Great review. I personally didn't like this board (Neckbeard 3) but I am wondering if the one I tested was too short/small. I liked the NB2 but the NB3 has not proven itself. So odd because I thought it would be easier like you mentioned. But I found it harder in the conditions that I often surf. Anyways, I'm waiting for a bigger better to give it a fair chance.
@@TheSurfboardGuide I agree. I have all 3. I just surfed it for 1st yesterday. It was insane. Now I need a step down from that for flat 1 foot waves. Any suggestions?
Hi there, great review. I have the NB2, would you recommend to take the same dimension from NB2 ? I love NB2 for smaller waves, but when it is over 4 foot it simply does not work, so I wasnt to use NB3 for from 3 to 6 foot waves. thanks
Great review mate! Quick one, Neckbeard 3 or Rusty's "The Keg" for 3-5ft Manly or Curl when they are chop and too steep? which one has less rocker? - any big difference apart of the tail between the two of them?
They're very different as one is a shortboard, and one is a step-down. Both would be great for the waves you mention, but you got to ask what kind of board are you after?
Hey mate love the reviews, I know it’s an older vid but I got myself a Fishbeard & it’s such a fun board. I want a CI thruster now that has a similar feel to it, stuck on NB2 or NB3, NB2 looks great for beachies and practicing airs but the NB3 looks closer to a daily driver and maybe not as poppy and loose? Otherwise I’d scratch it all and get a Happy Everyday.
@@TheSurfboardGuide haha I ended up getting a spine-tek Happy Everyday. I can’t compare it to the NB3 as I haven’t had the chance to ride one, but so far really loving the HE, zero buyers remorse! Rips in shoulder/waste high, be interested to see where the limit of it is.
How‘d you compare this to a Lost Quiver Killer? Not asking whether one is better than the other, just in terms of similarities and differences. With the round tail they both look really quite alike, and most of what you’re saying about the NB3 is probably true for the Quiver Killer as well. Cheers!

I didn't know what I'd think as I love that chopped square tail... But yeah, this was super versatile and user friendly!
Got one in Spinetek with AM fins, love it!
AM's are always dependable!
Thanks for the review. Should I get the NB3 in the same dims as my Fishbeard (6'0 which feels very good), or NB2 (5'11 which feels a bit corky)
"Dane could market anything and I would be keen to buy it."- Literally anyone from Stab
Except the rubbish stick Dane took to stab 100 Mexico
I'm happy you found the humour in that! Haha!
@@rolypoly2107 He definitely persisted with it though! Haha!
If I bought his socks I’m sure I’d shred.
Been hanging out for a proper NB3 review. Thanks!
Hope it was helpful!
what grovels better RW, NB 3 or OG Flyer in your opinion?
I didn’t feel the RW groveled well, and the OG is ok for a shortboard - so I’m gonna go with the NB3 from those options.

Hey! Yes, you could ride it the same!
But as it becomes a bit more maneuverable with the round tail, you could go bigger/longer if you wanted!

Go the NB3 if you haven’t already! ✌️

@@TheSurfboardGuide and I’ve already broken it hahaha. Whoops 😂
Is this handling better than a OG Flyer at Bali? What about 6ft?
I think the OG would be better with the longer rail line
Nice review mate, hope you’ve ordered yourself a Bobby quad
I did- it's in the pipeline!
Hey mate. Great review. Do you like the board more than the js black box 3
It’s been a while since I rode the BB3, but I’d say yes!

Never rode a Quiver Killer, but also hadn't heard positive things...
Great Review!!!
Would I be able to ride it as twin+1 as well?
Thanks!
Definitely if you enjoy that - it will loosen it up a lot, but could be quite fun!
mate please review of the Morning of The Earth - the boards that Torren rides. cheers!
I’d love to - but it’s really difficult to get hold of them. 12 month waits for customs etc.
Let’s see what I can do…
@@TheSurfboardGuide 12months?wow
@@JiahaoLin yes, I’ve heard of some people waiting even longer!
Is Dane riding the NB3?
Dunno - i don't think i've seen him on it...
How does the NB3 compare to the JS Bullseye?
Very similar boards in how they surf and their wave range. What are you looking for?
