Yeah I got mine up to like 489% melee so far. They're way tankier than I thought they would be, I can easily take out basically any alpha I see with it.
You didn’t mention the lifesteal or the fact it can eat 40 blood packs at a time to instantly heal itself. It’s also radiation proof. This thing is downright op
Didn't know it was rad proof... the blood pack auto heal helps make high lvl alpha rex kills easy. I remember the days you needed a full tribe to wipe one, now you can do it on a tame thats ridiculously simple, if you clear the lower bats around it first.

Magmasaur spawns on Fjordur and it completely makes you immune to freezing, the exo-mek also protects at 100% from any kind of environmental damger(freezing overseer radiation ecc)
I was surprised at how easy andrewsarchus are to tame, I had a 145 andrew on day one. The fact that you not only find honey on the ground, but you find it in the exact same places you find andrewsarchus is really funny
@@Jxck15 you need to make fish baskets, (its an aberration engram) and Trap fish inside of them, (bigger fish are better and will tame it faster), then when you have enough trapped fish, (you Can check the dododex app to Know how many you'll need for whatever level you wanna tame), you'll then need to Wear full ghilie armor, find a shadowmane, IT HAS TO BE IN DAYTIME, wait for it to sleep, then while crouching go up to it with a fish basket in the last slot of your hotbar, then press e (or whatever button you have to interact) to Feed it the fish basket. It will then get up and turn invisible, you might want to move away a little bit WHILE CROUCHING, to not scare it. You Can also pull up the taming tracker (from you inventory menu) and track it to Know where it is at all times. Put another fish basket in your last slot, Wait for it to turn visible, let it sleep again and repeat the same things until its tamed. You Can also make a trap for that i reacommend watching videos on it. Also for the fish basket engram, you can't unlock it IN fjordur, you either need to go to the abberation map if you bought it, or you Can transfer your character to Lost island Map, and learn the engram there since Lost island had all the engrams, then transfer back to fjordur, make the fish baskets, and do what you have to do. Helpful tip, when raiding the Rock Drakes of their pretty eggs in your battle hardened Andrewsarchus, don't forget about the little hawk ridding on your shoulder. It can only take so many trips outside of that armored saddle before scrumming to the hazardous wasteland. RIP little guy, you saved my belongings more times than I can count. However, the 216 egg I got. worth it.
To gather berries i just use a bronto. I have a smelt oven on top of it so when i pass metal field, i do that on the way. I have a bed on there as well. And i have a bat and a wyvern to fly around. Those 3 dinos do 90% of my stuff. On the bronto with platform you can build ANYTHING. Generator, fabrikator, smithy, cookers etc etc
I would also like to add, from personal experience on this map, Daeodon. Yeah, it eats food like a Hummer drinks gas which does get annoying at times, but because of the deaodon specifically, I have enough of those Alpha runestones to summon the mini bosses for days lol other than that, yeah, basically perfect list. Dodo I dont count because its a necessity for all maps, not just this one lol
First thing I'm taming when me and my friends start a tribe on Fjordur are a number of Andrewsachus. And I'm naming them each after a tank class (Stuart, Sherman, Lee, Churchill, Matilda, Tiger, Abrams, ect). I love me boom boom stuff.
Btw, if you do another starter tame video you should really put the andrew in number one and after it the moschops.the andrew is the best starter tame in the game especially in fjordur where you can get the honey easily in a safer spot than the redwoods. I love fast creatures and Mr and Mrs andrew are fast, they also it seems like they have higher base health than the spino (but surely the spino deals much more damage). Even without his mini-gun saddle he's still number 1 or maximum number 2 best starter tame.
The desmodus is just insanely good for pvp. They’re maybe a bit broken but it’s just so fun to pvp with you’ve a insane pick radius and it does a lot of damage it’s probably stronger than a griffin. Me and my tribe took over puzzle/labyrinth cave on smallsand we’re alpha of the whole server it’s the new contester of north ice cave. Fjordur is probably my fav map it’s just almost perfect except that there’re shadowmanes on the map but not everything is perfect.
The Desmodus deserves to be first, such a great creature, not to mention how good looking and useful the saddle is, so good it could be in a top 10 saddles video
Desmodus is hands down my fave mount. Awesome in battle and I've tamed an Allo & Quetz while shooting mounted... + that 30% tame boost. Mine was a lvl140 with a tame loss because I didn't let it feed on dino's to 100% tame it, but I've got it to 10k HP and 800 dmg... takes out lvl150 Alpha Rex's now with ease. Ohh and I got a mastercraft saddle bp last night in a red drop, which I haven't made yet... think it gives a 68% armour increase.
the raasmodus clarkulae is even better to get one all you need to do it breed 2 high desmodus and name the baby raasmodus Clarkulae and you've got a very good bat (that's if you can breed them... probably can)
This video is helpful because my brother and I are doing a challenge where we can get 4 land Dinos 2 sea Dinos and 2 flyers aswell as 1 shoulder pet, we've cheated a couple times so far because of him, but at least when he cheats I usually get something out of him
I COMPLETELY agree with your top, personally I would have put in the creatures that didn't make the top, the Ferox, cause while you probably will have to kill some mini bosses..., It sure is worth it for the Hulk gremlim Edit: It kinda is because Ferox is such a beast at PVP
You dont actually have to kill creatures on foot to tame the fjordhawk, you just need to be on food when it eats the corpse. Kill with your dino, and hop off when it flys in.
I love the new Fjourd map, it is so huge and has so many cool creatures. However I am a bit sad that some features on the new dinos don't work on ps5 😕 Loved the video 😋👍🏻
Since I have difficulty 50+ mod.. taming a level 1500 shadowmane is no joke.. I spent like overnight taming 2, one level 1500(male) and 1400(female) and I only got to sleep at 2 AM.. I should probably up my taming speed..

