    Thanks for another excellent and clear how- to video. Wish you had a remote location in Illinois. Nothing like your set up anywhere that I can find in all of Northern Illinois including
    Chicago area

      Well I'm glad you found the video helpful and thank you for the kind words. Unfortunately we do not have any other locations other than our store in Lakeland, Florida. I guess you will have to take a vacation to sunny Florida during the winter to escape the cold and snow in Illinois. Come down and see the beaches and pick up a mobility unit while you are down here. Now we do ship all over the country free of charge so if you see something that interest you, feel free to reach out and ask questions at 800-677-6293.

    I have a Q6 Edge. I'm switching out the batteries and would like to keep it long lasting. I wonder if I can use a third party smart charger with a 3-pin XLR connector to better manage charging.

    • @Marcsmobility
      @Marcsmobility  Рік тому

      It may work. I always advise customers to charge their units when it needs to be charged and only charge till it is fully charged and not keeping it on charge overnight or for long intervals at a time. Batteries have memory so you want to drain the battery and charge fully. If you do this, the batteries should last a few years before needing to be replaced. Hope this helps!

    what batteries do I need for a quantum 6 edge 3 chair? charger is flashing red.

    • @Marcsmobility
      @Marcsmobility  2 місяці тому +1

      A flashing red light on a Quantum power chair charger usually indicates a problem with the connection between the charger and the batteries. You would have 55A batteries in that unit and there are 2 batteries.

      We sell batteries for your chair and batteries for that unit we could get it shipped to your door for a total of $350 and all you would have to do is change the batteries just like changing a battery in your car. As for knowing anyone in Colorado, with us being in Florida we don't know anyone in Colorado. Your best bet would be to Google "Mobility store in (your zip code)" and call ones around you to see who you could take it to. Let us know if we can be of any assistance, if we can give us a call at 800-677-6293.

    I have an older Quantum Edge HD. The two side levers to release the cover wont work.So I cant remove it. What can I do to make them move? They're stuck. I tried to use oil to loosen them up but that didnt work. Please,.help

    • @Marcsmobility
      @Marcsmobility  4 місяці тому

      You could use oil and a small hammer to tap on the levers to see if they will move to the unlocked position. There is no way to get to the batteries without removing the cover. If they haven't been unlocked in some time, dirt and stuff can get caught in there making it hard to unlock. Hope this helps!

    Will lithium (LiFePO4) batteries work on these chairs?

    • @Marcsmobility
      @Marcsmobility  Рік тому +1

      It is advised not to use lithium batteries on these chairs that come with sealed lead acid batteries. They are programmed to those and not lithium and could not show correct amount of battery left as well as possibly not work with the electronics on the chair. Hope this helps.

      @@MarcsmobilityHi, I have a Quantum Edge Z with tilt and iLevel… I did intend to ask about lithium batteries but seeing as you’ve a answered that question, I was wondering if there were any much longer lasting batteries (the Z has 75 Ah batteries) I could replace my current batteries with? Maybe higher Ah or even another type that would work? If not, do you know if there are any technologies on the way, which would give us enough juice to travel around a large city all day (I’m in Toronto), change seating position and not think twice about how much charge there is in the chair? I remember my first power chair in about 1992… it didn’t have any bells and whistles but it would go crazy distances without losing much charge at all. My next was an InvaCare Storm and it looked better than the previous generation but got great battery life, as well. I’ve found the last couple to be great chairs but we’re asking them to tilt, raise, have Bluetooth, lift our legs etc…, but it’s like the manufacturers aren’t keeping up to date on alternative options for batteries. What do you think?

    • @Marcsmobility
      @Marcsmobility  4 місяці тому

      The best bet would be for you to get some MK gel batteries in 75A for the unit.

    How do you know if it’s charging?

    • @Marcsmobility
      @Marcsmobility  2 місяці тому

      The light on the charger will blink and turn solid green once fully charger. You can also remove the charger from the chair and turn on the power to see what the battery level indicator reads and know that its fully charged or you have some time left on a charge.

      When was the last time the unit was charged? Also how long has it been since the batteries in the unit have been replaced? Batteries only usually last anywhere between 2-4 years so they may have been used where they are no longer able to take a charge.

      Depending on how long the batteries have been dead for, you may need new batteries. How long have they been without a charge?
