John always made it look too damn easy on stage. Just imagine doing all the things he did, amd did pretty damn flawlessly. I true one of a kind, and music genius. I miss him so, he's right there with all the greats in his music-productions and writing, singing, playing; you name it.
Thank you John for all the great music you left too soon but your music will live forever. Have all your records and the music sure takes me back too easier times......R.I.P. John....🎸
I only heard the sad news earlier tonight, and it saddened me greatly! John, you will always be in our hearts, and we will never forget you. Thank you so much for sharing your God~given talent with us!! May you journey onward in peace, my friend. RIP... \m/
So much talent on this stage and music of this magnitude is probably gone for good.Thank God we have videos of this quality to remember and enjoy.I have no idea who thse guys are backing John but they're killing it.They are just fucking incredible. What a band.
Oh I didn't know John passed. As a teenager in a garage band the three records from the Red era with K.C. were quite mind blowing. Seeing John perform with K.C. on the Starless tour, and on both UK tours and the first Asia tour was truly epic. Whew sad, another of my heros is gone. Thanks for the music and many "mind blown" moments John, r.i.p.
Another icon from my prog rock formative years passes.. From KC to UK to stuff with PG, Roxy/PhilM, etc.. even that Asia stuff.. going to miss this guy
Sorry friend ! Accoustic six strings guitar ! Even if he was a bass guitar this amazing artist-musician could play different instruments ! He will sadly be missed ! R.I.P. Mr John Wetton :(
You're right Barry ! What i mean is that we can clearly see on the first song of this amazing video : Book of saturday , he's playing the acoustic guitar and not the bass guitar ! Cheers ! :)
Me too. I saw some recent photos and am totally shocked and praying for complete recovery. Cancer and then sepsis. He and KC are one of my all time favorites. Already lost Bowie, Emerson and Lake, can't deal with another one.
I know. I will be playing a lot of King Crimson and UK for the next few days. So sad. I feel bad for his new wife too. I'm sure it was expected but still such a shock.
thank gawd I got to see this guy with U.K. during the Jethro Tull tour..un..fucking..believable..instant love..did not know who they were and didn't care..tull had to pull out all the stops to beat them that night..they did..just barely..rip sir..u were an amazing musician and I thank you
Excelente músico John Wetton, lamentablemente falleció y nos deja un vacío a aquellos que amamos la música de Kin Crimson, banda a la que perteneció en algún momento de su vida artística. Grande Jhon Wetton.
John was always a very nice guy in person as well. I met him the first time during UK and he was actually a very laid-back and humble sort who's career came from playing bass lines for his brother, hence his singing with bass - so a comparison has been drawn between him and Greg Lake for many years. Ironic as hell that they both died from the same illness within mere months of each other. 2 of the greats gone so soon - RIP
Great show from John, as always. Evidently the other guys never listened to KC; no space, no dynamics, just a train wreck. Like 90's numetal trying to play jazz.....
Te amo mucho mi cielo eternamente estarás en mi corazón te quiero mucho de verdad gracias x toda la música del alma q me diste te amooo más aĺla de mi vida
His voice, his bass notes, his entire music, he was one of those that transported you to a place where one could feel each note with the entire heart... Adios John...
In my dreams I can see and hear some kings reunite at a Prince's Trust venue. The singing king will then be Mark King, bassman of Level 42 doing Easy Money and Starless.
John always made it look too damn easy on stage. Just imagine doing all the things he did, amd did pretty damn flawlessly. I true one of a kind, and music genius. I miss him so, he's right there with all the greats in his music-productions and writing, singing, playing; you name it.
Bravo John Wetton. Gone too soon. Rest in peace.

He was a bass player who played with a pick from Asia on. He was a finger-picking bassist prior to that with King Crimson et al.
You're right Barry ! What i mean is that we can clearly see on the first song of this amazing video : Book of saturday , he's playing the acoustic guitar and not the bass guitar ! Cheers ! :)