Its kind of an amalgamation of the dlc content... a few absent creatures but think all the biome's are covered. tbh I haven't had as much fun on ark since Ragnarok was released, and this arguably is superior... so your good to start here.

How do you learn the extinction, aberration, etc... saddles. For instance the snwo owl saddle. I don't own the dlcs so it's great for me if I can get it for free. BTW I'm on ps4.
Desmodus is also surprisingly strong. I don't recall how many points in melee it had, but a friend tamed a lvl 150ish [after the tame] and it was doing twice as much damage as my similarly leveled bred and fully imprinted Argy.
My list is(not in order) Maewing ,shadowmane(possibly for bosses...),R-gigas possibly for the lowest tier of bosses, fjordhawk, griffin and wyverns (wich I got both), theris for caves and possibly all the bosses and harvesting.(I can also bring my super mutated theris it took me about 2 months to get them to max mutations 254 in health and damage, its crazy how one of them is stronger than the titanosaur (with sp settings off) but it took me many weeks (I have fast breeding and dino storage) Honourable mentions for the list : thyla, rockdrake, the andrew ,the desmodus,the magmasaur and the otter I actually didn't like one thing about this map, that thing would have made it perfect. A water boss like moeder, not having a water boss or artifacts in atleast 2 or 3 water cave, just make exploring the depths or taming any sea creature useless. I really hope they make one As for the smaller bosses if they made 1 flying boss, 1 ground boss, 1 water boss. Each one require completly different type of army/creatures. Will make so that people enjoy,explore,tame more,mutate more and will make people play fjordur for longer till ark 2 releases. Instead of just what will most people do wich is fighting all the 7 bosse with the same rex army over and over again
Just found out you probably shouldnt cancel gen 2 missions with certain mods the hard way so Im not even use mod creatures for those as like a precaution for a potential crash and lose all my shit again🙃.
i definitely didnt expect the desmodus to be that good, i tamed it up and it was a pleasant surprise. only thing i wish was added was a bleed effect

When using elixer it also takes taming efectivnes up back to 100 so use the elixer at the end of your tame

There’s a setting for it, so you may have clicked it by accident. Also, you CAN knockout with some creatures but it’s normally not too effective.
