Good review. Though she's a fan of Wealthfront, she appears to give a balanced review. Clear explanations with pointers on things to do and not do if you choose this robo-advisor. Here's an update after applying for a Wealthfront account. I still think the review was, for the most part, a good overview of Wealthfront. However, it left out a pretty important warning about the application process. As part of that process new customers will be asked to connect their bank account to the service. This will involve giving Wealthfront access to the past year of your bank transaction history. I can't imagine why they would need this except to collect marketing information on you. This seems extremely invasive to me and not relevant to the service they claim to be providing. So if you are considering using this service BEWARE!
I recently sold some property and have about 300K, I don't like the current interest the local bank is offering, .05%, so Wealthfront caught my eye and then I found you and I'm sold. Just wanted do let you know and get a wee bit of opinion on what you think. I have an investment portfolio with the bank and I think they've done well but I have always had this itch that maybe there are other good investment options I'm not aware of. Thanks, Regards, Bruce
SoFi and fidelity don't offer "tax loss harvesting" but are two companies I was considering going for. Should I find a company that does offer it? Is it that big of a deal?
Hi! I have an individual Investment account and a savings account with Wealthront. Would you still recommend opening a Roth IRA, especially since I don't have a 401k? Is investing in stocks on your own a better option?
Hi Jessica. I'm a complete novice in the investment space and this was a great post with enough detail to help me make a decision. Subscribed and liked of course. Question, can I roll over an Acorns investment account into a Wealthfront investment account without tax ramifications?
Thanks for the video on customizing a portfolio. Given that we have to data I would like to see the following: Allow user to get the risk score of a customized portofolio Allow user to compare the performance of recommended vs customized portfolios over 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 and 20 years Being able to evaluate the peformance of two or more portfolios will help users come to a decision that is based on some data Is there a advisory service that allows the above
I have a dumb question why would I want to pay them if I can just buy the same ETF allocation they just showed me on the screen? Is it because they will sell it for me too if there is a down turn?
I’d argue Wealthfront if you have a lower balance. Betterment now charges a flat rate for accounts under $20,000 of $4 per month. Seems small but that is a large percentage.
I have an IRA with chase I want to transfer it to Wealthfront but chase charges a $75 transfer and termination fee .. will Wealthfront reimburse me the fee? Do you know? Thanks
Here’s how to transfer securities to Wealthfront: support.wealthfront.com/hc/en-us/articles/209348146-How-to-transfer-investments-to-Wealthfront-from-another-brokerage There is no mention of Wealthfront reimbursing fees from other institutions.
Can I ask, what would be the benefit of opening an account with wealthfront whereas you can open an individual account on another broker and just get those etfs?
The main benefits are convenience and removing behavior issues. Wealthfront will build and hold a solid portfolio. Self-managed portfolios are susceptible to people trying to market time and make emotional trades, which almost always end up being worse over time. If you are in a retirement account where taxes on gains are irrelevant, you could also just buy a target date index fund. Those are usually about half or even 1/3 the fee of a roboadvisor and give you a similar portfolio in a single fund.
I think their main selling point is tax loss harvesting. This is more painful to do yourself. Otherwise, you could setup a Pie on M1 Finance and do all of the auto-rebalancing etc. for no fee. They also do the portfolio selection based upon your risk profile if you did not want to research that, but someone can do that for themselves if they have the time and knowledge.
Would you recommend Wealthfront or Vangaurds robo advisor? I already have accounts with both but am looking to invest additional in a non retirement account.

I just started wealth front 2 days ago! I'm late in the game.

Just get fidelity hold long DCA and don’t worry about tax loss harvesting.

There's a lot of features you're paying for that she doesn't mention, such as free portfolio rebalancing.
I think you should review Acorns next.
New sub! Thanks for this video!
Wealthfront or m1 finance
Amazing video
Which is better Betterment vs Wealthfront?
Betterment because you start with only $10 WealthFront you need a minimum of $1000 in my opinion it’s better.
@@elias9799that’s a lie. You can start with any amount. They just recommend $1000 to get maximum returns

You can also transfer it to your bank, then from your bank, you continue transfer it to Wealthfront. So no cost here
is it good for the uk aswell

The whole thing is the same😮

Thanks
First financial channel that does not come off as a glorified promo (or excess fanboism), subbed.
Thanks!
Love your videos how you show us step by step
Thanks so much 😊
