Wonderful! I know Umbumbulu well. My father was born there. The area is conservative so there is always suspicion. You can still do your job in rural areas but there is some kind of sn established protocol which involves talking to an induna first to get a permission. Once you get a permission you can hopefully justify your presence to anyone and you can say let's go to induna. Sometimes induna can assign you a "bodyguard" who would help with explanations if there is someone who is offended. Now to approach induna you don't come empty handed 😅
I am grateful that your life was spared. You're doing a phenomenal job. How about consulting with the local chief in order to get permission to shoot in that particular area.? You can also bring more back the segment that deals with local businesses e.g. the people making grass mats, clay pots, beadwork etc
I really shoot as I go and that process may delay me getting to many villages I want to cover. Also, I will end up paying monies to Chief that I don’t want to pay. Many foreigners come to villages shoot and go and villagers allow them. It’s just a matter of us respect us too as much as we respect others. Thank you. 🙏🏾❤️

We love you and we want you to be safe and protected all the time ,because your work has helped thousands of people in this country. Maybe you should expand the show and take it to television, currently there's no show like yours. Your show does deserve that recognition. Thank you I love you. ❤ ❤❤

That’s so wild and I’m sorry Aunt Velile…I guess people are weary of strangers as South Africa is being spoilt by criminals that are often not even from the said area
Sorry about your experience Sisi, maybe change the strategy by making appointment with people's houses to interview them about their houses. Maybe include small business like cattle's, shopping centres, etc. I'm sure mostly business people in the areas will welcome you and even show you their own houses.
Sisi it is so painful to hear that ,please consider investing in a drone park at one place and take your area view without being noticed nor driving to close to thier houses and move on ,your channel have gave me a motivation to build in rural and i wish it get to a number of people
I will consider that although I tried once and all villagers started looking at the drone saying “abantu bahulumeni”. 😂😂. Just that scared me too. 🙏🏾❤️

Sorry my sus🥰my suggestion is to go wit someone that knows the area well…and that someone must also alert the villagers that u coming💕💕I wud love for you to go to Mahikeng at a village called Mosiane view…but the indunas must be informed…ijoo I love your channel God bless and protect you🙌🏾🙏

Ow my God, I thank God for your life. Sisi my God protect you all the time, yooh this job that you doing is not easy, I can emagine how shaken you were eish, and agat I can emagine where this guy coming from, no one trust no one even if you are innocent people think the west. I can emagine how scared you were, sorry my baby. It's difficult to go to the chief as you explain sometimes you just c the 🏠 house while you driving alongside the road, We need to protect each other with prayers, that is why when we pray we even pray for those ones we never met. MY THE GOOD GOD PROTECTED YOU AND COVER YOU WITH HIS FEATHERS AND HIDE YOU AND YOUR UNDER HIS WINGS ALL THE TIME. GOD IS A LOVING FATHER HE LOVES SO MUCH NOTHING WILL HAPPEN TO YOU, YOU ARE UNDER HIS WATCH 24/7. Take care Velile, we love.

This is actually one of the reasons I can't live in South Africa. No amount of beauty or affordable land can make me live there. LIfe is too cheap there. But I love your channel.
Indeed thats true - that is the downfall of rural development- its time the rural areas are formalised. The recent similar incident is in Camperdown where foreigners were scamming land buyers.
As you know Velile I also love to showcase the village. So, as a safety precaution, if I see there are people, I always introduce myself and let them know I have a youtube channel and I'm showcasing their beautiful houses to show people we also live well in the village. I always ask for permission unless I do not see anyone. Stay safe. I wish more people appreciate what you are doing for villages.
It's a polite universal gesture to always introduce yourself weather in a rural area or suburban area, anyone would react to strangers filming their homes without their consent... It's best to always alert the chief or estate agent about filming
So sorry that you had to experience that. Maybe you need to add another focus in your channel where you show and talk about house deco, landscape, sharing antique shops,
@@VelileLifestyleDecorTV let's try it. When you went to "At Home" and that video got a lot of views, I got a lot of inspiration from it. Consider shooting in less hectic areas and consulting with the owners first.
My brother has church,at some point they started to go pray in mountains in Kzn as they approach the mountain they heard gun fire and immediately run back home, after that they were told that they need chief approval to go up the hill cause there are houses around and automatically those who stay there think bayahlaselwa😢
The best way to tackle rural areas especially in local KZN is going through local Chiefs. I know this as I spent 10 years of my career working in rural areas. Not speaking the language is not a major issue, but respect the locals is a big issue. I used to take my colleagues of all races and we were always welcomed.
I am from the rural areas and I know that part. I shoot in many areas without a problem. The moral of the story here is the fact that people are doing criminal acts using people’s homes. That alone now makes villagers not happy with anyone shooting especially in this particular area.

