    is there a difference between the adaptations you get from an extreme iso lunge hold vs a iso lunge held for like 8-10 seconds with really heavy load?

      Yes. Heavy isos are a max force stimulus, rate coding especially. Extreme iso lunge elicits a capacity based adaption. However you harvest most of those benefits once u can hold a 2 min iso lunge. Going all the way to 5 min is a just a mental thing - how long can u keep your focus without fidgeting?
