I like to PvP, and PvE. Usually wearing an Exo Suit nowadays. Unlocking it is easy with no cheats needed anymore, and usually on a server, official or unofficial, I'm not fussed. Single Player is great though, certainly with a guide for any platform be it xbox, ps4, ps5, pc, it's great. Sometimes play MTS, and usually post patch/update. But a survival game needs some community news and that's what I do, giving you the latest on events, small tribes, maybe even fast flyers and primitive plus, usually covering all maps from Island to Genesis Part 2. And one day. ARK 2!

WOAH! This is my first vid to reach 1M views! That's insane 😳
Thank you so much for your support everyone. This is an incredible achievement for me. Much love to you all 💪
This might be the best vid alive on ur channel rn
This was an awsome vid! Thanks for making it!
the titanosaur isn't meant for soaking due to the 1 armour saddle. we only ever used them when we were wiping a whole server to destroy the structures as taming one is way quicker and cheaper than grinding out enough c4 to foundation wipe multiple bases. this of couse was back before artho's could eat structure and before mech's. they probably don't get used alot these days i would imagine.
Congratulations on the 1mil views
Reaper tip: Rock drakes are a much simpler raise-only, just get a drake and you won't need a trap!
Honestly, the fact that the little, seemingly near-harmless Troodon eats Gigas as taming food is ridiculous.
Ah yes near-harmless.

@@andrejhofer2007 yeah, it was a fun thing to do with my friends, also I set the ini on our server so we can use soul orbs from dino storage in boss arenas, so we could throw out big creatures we’d worked hard to breed in the boss arenas, which meant we could use the titano as well for a bit of fun!

@@Proterax me too I miss dilos and compys being my biggest threat
I can see why the Megachelon is where it's at on this list:
When the Microbe Swarm makes it to the turtle and the taming process begins, just ONE hit from any hostile source will cancel the whole process altogether, and you will have to do it all over again.
When I tried it, not only did the microbe swarms keep losing interest, they stopped aggroing onto me altogether at some point. I tried spawning 10 on top of a Mega and that did nothing (They just scattered to the four winds[waves?]). So in the end, I just dotamed it. And then I went back to using my Plesio for underwater mobile base functions simply because they didn't take 2 years to get going.
I spent about 6 hours straight taming a 150. Not because it naturally takes that long, but because it kept getting fucking hit over and over again.
During one cycle I actually made it to 99% and then a shark bit it while I was in my inventory. It came out of nowhere, bypassed the other guy guarding as well, and reset us when it was seconds away from finally being over.
One of my most depressing moments in the game honestly. Though, in the end we got the turtle, and it quickly became my favorite creature. I used it for the rest of Genesis 1, and I built an entire floating base designed to house the turtle.

They pitched it as a very intelligent dino that would have some complicated manner of taming, the kind of dino that would lurk at the edge of the light of your campfire and watch you for any sign of weakness. But then they realized they don’t know how to code something like that.
Troodon isn't a hard tame though.
It's just tedious one.

I tamed every titan, but I have never gotten past 70% on a fricken hyena. And now that I know how to tame one, I'm not going to since I don't care about taming every single creature anymore.
i feel like the spawns for hyenadons are also pretty bad. it isnt worth it to go up a direwolf and giga-filled mountain to tame a little dog that can carry around meat and preserve it for like a few more minutes .
@@gaming_with_ashton True, for the effort it takes, the hyena is really bad. On those same mountains, you could tame the superior direwolf. It lacks a saddle but is superior in combat regardless.
@@LeoTheYuty and even better, hyenadon doesnt have a saddle, so really dire wolf is the big brother hyena

