We worked for a long while developing this balisong, and I really believe it's the best of the plastic squiddy lineup.
The first production run will be limited to 100 units, each featuring a serialized number and my signature along the outside of the handles. It will be releasing on February 7th at 11am PST (2pm EST)
After that first drop, the Squiddy-WH will be released to the public, available for as long as people want it! That's right, this isn't some limited time thing. This will be available for everyone after the first production run!!

Genuinly huge for plastic balis cuz delrin is a self lubricating material, meaning you don't need lube making it perfect for new flippers

Also the design of the Squiddy-WH looks amazing. Being Delton is exciting, and the color way is incredible. I squiddy with texture and jimping is fantastic.
Only thing I would wish to see is a bite handle indicator, but I get that adds another step of machining

I know it's plastic and you need all the material around the pivots that you can get , but boi do I hate non-counter sunk pivots/screws. Could have bored them at least a little bit.

I think waiting is a good idea! Get used to the Vulp and decide if this hobby is something you like enough to stick with before spending more money!

Hey I don’t know if you’ll see this but I’m a 14 year old who is just getting back into balisongs. I have a squiddy b and have been wanting another. I can’t tell which to get, a mako, or this, the design is just so good!
If you have a Squiddy-B already, I would personally suggest getting a Mako for the difference in feel between plastic and metal. You could always pick up one of these later if you like the style enough! But I think having some variations in your collection is the most important thing!

I have to say that I haven't been able to put down my Vulp Pro since I got it from launch. It flips amazingly well.
I don't believe a Squiddy will flip better but it'll look nice in the carrying case for sure! :D

I do think it flips better but you are right, it's still a squiddy at the end of the day. It's not like a crazy improvement flipping wise, but I do think the combination of the cool new look combined with the slight improvements will be worth it to some people!
@@WillHirschFlips I understand the intent behind the Squiddy line of product and had I been introduced to balisongs at a young age, that would be the perfect product for me. Now that I have FU money as an established adult, I'm glad I can collect things for the pettiest of reasons.
The look is also more in my taste. Being from Canada, I crave all harmless looking trainers I can. It's hard being a knife addict and not being able to carry live blades and Squiddy's are nice but a bit to plasticy to my taste. I jumped on the AL version for that reason. And now I'll grab a fox paw for sure!

I respect that you’ve earned your place in the Bali community but I don’t think anyone wanted this over the projects they’ve been cooking for years. Although I think this might give me an excuse to buy a squiddy
I think that's fair! However I know that this project didn't really like, delay any of their other stuff. I created the design and they work on different things on different machines (you can see this in my tour video of their factory) so the Squiddy-WH project didn't like, delay anything else. The Hydro especially has been a big work in progress and while I'd love it to come out sooner, I have a feeling it's delay has been mostly due to both Squid moving factory locations last year paired with the acquisition of new parts such as their Bevel Grinder.
Regardless, I'd also really like to see that stuff come out, but this project didn't delay anything else haha!

I've had to move put from an old Hobbie called beyblade burst because of its new series and moved on to balisongs. Was I happy? No, is this fun? Yes. I got the wh and it's like a safer version of a regular balisong but in a good way

Hi will Hirsch I just wanted to ask what plastic balisong would you recommend for cheap because I don’t really want to spend 80$ to get a plastic on but I would like to not get the squiddy because i also don’t want to spend 40$ on a plastic one but I just wanted to ask what you would recommend 😅😊
Hmmmm, it's hard because any of the cheaper ones get really bad kinda quick. I've played with a lot of 3D printed ones from Etsy and other places and the only ones that were any good started at around $40. The best I've tried was the Tay Flipper at like $150 so that's a no-go haha. The Zippy Diode is a potentially good option: zippybalisong.com/products/diode for $30 but it's still gonna perform worse then a OG Squiddy. TBH my suggestion that's the best for the money is just the OG Squiddy, but it's a weird answer just because the whole "plastic balisong" space is so new in general!
