This is not just a perfect incarnation of G1 but also an incarnation of WFC Trilogy bumblebee bec . The design of the robot mode resembles the WFC Trilogy animation model minus the kibble
Despite being Transformers everyone very rarely transforms in Siege/Earthrise, because they don't want to animate it any more than necessary. This and the Nemesis Primal bundle that just uses the sports coupe Cliffjumper mold with Bumblebee's head are great for the people that don't care if their G1-esque Bumblebee is specifically a VW or not.
I'm rather jealous, I'm 15 and I'm still struggling to get a job, I can't afford any of these guys yet and only managed to ask my parents for like 7 or so figures.
Thank you for being one of the only transformers figure reviewers that actually starts your videos with figures in robot mode given that's how they come in packaging. Most others start with them in alt mode and only show transformation from alt to robot mode
JUST picked this up today and I really dig it. I can see the Siege DNA on this figure with all the 5mm ports on this figures arms and legs. This has some of the best color matched paint I've seen in ages on a Transformer. Really wish the Sunstreaker figure was as dead on with the color matching as this.
@@TF80s the WFC toyline has some toys that can come apart, like the weaponizers or fosilizers, and they do it via holes and pegs that are 5mm in diameter. Who would you want one. It’s mp bumblebee all over again. A redo of a character that doesn’t need redoing for a different alt mode that no one wants or needs while sacrificing the robot mode entirely all for a most likely overpriced pile of garbage
@@bbnnationoriginal2722 People still want this figure and what's wrong with it? People like this figure and they could bought it. @@topsyturvy2075 it’s absolute garbage. Kibble on ever dimension. Weird lengthy proportions, unwanted accessories that inflate the price and from only a few scenes of the cartoon. It’s vehicle is unwanted and is almost never going to be used. Plus no one asked for it.
Wow. That transformation is excellent. I thought having the fake robot cab/chest was just going to hide as usual, but love how it actually shows in the vehicle.
Didn't expect this guy to be as posable as he is. That and it's really nice to see how Bumblebee's chest actually takes part in the transformation instead of just staying at the bottom of the alt mode. Kinda wish you could maybe pull off the ends on those energon rods so they can fit in the figure's hands, but as it is I think I'll probably display them more with toys that have opening hands like Kingdom Primal or SS'86 Hot Rod.
I've already got the Cybertronian Bumblebee from the WFC video game, and I don't need a new version, but this looks like a really nice mould that I'd love to get if it were retooled/redecoed into another character like Glyph. I'm especially impressed that the chest and feet aren't actually fake, with the feet becoming part of the wings and the chest becoming the nose.
The color is so vibrant. Love it. Finally a Bumblebee in an appropriately lemon-y shade of yellow. Preordered this guy and I can't wait to get my hands on him.
the robot looks really really good, though it has some kibble, but man that transformation is just genius, love that the chest becomes the front of the car too, it's really amazing
Ok so finally got this guy today. Love him. In terms of colour I really don’t know. The earth mode is a little towards the orange but I find the yellow here makes him more toy like. A weird comment I know lol. But a great figure with genius conversion. Also I’m not sure if it’s been touched upon yet but the back pack is also perfectly moulded to suit the earth mode bumblebee which I thought was pretty amazing. Providing you remove the car section. Overall. Very impressed.
Everybody is talking about cybertronian Wheeljack, but what about Soundwave? In the pilot episode, he transformed into a streetlight! I want to see Hasbro come out with that!
They need to take this model and make a repaint for Cliffjumper. Just change the head, repaint it red with a white highlighted Autobot logo, black highlights, and maybe a spoiler in the back like Jazz and Wheeljack’s to make him a bit more distinct from Bumblebee’s saucer car mode.
Despite appearances the alt mode is neither flying saucer or even hovercar - dialogue in More than Meets the Eye clearly suggests it’s a wheeled vehicle (Bumblebee refers to damaging his axle, for example.
Buzzworthy Bumblebee has a new reveal set, a 2-pack with Studio Series 27 clunker Bumblebee and 28 Barricade. -The only bad part about it is, no Frenzy. Also two more 2-packs. Volkswagen Bumblebee vs car Dropkick, and Stinger vs SS 79 high octane Bumblebee.