With number 4# you must defend the turtle because it will attract aggressive and even neutral aquatic life to attack it and the swarm. The swarm has its own health so it can die from the attracted aquatic life which will stop to taming process. The taming process will automatically spawn sabertooth salmon every 5 seconds up to 5 meters away and will target the swarm directly. Meaning a long and annoying taming process. It is not recommended to put in a trap because the Sabertooth will spawn inside and still ruin the taming. It is recommended to start the taming process and unload the area immediately which will make the nearby aquatic life go in to a stasis while the tame safety tames itself.
Surprised to see the giga didn't at least get an honorable mention, when you get down to it it isn't particularly hard, but it's no question one of the most difficult creatures in ark just to put to sleep. It's torpor drains so fast that if anything goes wrong it can be catastrophic, my first time taming one I brought 100 extra tranq arrows and like 26 left over tranq darts in case things went bad, I got attacked by argentavis twice and just the couple of seconds it took me to deal with them made it lose so much torpor I almost ran out of backup tranqs
I tamed my first giga relatively recently, around 2 months ago, on the slopes of Far's peak on the island. It was ez to knock out once it was in the trap due to my apprentice Longneck with shocking tranqs, but its torpidity drained super fast. Luckily I had base super close so I went back to grab all my biotoxin and a theri in a cryopod for narcoberries.
Not to mention it's relatively expensive to trap compared to other creatures, metal gateways and a bear trap, and it does a lot of damage, the giga was a relatively low level but it got my argy to 1/3 hp. So yeah I'd definitely recommend it for at least an honorable mention
@@andrejhofer2007 It's not as expensive to trap in the grand scheme, it's usually even quicker to trap because you can make metal structures in a smithy at least. Also, you don't need metal gates, billboards are way cheaper and do the trick.
@@slenderman4788 i didn't know about billboards thanks I'll try it out
@@andrejhofer2007 Bit of a necropost but last time I tamed a Giga I just trapped it in a stone 3x3 lol, it's not really a re-usable trap but if you've got a decent Longneck rifle it'll usually be down before the stone breaks.
Especially if it was before kibble and reduced taming time update. Nothing harder than handfeeding a Giga for 12 hours, lol. Plus the 1k tranq's to knock it
"Arrow to the knee" is that a reference raas? Lmfao, love your content man
Small correction: for max efficiency for shadow mane tame, you need at least 1.5x fish size, not 2.0x
See my shadowmane vid mate, we tested 1.5 and it got less affinity than 2.0
@@Raasclark I meant taming efficiency, not affinity. You can get perfect tames with 1.5x fish sizes. Although sometimes you loose taming efficiency because the sizes are rounded, which means the fish could have been 1.46x or 1.47x.
@@pandagames3193 ooooooh well never considered this, surprised the lower affinity doesn't affect effectiveness! Thanks for the heads up mate

I cannot believe that the Phoenix placed #1.
I'm pretty sure that after 5 years, people still have not learned how easy it is to tame. Titanosaur is #1 for sure
I tamed many phoenix on official, I still say it's a pain in the ass to tame one. There was one time I had a phoenix in trap. And we waited a few hours, still no heat waves, then game updated, server restarted, it was gone. My tribemates and I almost fell asleep waiting for nothing. It's totally random. Also, in PVE, if it stops near other players' base, where you can't build trap, you will have to wait for even longer. Or good luck taming it in the air.
I remember playing on a streamers server and I went for the phoenix as soon as I got on the server. Ended up getting an argy and parasaur and flew across the entire desert multiple times just to find it 11 hours later and mess up the trap by 2 pixels. I only had 4 heatwaves during the entirety of 11 hours and had to wait 2hours and 40 minutes for another one just to finally get a lvl 7 Phoenix. Later on found a second one lvl 140 and it was just amazing flying with it
I think basilisk should be an honorable mention, trap and it may just aggro your structures and never the eggs, without a trap either be constant aggrod or suddenly risk it burrowing to tank its efficiency, its just inconsistent
basilisk is super easy, it's just the food that's an issue. Though I will say, without or with a bad trap, you will rip your hair out yes.
Idk I just slap a metal foundation over a light pet as bait and toss the eggs on top. Works pretty well for me. I have a much harder time finding a basilisk of a high enough level it's worth taming
Yes Ras you are right in everything 😂, Taming this creatures is no joke, it's takes time (depending your strategy) and effort
"arrow to the knee"..well played, sir!
It’s nice to see you always crediting other ark tubers like nooblets, keep up the great vids 👍
I remember one tame that used to annoy me like heck in a normal server and that is a Thylacoleo. They take quite a while without Prime Meat to tame, and then there is the other problem of their torpor rate. It goes down really fast and if you don't have a good supply of Narcotics or Narcoberries you could easily find it up and ready to sic ya.
they actually prefer cooked meat instead of raw
Just prepare for the tame. Craft up a lot of narcotics. Cook some prime meat. Spot the thyla you want. Build a simple trap, and then lure it in.
That is pretty much the same method as any other Island creature as well. Just have a plan.
@@funnyfunnyfunnyxd Did not know that...

