Inkbound Review - The Final Verdict

In this age of rogue-like deck builders, turn-based RPGs and dungeon crawlers, it's refreshing to see a developer put a new spin on these elements. Inkbound is from Shiny Shoe and sees players battle against the Blight using different classes known as Aspects.
The combat is turn-based but allows for moving freely on the battlefield, adjusting for the trajectory of enemy attacks. Vestiges provide passive effects, but you can also break them down to aid in set bonuses. If that weren't enough, there's also online multiplayer, which works seamlessly and lends to rethinking your approach to battles.
Inkbound isn't perfect and has minor issues, whether it's the same flow through environments or certain bosses at higher difficulties. However, it's a compelling rogue-like RPG with enough variety and depth to keep you invested.

Feels like a budget Hades. It took some of the good from Hades, but it's almost entirely lacking the greatness that made Hades.
No where near enough abillities, there's like 12 or something. Should be double.

It's a turned based game and you conclude it's a 'budget Hades'. I don't think you need me to explain why that's easily a very narrow minded deduction 😂😂

@@p3drozroom Everything about the game outside of the turn based aspect is very much similar.
If you cant see that then I dunno what to tell you. The art style is even very similar, the interactions between characters. Hell some of the voice actors are even the same.

The game just plays like a worse hades.