Most of the area they have lot of enemies that is why 😢,people are nolonger welcoming because of crime mbumbulu, msinga, nkandla zwelibovu should get a permission from induna.
We thank God for yo life,M from Ladysmith Kzn ..If u want to shoot in Kzn pls ask to speak to the chief/chancellor or any person who holds the highest rank first ,they will giv a go ahead also they will alert others,
You see Velile, my beautiful sister, you are a real lady. According to my little knowledge of the law, the rural habitation lands under chiefs and headmen called izinduna are not for sale to anyone else other than the chief and induna. You only pay PTO, that is the permission to occupy. Only the municipal authorities sell lands and title deeds for human habitation. Thank you. I am open for correction.
Thank you Velile for your response. I wish people would know more about law sothat there would be no exploitation. I appreciate your work. I am from KwaZulu Natal.@@VelileLifestyleDecorTV
I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, O Lord, show this also to thy servant: whether after death, as soon as every one of us yields up his soul, we shall be kept in rest until those times come when thou wilt renew the creation, or whether we shall be tormented at once?" 76 He answered me and said, "I will show you that also, but do not be associated with those who have shown scorn, nor number yourself among those who are tormented. 77 For you have a treasure of works laid up with the Most High; but it will not be shown to you until the last times. 78 Now, concerning death, the teaching is: When the decisive decree has gone forth from the Most High that a man shall die, as the spirit leaves the body to return again to him who gave it, first of all it adores the glory of the Most High. 79 And if it is one of those who have shown scorn and have not kept the way of the Most High, and who have despised his law, and who have hated those who fear the Most High -- 80 such spirits shall not enter into habitations, but shall immediately wander about in torments, ever grieving and sad, in seven ways. 81 The first way, because they have scorned the law of the Most High. 82 The second way, because they cannot now make a good repentance that they may live. 83 The third way, they shall see the reward laid up for those who have trusted the covenants of the Most High. 84 The fourth way, they shall consider the torment laid up for themselves in the last days. 85 The fifth way, they shall see how the habitations of the others are guarded by angels in profound quiet. 86 The sixth way, they shall see how some of them will pass over into torments. 87 The seventh way, which is worse than all the ways that have been mentioned, because they shall utterly waste away in confusion and be consumed with shame, and shall wither with fear at seeing the glory of the Most High before whom they sinned while they were alive, and before whom they are to be judged in the last times. 88 "Now this is the order of those who have kept the ways of the Most High, when they shall be separated from their mortal body. 89 During the time that they lived in it, they laboriously served the Most High, and withstood danger every hour, that they might keep the law of the Lawgiver perfectly. 90 Therefore this is the teaching concerning them: 91 First of all, they shall see with great joy the glory of him who receives them, for they shall have rest in seven orders. 92 The first order, because they have striven with great effort to overcome the evil thought which was formed with them, that it might not lead them astray from life into death. 93 The second order, because they see the perplexity in which the souls of the unrighteous wander, and the punishment that awaits them. 94 The third order, they see the witness which he who formed them bears concerning them, that while they were alive they kept the law which was given them in trust. 95 The fourth order, they understand the rest which they now enjoy, being gathered into their chambers and guarded by angels in profound quiet, and the glory which awaits them in the last days. 96 The fifth order, they rejoice that they have now escaped what is corruptible, and shall inherit what is to come; and besides they see the straits and toil from which they have been delivered, and the spacious liberty which they are to receive and enjoy in immortality. 97 The sixth order, when it is shown to them how their face is to shine like the sun, and how they are to be made like the light of the stars, being incorruptible from then on. 98 The seventh order, which is greater than all that have been mentioned, because they shall rejoice with boldness, and shall be confident without confusion, and shall be glad without fear, for they hasten to behold the face of him whom they served in life and from whom they are to receive their reward when glorified. 99 This is the order of the souls of the righteous, as henceforth is announced; and the aforesaid are the ways of torment which those who would not give heed shall suffer hereafter." 100 I answered and said, "Will time therefore be given to the souls, after they have been separated from the bodies, to see what you have described to me?" 101 He said to me, "They shall have freedom for seven days, so that during these seven days they may see the things of which you have been told, and afterwards they shall be gathered in their habitations." 102 I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, show further to me, thy servant, whether on the day of judgment the righteous will be able to intercede for the unrighteous or to entreat the Most High for them, 103 fathers for sons or sons for parents, brothers for brothers, relatives for their kinsmen, or friends for those who are most dear." 104 He answered me and said, "Since you have found favor in my sight, I will show you this also. The day of judgment is decisive and displays to all the seal of truth. Just as now a father does not send his son, or a son his father, or a master his servant, or a friend his dearest friend, to be ill or sleep or eat or be healed in his stead, 105 so no one shall ever pray for another on that day, neither shall any one lay a burden on another; for then every one shall bear his own righteousness and unrighteousness." 2 Esdras 7:75 ///////////////////////////,,,,,,,,,,,

