- Join us on an extraordinary journey as two lifelong friends, Francis and Benoit, turn a crumbling, centuries-old castle into a stunning 4-star hotel. With no construction experience, a modest budget, and a dream, they face five years of grueling work, harsh weather, and even a global pandemic. Visit the hotel website here: link.qformedia....
Nestled in the rolling hills of Corrèze, France, Teide Castle is steeped in history serving as a hospital in World War I and a college during World War II. After being abandoned for over 30 years, the castle was in ruins. Despite its dilapidated state, Francis and Benoit saw an opportunity of a lifetime. Purchasing the castle for just $170,000, they dove headfirst into a monumental renovation, taking on personal debts and later opening the project to public investment.
This video captures their incredible highs and daunting lows, from demolition challenges and intricate roof repairs to the heart-stopping moment when a collapsing chapel almost derailed everything. Watch as local artisans, global investors, and sheer determination come together to breathe new life into this historic treasure.
Will they achieve the impossible? Let’s dive in and find out!

I never expected this to be 0:04 such an ambitious project! Kudos to Francis and Benoit for their perseverance and successful completion of a truly stunning masterpiece.
This is the second or third time this channel picked up a project I have been watching over the years. These guys are awesome, and I hope they make good money on this project.
Magnifique restauration !!!
Wow,superb, the attention to detail in everything is incredible, well done 🤗🤗
i watched them all time they done something absolutly unbelivible with that chateau
I watched them all the time. They done something absolutely liveable/loveable
Lavoro molto bello, ottimo risultato.
🔧🔩🔧👍👍👍

VERY GOOD JOB
Beautiful
Wow juste magnifique une dinguerie 😍🤩👏🙏👍
This was AMAZING!!! What an AWESOME TRANSFORMATION!!!! They put in SO MUCH hard work and it looks like it has PAID OFF because everything I've seen is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!! - One thing tho... WHY didn't they show us they Tower Suites???!!!?? They were touted as the the two Suites that were going to make this a FOUR-STAR Hotel AND THEN THEY DIDN'T EVEN SHOW THEM TO US!! 😢 - Maybe they just weren't ready to be shown to the public just yet :)
Look at those I/H beams at 29:40, in Europe they are used as temporary support for concrete floors, because the can handle weight,
but what they absolutely can't handle is fire, but in the greatest country on the disc they use them as permanent structural feature.
Ask your local firefighter if he/she/it/x likes those things and why they/them /x don't.....
Thanks for the wonderful video!
beautiful restoration and new restaurant.
muy buen video, me gusto
This is NOT a restoration. Its barely even the same building with the ugly carbuncle attached to it. The interior has ZERO thought of the history of the building. Still its marginally better than leaving it to collapse 😊
thanks god someone sees it. Also call it like 2 friends restoring a castle. these dude had millions to spend. they outsourced all work. it was a business investment and of the chateau remains only the exterior look
Einfach Klasse 👍
I think this is pretty awesome. Save our castles!
ours ??? :)))
Aren't you mixing up about anything? )))
@@jwserge humanities castles. They are our history.
😀👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Gratulálok ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
it's really Super God Bless your Business .🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
😍😍😍😍😍
Beautifully restored building, I just hope that with time, they’ll furnish the place with an adequate for the building history pieces, as at the moment it look like Premier Inn, nowhere close to a 4 start hotel.
❤👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤
Looks Great 👍🏼. Why they didn't put in heated floors makes no sense. It would be a part of the stay. People don't like cold floors.
thanks karen
Not a castle and not friends.
woow
Dedication, hard work but not at least love for architecture and history ❤ congratulations 🥂 I wish you success and hope I one day will visit you’re beautiful hotel 😊
👍🏻👍🏻❤️👏🏻
Absolutely incredible restoration!! 😮🤩
I'm sorry, but this is absolutely awful. While I respect all their incredible hard work, trying to turn this classical masterpiece into a contemporary style totally disrespects the old aesthetic vision. It's really sad actually. One is a distinctly French handmade style, the other a totally generic computer-made straight-line style that could be from anywhere in the world. Taking their French heritage and erasing all of its local character = a huge creative fail.
I don't mean to attack these guys since I know how much work they did...but you see this everywhere. Whether in France, Japan, Dubai, etc., we are all erasing our local cultural heritage and exchanging it for a cold, impersonal, international, totally machine-made blandness. This modern style looks like it belongs in any other city in the world - how is this creative and leaving a legacy for our children?
Cheap, quick, mass-produced, impersonal design based on straight lines that can be designed in a computer in 5 minutes (I'm a designer, I would know). Welcome to the modern age.
I agree. What a clash!
I have a question why didn't they paper the roofs and steeples before putting wood strips and sleight tiles?
AMAZING
The two friends *took on personal debts to secure the purchase.* Once *they were all in,* a thrilling journey began.
Amazing is not adequate to describe this.
It's chateau not a castle.
Fascinating. I prefer the AI narration to the distracting text you put in your videos.
$170,000 but you need to sink in millions !! 🤔
There is barely anything left of the original buildings. That is not a restoration it’s a demolition
Wow 😱😱😱😱😱 !!!!!! TOOOOOOP !!!!!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hi to the both of you I've just watched your chateau transformation it is beautiful and top job I love the restaurant and all the on seats bedrooms in the hotel 5 stars to you both
i feel like im watching chateau diaries, dan preston extension, pt 6....................
this is chateau du thiel they have been making youtubes for years. Go watch their stuff, if you are english or american, you just turn on subtitles
😁👍🏼
That was just sad. Sorry but the narrative is an epic fail.
🧔🏻👍🏻 🤩🤩🤩😊
Bonjour, le dialogue est navrant. Dommage.
What a shame.
MasyaAllah... 😱😱👍👍
Too much clash between modern and stonework. The restaurant should have matched the castle.
why dont you go repair your own chateau and show them the proper way to do it.
The castle was just $170,000 and they spent zillion dollars only.:D
and they built a restaurant, and you know how much money those always make. $0
I have been watching their progress on their channel. This presentation is rather awful.
What's there channel name, I can't watch this it's awful
You guys use AI narrators now? yikes. The bad transcription was jarring enough....
Don't watch Happy Holidays 😊
BIG ADS...........
Globale Pandemie 🤣😂🤣😂das war eine Globale Plandemie
Shame on you all 😭😞😞😭😭😞😞😭😞😞😞😭😭😭😞😞😞😭😞😞😞
It looks like this could a reproduction in the US or china. All the patina and heritage has been replaced with a bland overly modernised building. The roof and the restaurant are hideous. The stone cleaning makes the building look like it's cladding not stone.
They were fortunate to be able to save what they did. The building save the walls and tower was a total ruin. Due to French fire regulations they could not use flammable materials. So, they rebuilt as they saw fit. You don't have to go there, but I'll bet many will. Their opening hotel rates were in the order of 200-300 Euros.
