In Hungary ppl close the door right behind your feet, watch out for a broken ankle, while in Turkey and the whole Mediterranean people come out with you and wait till you go far away. My biggest culture shock in Hungary..I am friendly by the way.

Ha egy település vásártartási jogot kapott, az nagy dolog volt. Vidéken ma már többnyire a vasárnapokra és ünnepnapokra szorulnak a vásárok. Ez utóbbi a búcsú. Bár ezeket ma már gyakrabban nevezik fesztiváloknak. Fairs were held in a similar way in Hungary in the past. A fair could only be held with the permission of the ruler. Everything was regulated in the permit. If a settlement received the right to hold a fair, it was a big thing. In the countryside, fairs are now mostly relegated to Sundays and holidays. The latter is búcsú. Although these are now more often called festivals.
I always take my shoes off while going into anyone's house for fear of tracking something in.

They do but inside the house, in Előszoba, and some don't mind wearing it in the house.
