    I'm absolutely SHOCKED! I can't you're 42 years old. My jaw almost hit the floor! I never gave much thought to your age. I subconsciously thought early thirties. Hats off to you man! I'm 24 myself. I've saved this vid to my favorites (something I rarely do). I truly appreciate this channel. It's helped me to get in great shape. Between your boxing and excerise tips, as well as your diet tips (the high volume, low calorie vid was a LIFE CHANGER). You're a good guy. Keep doing you bro. Much love.

      Thank you for watching the videos and for trying out that diet. I love to eat and I found that it was always the easier to stay lean when you didn't feel like you were starving to death. People always want to make everything seem more complicated than it really is, Just imagine that your 24 and you are doing all of these things now...when your 50 you're still going to able to do them because you laid down a solid foundation.
      Thanks again for the awesome comment, I always feel great if these videos are able to help or motivate someone : )

    Wow! I only hope that I will be in the shape that the older gentleman is in at 80 years young, his is very skillful too! Great video, very inspiring to those of us who are up in the fifties, keep up the good work

    So very true. I'm 61 and not stopping. Love heavy and double end bag work outs.

      That's awesome...I really do find that the heavy bag and double-ended bags are a fun way to stay in great shape. It is sooo much easier to "not stop" ..when you actually like the workouts that you're doing. Thanks for commenting and for watching : )

    I'm actually 39 and people are always surprise to know that because they always think I'm younger than that up 5-8 years younger! One of my coach is more than 60 years old but he is in better shape than me and he still can beat me with one fist behind his back!

    • @fightyourwayfit
      @fightyourwayfit  5 років тому +1

      That’s great!!! You already look 8 years younger. When you’re 60 people will think you’re still in your forties and that’s because you’re keeping yourself in shape 🙂🙂🙂🙂

    I'm 54 and did a NAGA BJJ last year. I've taken different martial arts for 2 years. I can't work out like a 20-30 year old can; but I do well sparring. I work with free weights and a treadmill; but I just can't push myself like I did in my 20-40's. I also deal with joint pain; therefore I can't train properly; but its amazing what you can do if you want to.

      You are absolutely right, of course, we will never be like we were in our 20's but it is not a reason to stop training. You are a great example for other people and it is truly is amazing what we can accomplish if we want to. BJJ is such a great way to stay in shape and I was honestly thinking about posting some beginner videos for basic technique in the spring.
      Thanks for commenting...I'm sure someone will read this post and realize that they can also be training in there 40's 50' and even into their 80's " )

    Great video Mike. And so nice of you in that sparring. Guy is definitely awesome. I hope that I be like him when I get to that age. I can imagine how ferocious we would have been in his youth. Was he a pro?

      Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment on the video. He was not a pro boxer but he was a competitive judoka for many years. I also hope to be like him when I’m older. He’s awesome!! 😎😎😎

    On a unrelated note would you recommend using a dip station or going off a bench for dips? Thanks

    • @fightyourwayfit
      @fightyourwayfit  6 років тому

      That will always depend on whether you are trying to isolate the triceps or incorporate your chest. If you are looking to hit the chest than a dip station is the way to go but if it is triceps then I like using the bench :)

    Do you have any suggestions for how to work your way up to doing 100 push-ups without stopping using only one day of the week and exercise that would help with lifting heavy bags on and off the hook thanks

    • @fightyourwayfit
      @fightyourwayfit  6 років тому

      NIce..100 pushups is a lot of pushups and this is an interesting one. In football, they have what is called a combine and it is basically a bunch of physical tests, one of which is how many times a player can bench press 225lbs. Many of my football playing friends were shocked that i could usually knock out close to 30 reps (which isn't too shabby for my weight)...the difference was that they were always training with 225lbs. One week perhaps they did 15 reps and then maybe in three weeks they did 17 reps. I usually trained with a much heavier weight, i would do 315lbs for 12 reps or 405lbs for 3 reps...and only once in a while i try my hand at high reps with 225lbs.....my whole point is that i was used to lifting a heavier load and when i dropped down to 225lbs it didn't seem too heavy and i was able to push out a high number...as opposed to my friends who always trained with that same weight.
      The same overload principle will apply to doing 100 pushups. If you are only doing pushups with your bodyweight then it may take a while to see improvements. Yet if you try lifting a slightly heavier load by adding to your body weight (perhaps a weighted vest) or even try the bench press...and only once in a while try the 100 pushups you will find that your improvement will be much quicker.

    About the sun
    Its very healthy for you unless you stay in it too long and start burning your skin. Im not saying that tanning is healthy but little tan goes as a natural sun screen

    • @fightyourwayfit
      @fightyourwayfit  6 років тому

      Thanks for commenting and you are absolutely right, I should have emphasized that staying in the Sun until you burn is what will damage your skin :)