ARK is my most played game but I haven't played it in a long time, my group of 6 all got really busy and went their separate ways for the most part and I don't have the time to sink into this to get back into it. Wow. It really seems that people don't know the difference between "taming" and "obtaining". I still think this poll should have much more been "hardest creatures to solo tame", since none of these are remotely "difficult" with multiple people. Problem here was the fact that everyone seemed to have a different take on what you meant (eventhough "taming" is clearly defined).
Anyone who has tried taming the giant turtle will immedially disagree with you, solo or not. Same goes for shadowmane.
@@Phoenix.Sparkles shadowmane ez
Love how you featured my idea tysm
thank you so much! this really helped!
I have to disagree on the whole reaper thing, trying to kite one into that acid and get pregnant before it dies from the acid is literally harder than getting one on abberation. It WAS easily done there at first, WC changed the timing for the acid and made it rise and fall super fast. It kills even max level queens way too fast, I've literally watched one die as it started the grab animation lmao. Also, managarmr is incredibly easy to tame now as well. Net gun goes brrr......
Once Nooblet's video came taming phoenix became very easy. I became a proud owner of 30 phoenixes (8 event ones) in official server , thanks to Nooblet

I loved that simple “arrow to the knee” 😂😂❤️
The list is good, but I really think the basilisk should be in it 😊
For real !
Feeding it rock drake eggs is hard, they are hard to come by anyway.
Ah I remember when I started on a vanilla Valguero on PvE, things I learned are people can be complete hoards of space, pillar spam crazy, and raptors can potentially carry lubrication to pounce through a window frame and wind up in your base (personal experience), and building a base is a pain thanks to said players making large base while taking up large amount of space.
"pillar spam crazy"
yeah, ark has an alpha tribe problem...
also what is up with their dedication to removing all fun in pvp? they could at least use the pillar spammed land
Best trap is a 2x2 with door frames
The entrance to the trap is only one title high with ramps and the rest 3-4.
Easy trike taming. I get a low lv that is not near a pack with a boomerang or slingshot. It’s soo cheap to make and effective on most dinos.
I have gone from thorny dragons to rexes.
Kind of glitchy with some dinos though.
Allos somehow magically walk through the frames and same with theris. I managed to fix it somewhat with a higher entrance point being 2 titles high but still a few problems along the way. The craziest result has been that it gives the megatherium the ability to fly out of the trap and kill me. The only way to stop that was to stand millimeters from his range to attack me and shoot it in the face. Pve is worst in official than pvp. I have had more enjoyable playing in my rented private server. It’s not too modded and not too Grindy.
I know I’m a bit later to this video but amazing vid I was really good keep up the great work ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Congrats on 2m views on this! Really good video!
Thank youu!!
I feel like the Titanosaur should be a permanent tame they have less health than the Titans and little damage
They can also be found on any map and able to destroy entire bases, on pve sure, but not pvp.
If you play singleplayer or own the server there is an option that makes titanosaur permanent
@@Phoenix.Sparkles They were used on PVP quite often before turrets and tek stuff came. Don't underestimate titanos and PVE bases.
I say the armagasaurus can still be a hard tame. Even with the mod: immersive taming, the armaga proceeds to still be hard to get to tame
Oh he agrees, on one of the monarky series he spends like 20 hours and most of his brain cells trying to get one. Dunno if lost island was out when this video came out though
Wow nice vid rassclaut
Awesome sauce on the Phoenix tame.
Phoenix tip: if you ever find one and know where the ashes are. Basically he's there just blast it with a fire wyvern until is tamed, no need to wait for the heatwave. Thank me later.