Nxhese mtase, I can only imagine how frightening that encounter was😮 Askies sisi😟 But we thank God you were not harmed This is like a bump in the road dear, just put it all behind you and lets go toward the 50K mark.
Remember those documentaries have a lot of background work. Behind the scenes they go and ask for permission from the local Chief. That way you are safe and everyone knows that you are there under authority. Some places experience assassination especially around KZN so people are naturally cautious.
You have to ask for permission first, somebody else would have hurt you,or called the cops for trespassing.Rather arrange with someone from the place to tour you around.Thank God for your safety.
Hi. Consider putting magnetic stickers on your vehicle when filming so that people can easily identify you. Create a logo for your channel that looks like a Media logo, with your channel name as well as the UA-cam logo on it. It might help.
That is a good idea however at the same time it might not be good for her in the long run . Her safety will be compromised as anyone can easily spot or identify its her,if she does this alone as a woman it's not safe at all.
Visibility is also a tricky situation and comes with a lot of criminals following around. It’s a difficult situation but I appreciate your thought. This would have worked long ago. 🙏🏾❤️

Most of the area they have lot of enemies that is why 😢,people are nolonger welcoming because of crime mbumbulu, msinga, nkandla zwelibovu should get a permission from induna.
We thank God for yo life,M from Ladysmith Kzn ..If u want to shoot in Kzn pls ask to speak to the chief/chancellor or any person who holds the highest rank first ,they will giv a go ahead also they will alert others,
He had every right to be angry about it. You're a stranger just taking videos of another strangers house. It's good that you resolved it though
Very true and these tittle deeds they give people I have no idea where they come from. 🙏🏾❤️
92 The first order, because they have striven with great effort to overcome the evil thought which was formed with them, that it might not lead them astray from life into death. 93 The second order, because they see the perplexity in which the souls of the unrighteous wander, and the punishment that awaits them. 94 The third order, they see the witness which he who formed them bears concerning them, that while they were alive they kept the law which was given them in trust. 95 The fourth order, they understand the rest which they now enjoy, being gathered into their chambers and guarded by angels in profound quiet, and the glory which awaits them in the last days. 96 The fifth order, they rejoice that they have now escaped what is corruptible, and shall inherit what is to come;
and besides they see the straits and toil from which they have been delivered, and the spacious liberty which they are to receive and enjoy in immortality.
99 This is the order of the souls of the righteous, as henceforth is announced; and the aforesaid are the ways of torment which those who would not give heed shall suffer hereafter." 100 I answered and said, "Will time therefore be given to the souls, after they have been separated from the bodies, to see what you have described to me?" 101 He said to me, "They shall have freedom for seven days, so that during these seven days they may see the things of which you have been told, and afterwards they shall be gathered in their habitations."
102 I answered and said, "If I have found favor in thy sight, show further to me, thy servant, whether on the day of judgment the righteous will be able to intercede for the unrighteous or to entreat the Most High for them, 103 fathers for sons or sons for parents, brothers for brothers, relatives for their kinsmen, or friends for those who are most dear." 104 He answered me and said, "Since you have found favor in my sight, I will show you this also. The day of judgment is decisive and displays to all the seal of truth. Just as now a father does not send his son, or a son his father, or a master his servant, or a friend his dearest friend, to be ill or sleep or eat or be healed in his stead, 105 so no one shall ever pray for another on that day, neither shall any one lay a burden on another; for then every one shall bear his own righteousness and unrighteousness." 2 Esdras 7:75

Phephisa Sisi omdala ngyathanda ichannel.
Apologies to you ccV. 😊
Please speak to induna so that they can guide you.
Of course the guy was teling the truth.
Ask the chief sisi they will assist with a guide to identify you're not a criminal. Ubuntu buyafa with these criminals
Nxhese mtase, I can only imagine how frightening that encounter was😮 Askies sisi😟
But we thank God you were not harmed
This is like a bump in the road dear, just put it all behind you and lets go toward the 50K mark.
Remember those documentaries have a lot of background work. Behind the scenes they go and ask for permission from the local Chief. That way you are safe and everyone knows that you are there under authority. Some places experience assassination especially around KZN so people are naturally cautious.
Maybe if u see the Chief first for safety reasons....we r glad u safe
Imagine buying a house on facebook market, no viewing, no lawyer, or village leadership.
Reality of South africa. No peace at all
You have to ask for permission first, somebody else would have hurt you,or called the cops for trespassing.Rather arrange with someone from the place to tour you around.Thank God for your safety.
Sorry to hear about your ordeal. Thankful you were able to de-escalate the situation.
Thank you. 🙏🏾❤️
