  • Check out our video review of JJ Racaza's High-Speed Marksmanship class!
    His class was amazing and a "must attend" for advanced pistol shooters.
    If you don't know who JJ is, he is a highly sought after trainer, world-class competition shooter, and a former federal agent.
    We highly recommend taking one of his classes if you have the chance!

    Thank you for your review...! And an intro to your channel.
    I took JJ's class in 2017, yes, when I was a Novice/Intermediate shooter - and you were right, I think I would have needed more 'experience' and 'insights' under my belt before I really could see the 'light bulbs' in my head. Well, having GM and M shooters in the class didn't quite help, either...
    Then again, thank you for the review as it was a good 'refresher' for me... A reminder for me to again take JJ's class!

    I don't remember the last time I saw a how to shoot video that I really thought was great. There have been a few that where very good. Some focus on speed. Usually at the cost of fundamentals. Others focus on fundamentals. With out doing a proper job of helping people figure out how to pull them all together properly while training. To properly help someone shoot fast and accurate in potential sustained life or death environment. This maybe the first speed shooting (pistol) oriented course I could confidently recommend to people who may regularly need to take much longer range shots. (Usually with a rifle) That would give them a great core foundation all around. I could probably write a 5-10 page report on how impressed I am with what I'm seeing of JJs course. Compared to nearly all others.
    This video does a great job of covering a huge number if different components that are taught over the course. While not giving away key pieces of information. Letting JJ still make money off of his course.

      Learning is about the journey. I tried to go back and watch videos of JJ that where 3-6 years old. It was tough. He has made huge strides in his development. In the past few years. Especially in putting various individual bits of knowledge, together as a much more cohesive whole. Good luck on your journey!

    This is all good to know and if you have the time and can afford it, go for it. I would like to say ,though, that if you are a target of the FBI, the CIA, a cartel,the mob, or even random gang it is most likely that you will be attacked late at night or in the early morning when you are tired and worn out. You might even be hit by an electronic weapon first, to disorient you. Electronic weapons are used quite a bit. One of the most frequent ways to take a guy out is
    to simply walk up to you in the dark and ask for the time or a light. You look down, then when you look up you are facing the barrel of a gun and the guy pulls the trigger. Another highly popular way is at a stop sign or red light you pull up too close to the vehicle in front. They pull up right on your tail. You are locked in. A third vehicle pulls up along side you and a guy inside shoots you in the head. Think about how to survive this. They tried to get me using this techinque many times. It is survivable. Hint: late at night don't pull up close to the vehicle in front. The snatch is used quite a bit. Make up your mind now that you are not going to let assailants take you anywhere. Die on the spot. They are just going to take you somewhere else to kill you. Probably torture you first. A fourth way they use to take you out is to hit the rear of your vehicle and send your vehicle spinning out of control. If you survive this you will definitely need your semi auto. As they will make a number of attempts in a row. Throw some lead their way. That will make them back off. Note, don't use the sights. Just point and shoot. You only have milliseconds.

    At 6:28 JJ is standing in a totally different posture than most of his students. His head is up and his spine is straight, whereas many students have their head tucked into their shoulders and forward. He's known as a fast/efficient mover moreso than best shot in the IPSC world. It's clear at that moment that his stance is more about seeing and moving than a fixation on the gun, sight, and target.

    • @TacticalHyve
      @TacticalHyve  2 роки тому

      Stance can change depending on what one is doing. At that moment, he was relaxed as he was demonstrating a topic that doesn’t require one to have a more aggressive stance.

    Catch up with whats in my head? I'm confused If I had the thought I needed to do something and had not yet, might cost me my life. Fast accurate shooting is a result of consistent practice with measurable improvements ie faster rather than slower with emphasis on getting hits. Thinking about trigger reset is maybe ok on a range but should be subconscious in real world application. New information will continue to be added for the shooting community, which is always welcome. However there are things that can be taught that are hard to unlearn if practiced enough.