Awesome vid! Maybe next something around the best dinos for gathering resources? Mammoth is great for Wood & Thatch with its Wood weight reduction but you've also got the Doedy for Stone, Anky for LOADS of bits, Moschops & Theri for Fiber. Giga/Rex for raw meat, Saber for hide, Dire bear for honey, Stego for berries, wood & thatch, Mantis for LOADS of bits, Tuso for Bio-toxin or just get a Stryder and HARVEST IT ALL.

Another work around for the Phoenix is breading fire wyverns that are maxed level and keeping the ones with hire attack points. Tedious butt can be done.
I believe that it no longer possible to get the R-reapers as it was way to OP but even if you can’t get them on gen 2 it is still an easy tame with a stalker, light pet and a megalosaurus.
Jeez... I just started playing and was all excited when I shot a spino several times with tranq darts and tamed it. I didn't know about all these other things
Raasclark a good top ten could be the best looking creatures I would like to see what the ark community votes btw keep up the good work man
Honestly, for me every tame is the hardest tame because i always underestamate my character.
Personally I’d have one of my top 3 be a rock drake. Taking the egg is one thing, escaping is another. Once you grab one all of them immediately run up on you at once, with Wyverns you can kite them and they’ll run circles around you trying to breathe on you. With rock drakes these mfs climb walls/rocks/cliffs while invisible at 70 mph and you can’t kite them cuz they’re melee only. They’re the absolute worst if you don’t have a flyer.
Me: *grabs rock drake egg*
Every rock drake on the server: swiggity swooty I’m coming for that booty
Drake eggs piss easy mate. At bottom of egg area set up some megalasourus, as soon as you steal an egg glide on down to your meggas and they will make mince meat of the drakes.
Man your top tens are great!!!!!!!!!!
Yea I was thinking of taming a phonix for silica pearls… definitely going to rethink that one
You left out the real number 1 hardest to tame creature, though everyone who makes these lists always does forget it since its a creature noone cares about anyways. The Moschops, man to tame one of those you better have a few of everything in your inventory ready to feed it cause who knows what its gonna ask for with each bite, right now it wants a mejoberry, 20 seconds later a rare flower, 20 seconds later a simple kibble, 20 seconds later a rare mushroom etc etc
here is a list of what it wants (by the way with high rates its super easy to tame with Tintoberries/Mejoberries):Tintoberries, Mejoberries, honey, rare flower, rare mushroom, sap, raw/cooked prime fish and meat, i believe that is it.
Fun fact: The titanosaur is the largest dinosaur in gaming history
This dude has taught me so much
Damn, this came just in the right moment, only 6 more in game days and still a lot to tame, and the hardest are here for me to see!!
Wdym 6 more days?

And if you are on Single Player and want to tame a Titanosaur, Uncheck Use SinglePlayer Settings and Allow Raid Dino Feeding options, if you don't then it will lose tons of torpor really quick! and be almost impossible to tame. Once it's tamed you can check back those settings and keep your Titanosaur forever.
I actually wanted to make an advanced guide but I'm too lazy for that xD and just by unchecking those settings it becomes somewhat easy to tame.
Btw you will need tons of bug repelant... Why? Well the stupid ants will make your Quetz's stamina go down wicked fast, and you don't want that.
When you were talking about gigas and the "unless your mass breeding gigas you'll most likely opt out of that" MADE ME WANNA TAME A GIGA SOOO BAD

Top ten hardest to tames that are not worth the effort
Honestly I think the ice Titan is easier then the forest, if your good with a mek it’s really easy to doge out of its way and then shoot the nodes, compared to the forest Titan who spawns trees that damage you and also with a more compact arena.
Nah, just have a very tanky tame and a very good saddle which is not hard to get on ext, best weapon is bow, go below it between the legs and fire away
great vid as always!
a bit sad you didnt include the noctis from mobile but great video either way!
You mean griffin
Great video, What was the song at 9:25?
All though it pales in comparison to the things on the list, Galis post flier pickup nerf are an absolute nightmare to tame without Gen 2.
They are near impossible to get into a trap even with rare flowers as any damage dealt by another enraged dino will send them fleeing, they run super fast and seem compelled to run in the direction of the nearest wild carnivore leading to them getting eaten and killed. Their high walk speed makes it common for them to simply walk out of view while setting up a trap.
Never again am I trying to tame one lol.
They can be bola'd and you can build a trap around them in that time. Thatch will do, they don't attack.
@@moreteaplease8942, only with a chain bola, not a hand bola.
I agree with the list itself but imo Manas are one of the easiest special creature to tame with a trap. Magmasaur eggs are also free estate with a grappler or Bloodstalker (which are pretty simple to tame on Gen 1). Keep it up✌🏻

