- What are the new rules of property declaration for overseas Pakistanis?
And why should overseas Pakistani be pushed into registering as tax payers, when they are non-residents?
Why do overseas Pakistani have to pay extra taxes as non-filers, When we do file our taxes in our country of residence?
Why have foreign currency accounts been blocked?
How do you bring the money to Pakistan? Is there an approved Bori?
I have faced 3 issues:
1. I have been asked to register as a filer
2. I have had to pay extra tax to register the property because I am considered non-filer in Pakistan.
3. My foreign currency account in Pakistan is closed, how do I bring the money?
My suggestion is to send this video to MR. Zulfi Bukhari. He is Advisor to PM for Overseas Pakistani. He must know how we feel and what problem we are facing.

Very true bro, why these rules for overseas Pakistanis. They are assets, income generators for Pakistan. They should not be penalised with unrealistic red tapes or ruling. Pakistani Govt please think through, have some thought process 🤦🏻♀️

Australian dollar account in standard chartered bank and Askari Bank should be available. To keep money in Pakistan, incentive is needed.
All Major Foreign Currency Accounts, that you should be able to open from within your country and keep money in it.

this is the best legal and the most secure advise, for god sake try toapply for us helpless living abroad, i request zulfi bokhari please you can feel our problem advise to the relevent authority. i have allready tweet some time.

The issue will selling property is that property market and prices are slow there, and exchange rate is £1:200 Rs. So it's huge loss to make.

Right. We also suffered a lot. We found our sims are blocked, our accounts have been blocked and there is no one window facilitation center where we can get help from. It is better to stop all future investments in pakistan

As long as you can transfer funds from a bank abroad to your bank in PK, and then pay for the plot from you PK account, that shall be fine.
Problems, you shall face is transferring money into your PK account as it shall only be in PaK Rs. and may or may not accept money in Foreign currency.
After that, you will be charged extra fees, as you shall be considered non-filers in Pakistan.

I have many fiends from India and Philippines, their countries always facilitate their Overseas in terms of investment rules and policies. But in Pakistan, the system is so weird that the ruined even what the least possible FDI.

I am a non-resident pakistani living in sweden, i am filer since 2016 , i dont see any problem because i don't need to give any details including wealth while submitting tax return. I am transferring money to my pakistani account whenever i want using transferwise app in minutes with best rates. Also i can claim withholding tax that is due by govt of Pakistan to pay me when i spent my money in certain areas. Actually its win win situation. I understand Pak will not go as Eurpean do, so adopt pakistani way of handling stuff.

then submit return every year, for overseas pakistani its very easy take 5 minutes to submit return as overseas are exempted from giving wealth/expenses details.
Government should take consultancy to understand reality. There should be profit on foreign currency account. It will encourage people to send money through bank.
Mr. Zulfi is enjoying his status and visits to abroad. Do you think he has time left to do something for overseas. This govt. is worst for overseas and doing nothing. We have to take care of ourselves. Better not to invest here and enjoy life in abroad

So does the website mention why my GBP account in PK has been blocked? Disseminating the new law is also the responsibility of the govt. So far there is no clarification on why my GBP account was blocked, and there is no way for me to transfer funds to Pakistan keeping them in pound sterling.
You are probably not interested in the difficulty I am facing but just in silencing my voice. Which of course, isn't very welcome.

How can we be so assured that some government officials be sitting on UA-cam and watching all the videos and be trying to resolve issues. Be responsible and let some authorities know through proper Channels.

NRPs facing nightmare due to arrogant FBR requirment of PRC, i,e a certificate from bank in pakistan. There are many other legal channels in pakistan where we take money to Pakistan but tgey dont accept. Beside they imposed asset declaration on NRPs. Several thousand NRPs somehow managed to buy house/plot for the last days of their retirement but they imposed tax in this ordinance without giving any consideration towards ground realities. They are ready to impose heavy penalties if you can not provide PRC. This is a big headach. Why other legal channels i:e taking cash alongwith or sending by hand, or changing with money changer , are allowed by Givt if those are not acceptable by FBR. In order to avoid black mailing I had declared all my assets and payed taxes. In other words I accepted that my hard work earning over the years overseas was black money.
Who provide DC rates for property purchse. Infos on asset declaration was incomplete.time was not enough. It turned out yo a horrible experience. Still tax on my domestic FC account in unpaid. My FC account was blocked. NBP did not take cheaques. HBL doesnt know how to pay tax in usd to NBP. Incompetant authourities gave headach to NRPs.

U should transfer money via bank to Pakistan as a non resident and deposit it in savings and then become resident of Pakistan
We agree with him. The rules are too tedious and we cannot understand them sitting over seas. We don't want to deal with govt functionaries. We should be able to transfer foreign currency to and from Pakistan.

I saw your video yesterday and since then i am shocked by your insulting attitude. The language you used was bit abusive while you know that most of the NRPs in EU are living a sub standard life. British pound is not an international currency that could be reason to stop your bank account. Foreign currency(U.S. dollar) is still allowed.
