for me is that eating enough healthy fats literally kept me feeling full for so long that it wasn’t even a deep challenge for me to not eat until 5/6 pm. That said, prior to SCD, I was never used to eating breakfast anyways, so that must’ve contributed to the ease of transitioning.
Stephen Beckstead thanks for the straight up honesty there Stephen... just rewatched it... not only are they too frequent but also way too loud... gonna find something more suitable. Thanks again 🙏🏻😳
Anyone here doing keto without weight in mind? i was over feeling horrible after eating a big carb loaded meal everyday. so i began yesterday trying keto-based eating. main goal is staying away from grains. and otherwise keeping carbs below 50g.
Weight is not one of the worse metrics to be tracking… when losing weight… which is the point of a diet.. most people need to be looking at the scale and realizing their progress unless they’re an athlete that is very concerned with muscle mass.
I did! But it wasn’t as bad for me as horror stories I saw when researching... TMI but had the runs every day straight for two whole weeks... but didn’t actually FEEL sick in general which was fortunate... what did you experience?! How are you finding the slow carb diet?
I was also told by my doctor that I have insulin resistance, and I have a family history of type 2 diabetes, so I know I should probably be doing keto to stave off the negative effects of too much insulin. It’s just that keto scares the **** out of me. I’m afraid of being hungry and having cravings all the time. I’ve never been good at dieting. How did you do it?
Thanks for sharing so candidly. Truth be told, when I first learned about keto and I.F. as separate concepts (not even combined), they both seemed impossible. It was only after the scary diagnosis that I was pushed to research and out of the three macros (fat, protein, and carbs), fat is the one that makes us feel fullest for longest. It was only then that I felt comfortable with trying it out, and lo and behold, the interwebs weren’t wrong (at least for my body). Scariest thing to me, is that keto is binary; so there’s no such thing as “half-keto”. I think that’s really an individual thing; whether or not the fear for health is strong enough yet to push through no more sugary drinks, pasta, and desserts 🙈
Hey man how’s it going with the keto and IF I’m sure most of my bloating and energy levels dropping are due to carbs and I wanna fix it any advice on cravings
Can I have butter in my morning coffee or will that break my fast, I usually break my fast (at least that what I think I'm doing) at 1pm each day. I've lost 5 kgs so far. Thankyou for your guidance too.😊

There are many things we can do when we plateau on Keto, however, by far the most effective thing seems to be adding intermittent fasting, ideally, cutting your eating window to 6 hours a day, and fasting (only drinking water, tea, or black coffee) for 18 hours a day. How long have you been doing keto?
Hey! I'm still doing Keto and IF, but I haven't been as strict with IF over the past few months. January 1st, I'm going back to super strict keto and O.M.A.D. Are you doing keto and/or intermittent fasting?
You should entirely turn off the TV and all social media too. Ditch the smart phone (Apple no doubt). Then we won't have watch someone who appears entirely consumed by image, clothing, distracting watches and a clinically devoid apartment. I dunno, just seems like you're trying very hard to be someone you're not. /end rant
I’m glad I found this video! I’m on day 10 of my keto + IF journey. I’ve lost 3.65kg so far and 2.5% body fat. It’s been a great experience so far.

I know I'm late but you don't get hungry on Keto, even if you're doing IF. The key is fat like Get It Together said to you. Hope you try it.
Uhh? How could you be hungry eating bacon and eggs?
What was your IF routine? 16:8? 20:4?
I lost 37 pounds already in two months hsit is rediculous i fell off but my body didn't appreciate it dont try it you will reject any fried food etc
Your Keto + IF playlist is PURE GOLD !!
