    HEY! Thank you so much for the great review and nice words!
    We are definitely a band! Touring starts early 2024 and we can not wait to hit the road.
    There are planned two more single releases before the album drops 17th of November.
    Hope you have a great day, and thank you again!

    Loved the synth intro, thought the initial instrumental follow through behind the intro was tepid, then loved it again! This was like a blend of Electronic, Synth-Pop/New Wave sensibilities (that I'm very much a fan of) with Prog Metal instrumentation that was interesting and worked REALLY well - the voice was pitch-perfect for the spirited mix, as well. Loved it! I'm gonna have to look more into them. :)

    Maraton are a Norwegian band who has been a opening act on a Leprous tour. Their debut album "META" was released in 2019. They released their second album "Unseen Color" in 2022.

    Definitely hearing VOLA, Leprous and Haken in this. Looking forward to hearing the full album in November.

      It's hard not to sound like Haken, because Diego played keys on every Haken album except their latest album. It's strange that he advertises himself as involved with Devin, but he was only a part of the early Empath album tour with Townsend. He was in the Mike Portnoy side project Shattered Fortress with the guitarist of Temic/Neal Morse as well. I'm getting major Caligula's Horse vibes!

    Jazzy, funky, full of surprises. Vocals surely fit in the tone of music. Love it. May I introduce you to- and suggest a Dutch band called Nephylim? They're fairly new, but have got a very decent sound. Dust Veiled Sky is a proper song. I hope you are willing to give these guys a chance. Cheers.

    Ohh, that was nice! Definitely got a Leprous vibe from his voice and also, as already mentioned here, both VOLA and Haken came to mind. Looking forward to their next release! Another new prog band to check out, that I recently learned about, is Oblivion Protocol. Another group made up of members from other bands - Threshold, Within Temptaion, Darkwater and Devin Townsend.

    Sounds like a mix of Haken, Vola, Tesseract and perhaps also Leprous. Good or bad? I feel like listen to the mentioned band instead. Sorry Temic 🙃

    I don't believe in the concept of progressive music, but I know what people mean when they say it. What was prog about that? I found it to be slightly above average modern metal.

      I'm not sure if you really wanted an answer for your question or were just looking to be dismissive with it, but just in case: it's the conceptual/experimental element of it. The experimental aspect in this case is subtle in the non-Metal sensibilities being applied in what's a somewhat concept driven Metal piece - no ambitiously ornate or classical compositional aspects to it at all, but Prog. Rock or Prog. Metal which is just Metal mixed with Prog. Rock's musical philosophy doesn't always necessarily have to include all of the above. I'll grant you though, that if I were to introduce someone to the concept of Prog. Metal, this song would not be one of my choices to start of with. And to be fair, some Metal fans will just lump a band with Keys/Synths into the category just based on that lol.

      @@StarryStarryNocturne I did really want an answer. Thank you. However, I still don't see anything experimental or conceptual about it. Perhaps I'm too dense to see it.

      Just wait for the album, we promise you some disco beats and Nintendo-sounding breakdowns, as well as a ballad in 15/8. It can be pretty hard to define a band's sound in only one song!

      @killermonjero Рік тому +1

      @@TEMICBAND Okay, boys. Disco beats and Nintendo breakdowns don't sound appealing to me, but since you were kind enough to respond and not call me a moron, I'll give you a real chance. I promise.

      @@killermonjero Was just trying to explain the range of diversity there is on the album, haha! We can not win them all, but hopefully there will be something on there that you will find appealing! Its almost 1 hour long!!