That’s dope, they also need to make laserbeak, the seeker jets, and wheel jack all Cybertonian forms, laserbeak is rad they should make one the same size as that bumble bee
I can not wait to get my hands on this figure. I really hope we get a Wheeljack to go with him as we could finally recreate the scene of him and bee running from the seekers in episode 1.
Bumblebee masterpiece is the perfect scale for seige line. In the show, bee wasnt much shorter then Wheeljack. Netflix and this Bee are awesome figures, but they do not scale properly with siege line. Sorry I disagree with ya there. All the cubes ya get with the spolier packs and these rods, I place them near Soundblaster. Kinda fits concidering his role in the Netflix series.
I remember seeing gen 1 bumblebee in one of the opening scenes of the classic show, and I’m surprised they actually have the energon rods from that opening scene with wheeljack
So the question is will we see this mold again in different colors? Since they never just use a mold once. I'm hoping for a red one, BUT with this same head mold so we can have the red Bumblebee like the G1 toy. This would be a great way for they to use Glyph make it blue with a more female head mold. A green one for Tap-out. Give us the color mini bots that didn't leave cybertron.
I'd like to see a parts--forming version of this, and some other figures, where they take some bits of kibble and make them basically optional. Arcee basically did this, where you could take the bulk of the back pack off; however, what I would like to see is something like this where you could take that leg kibble off, fold it a certain way, and then store it inside the backpack of the figure. Make it so the whole thing can transform without parts--forming, but then--if you so choose, you could clean up the kibble for an Animation accurate look. This could be something where it might appease both sides of the fan base, those who want animation accuracy, but can't afford something like a masterpiece figure, as well as those who are appalled by a part of the vehicle becoming a shield. Not only that, but it might also alleviate some concern about those bits breaking off at some point by just making them purposefully removable. I realize that this also opens us up to the possibility of losing bits, but I feel as though it is a decent compromise. Kind of like how WFC Bumblebee and Cliff Jumper can use that one add on kit to "fix the parts--forming," you could get that satisfying feeling of witnessing clever engineering, while also being able to clean it up a little for display purposes.
I regretted missing out on Netflix Bumblebee, but this one turned out to be a pretty good alternative. Hopefully we get Cybertronian mode of Wheeljack, eventually.
Great looking toy. Fun transformation, nice engineering and nice accessories, AND you can buy him on his own rather than having to get him with four other figures you might not want.
Great review! My only nit is that they should have put some form of small hidden wheels under that vehicle mode. Even those tiny clipped on barbell style wheels would have at least given him the ability to roll (as rolling things should!) as opposed to just sliding around.
I wonder if we will see similar engineering in a cosmos figure down the line. Since you have a saucer like craft in this mold. Maybe just blow it up to a larger size and get ride of the front part in vehicle mode so you get that disc shape.
I honestly have no idea Hasbro thought it was a good idea to remove the plastic shields on these newer packages as that's just gonna leave the figure exposed to being severely damaged, or even worse; stolen, I really hate these plasticless boxes that many companies for a really long time now (at least here in America) as this give thieves opportunities to steal, or be heavily destroyed, it needs to stop. Regardless, I absolutely love this Bumblebee! :D I just wish that Hasbro, and Takara Tomy designed the Energon Conductor Rods in a way where any of the figures can hold them as well as them being able to store underneath Bumblebee's Vehicle Mode. I also wish that his blaster, and jetpack could stored below since there's pretty much no reason why they can't, the blaster especially, that's just lazy, same with having his head fully visible beneath, they obviously could've hidden it way better. Other than that however, fantastic figure!
Since that Bumblebee/Spike pack was (and still is) easily available, maybe the rest of that Buzzworthy Bumblebee subline (?) will be too. While I don't care much about that four-pack (personally I'd be interested just in getting Fangry, though at this rate it will take 10 more years for Hasbro to release proper Horri-Bull and Squeezeplay), this one is interesting option worth getting for ~deluxe price point. Though personally, the best substitute for Netflix BB is, in my opinion, KBB Hornets Agent, scales perfectly with other WfC figures and (as upscaled knock off of 3rd party figure - DX9 Flipper) is very cheap (there's just one issue inherited from DX9 mould - angled weapon ports in hands).
I think this is FAR cooler than the Netflix Bee. Hopefully we will get an Origin Wheeljack to go with and then we can store those rods in his cargo hold like in the pilot episode.