I understand but it was still funny to me-
I'm honestly surprised that something like the Unicorn or the Basilisk wasn't on the list in some way. While the Unicorn can be tamed just like a normal Equuis, they are super rare to find, only having 1 spawn in the entire map at a time. I think I have maybe only ever glimpsed one in the wild once but it was in the Redwoods on the main Island map and I think it was quickly swarmed and killed off by raptors/terror birds.
As for the Basilisk, not only are they extremely dangerous creatures that can attack up close or at range...they are passive tames if I recall and the only way you can tame them is by feeding them (fertilized?) Rock Drake Eggs. That being said...I am glad I don't plan on getting/playing Genesis 1 or 2 seeing at it looks like most of this list comes from there.
Wyvern eggs work as well just hover above on a desmo and drop it and it eats it. Its pretty easy for basilisk
Shoulder pet with a metal foundation will hold the sneks agro. Then drop eggs from your inventory while being safe above on a flier
Shadowmane isn't too hard tbh, but I can understand some of the things that makes it tedious
I build a open trap cage for mine.. makes them super easy to tame.. elevated 2x2 box, 4x ceiling hatch as floor with 2 walls high walls. first wall is glass window, so I can easily see which way it is turning. Then it is a simple matter to lure it up the flight of stairs, fly over the open box, while it drops down. fly out of render range, and come back, wait for it to calm down and feed it through the ceiling hatch openings.
High level Fjordhawk, might be a worthy addition to this list too.
I haven't tamed a trike yet and this is what I'll have to go through, oh my god.
Personally I think that magmasaurs and managarmrs are not that hard to tame. For the managarmr you dont even need a trap, you just get an ascendant crossbow w/ like 400% and chug health brew while it attacks you, and if you use a good wyvern going into a magmasaur cave is easy.
Agree, except the 400% part. A journeyman dropped from alpha raptors is enough. The hardest part is it not dying to wild mammoths.
Magmasaur was extremely easy for me. All I did was fly in on a pteranodon, grab an egg and fly out… I’d argue that getting the pteranodon was harder than getting the magmasaur
1:25 if you practice it can be your first tame, or you can build a trap that just makes it so easy you can do it wrong and still tame it
once tamed a Bronto with sling shots :D
dam it took some time, and a few sling shots. :D
I was thinking about getting this game but geez, just looks like a huge pain!
New to this game had 4 of them things at :15 and did not know they did that
I want to see a Top 10 Favorite ARK Survivors list!
This video is perfect
I've juste seen two of the beast in my year playing ARK x)
The bit about Pheonix holds up to this day. Raasclark tried to tame as many pheonix as he could in one day recently and it didn’t go well
Watching this video after not playing ark for years is insane
I feel for Shadowmane. I remember I was almost finished and even during the day it didn't feel like going to sleep. I was going to give before it fell back asleep.
Bro shadowmane are so easy to catch once you understand how to catch them. Keep ten baskets in your hotbar and everytime you do catch one make sure you submerge yourself in water to reset the timer on the basket. Once you have like 20 just switch out the ones that are low into the hot bar and submerge again and then feed the shadowmane in the trap once you’re done. Super easy.
The expression is 'ride it like Seabiscuit'. Which was the name of a horse. Hense the "saddle up" and "riding" references lol. Just so you know 😜 Love the video and totally agree! Void Wyrms are a bish to tame...
Bruh that Phoenix tip is actually hella useful
Just want to say always make great ark content
You're very welcome ☺
Love the shout out to nooblets he was one of my favorite ark yters
