- Dryw and I decided to go out for a day trip and see if the catfish were biting. It's still early February and the fish are fairly inactive, but we took a variety of baits to see if we could entice them into biting.

You do not give yourself enough credit amigo. Catfishing is the way to go, but your passion for doing it is what makes this video take off. A little laughter now and then really helps out when mr. Carfish has a sore mouth and you feel like you are roasting in a convection oven. Continued success!
Great watching all the cat fishing videos, I'm from Tampa Florida, and I have a bait that I have never seen anyone else ever use. You might want to try it sometime, buy some stew beef and soak it in garlic and let it set overnight before you go in the fridge, works well down south. Thanks a lot.
I know how you feel about losing a great spot. Someone found one of my spots a couple weeks ago and trashed it. Cleaned up the trash but haven't been back since. Kinda makes your heart hurt... Great Vid!

I know this is old but.. I totally feel you on people just being nasty. I literally just got done rigging up my ultra heavy rod and reel. My son "7" and I are going fishing at our favorite fishing spot tomorrow. We always bring gloves and trash bags to clean it up. Now I'm going to try to remove as much snag lines in the water. I'm hoping my 150 pound line can snag and break all their line. We fish under a bridge it's a very popular spot. Just trying to clean it up so everyone can enjoy it. 👍 subbed

The best I've used is what a very old man taught me years ago is the chum bait mix it with wheaties or corn flakes put some garlic ,and flour, baking powder keep mixing until you can make a dough ball and then see what happens, I know for thirty years I'm known for my dough ball around Kentucky and the fish I've caught is in the thousands...
I can't wait for the spring time when the catfish are active again where I'm at!!

i feel yeah i have a creek like 5 min away i had a branch that you could lay on and fish some one came and threw it into the water. it was a huge branch u covered with palm leaves very upseting
With the chicken liver chum bait, instead of using chicken, you should try shrimp

the bees are drawn to smoke for some reason....i deal with them nearly daily and have found that if im smoking they swarm me more than while im not smoking

How do you make the chum bait?
I do alot of channel catfishing and my main bait I use is fresh chicken liver and fresh shrimp, I do peal the shell off of it. I really good luck with those baits. My rods are 7 ft. Med heavy ugly stick and a 8 ft. Med heavy ugly stick.

hey Kris when you use stink Bait is it true you need to redo or check every 10 min just in case the little channel cats sucking most off the hook that are to small to move the Bait.

I have used places of cigarette butt and caught blue gill, I have seen people use slim Jim's and caught catfish.
Are your small channel cats always so light colored? That first one almost looked albino.
Phil.Paula Stocks The muddier (murkier) the water, the lighter the colors of the fish in the water body. we catch beautiful dark bass in my pond, but in the bayou near my house they are all very light in color, almost white.
