Hi John, thanks for your kind comments! The beaters, pickers up and their dogs walk miles on this shoot each day, not to mention climb small mountains!!! Glad you like the film! stay Safe
Sadly, my day in Wales was cancelled due to the current situation. I’m half living vicariously through you on this vid and half extra annoyed I could get out for my day! Great video again J-P. Really enjoying them.
Thanks Matthew, your comments and feedback are really appreciated! Sorry to hear your day was cancelled, fingers crossed wales are back open on the 18th so you should be able to get a day or two in then, try Bettws Hall I know they have put some extra days on, Stay Safe
Hi Dan, Thanks for asking - truthfully I cant actually remember what the teams average was, I finished on 8.1 for the day. From what I understand the average down there is circa 12.1 and above although they have had a substantial amount of teams a lot higher!!!! and one team that shot it at 4.1! Its a super shoot if you don't know it and one definitely worth the bucket list! Stay Safe
Paul they were monsters!!!! The twisting and curling combined with the height meant you just had to be on your toes on everyone! Super challenging but well worth a visit!
Hi David and thanks for watching, yes shoots in the UK at the minute are still using lead shot although there is talk of that changing in due course. Stay Safe
Hi James, great to hear from you. I was using a pair of berreta 687 EELL Classic's here which are 12 gauge over and under's. Cartridge wise i only use Eley Zenith when I'm game shooting, these are a copper plated shot so hold their pattern when shot and maintain good clean kills. On this shoot they were 36 gram 4. Hope that helps. Stay Safe
@@theseatedgun2377 Hi there thank you for replying would you say that they are better than gamebore or hull cartridge 36 gram 4 or is it just your opinion I was there the day you were shooting at warter priory I was beating but it was a pleasure to watch you shoot! 😁
@@jamesrichardson5094 Hi James, I think its like anything with shooting and many other sports its what works for you and what you prefer. All I would say is that I've never had a bad day using Zenith's, so have the confidence that they will do the job, regardless of where I am shooting. I have shot gamebore (Dark storms) and found them to leave a lot of debris behind in the barrels. Being honest I've never shot Hull. Argh I didn't realise you were busy behind the scenes at Warter! Thank you for all your hard work that day - it was a super day! and thank you for your kind comments. Stay Safe
@@theseatedgun2377 thank you for telling me your personal opinions I’ve never tried 12 gauge shells from eley the only time I’ve ever used some cartridges from eley was back when I had a 28 bore until I decided to move on to a 12 what shot size would you recommend for shooting pheasants? Which shot size would you say hits them but also kills the bird cleanly as that is what I am all about when I’m shooting please let me know!
William, he was super, and trust me when your shooting these type of birds you don't want someone who is frantic, he knew everything about every drive and pretty much could tell you to the minute when the birds would be arriving!
Trust me Mike, you don't need one, the birds are driven from so far you have plenty of time and to be honest, a faster loader at somewhere like this makes you just rush your shots, whereas here you really need to pick your birds!
Used to beat there keepers and shoot owner have moved on to penal in Machynlleth you can shoot of the roads there I think it’s better shoot high birds 👍ps great videos
Another first class video, stunning location, fair play to all the beaters and pickers up, super fit. 👍👍

I used to test my rally car right there. Nice to see a new use of the usually wet remote place, the source of the Severn.
Super shoot Tom, well worth a visit!
You Sir are an inspiration. Glad I've found your channel.
Regards from sunny Wigan!

Looks great...i am from New Zealand and are wondering whether your still using lead on these shoots?

lead shot could be gone in 5 years.@@theseatedgun2377
Good video, the loader was painful to watch. Well shot.
Hi James, thanks for your comments and feedback. I have to say he was super chilled and did a super job for his first time double gunning. Stay Safe

Fantastic video as usual. Great shooting. You should get you a nice double side by side.
Hi Mike, thanks! Have to be honest I learnt to shoot with a side by side, but haven't used one for years!!
@@theseatedgun2377 I could never shoot seated like you do.

Rob its superb! You'll love the motorcross there as well but the shooting is well worth the visit! Take a driver as you'll sleep all the way home!

Getting people with disabilities into shooting is a must. It's not that hard. Improvise, adapt and over come.
Thanks for your feedback, and absolutely. It really is a sport that with some foresight and organization can be enjoyed by many.
Car keys mate😂

No sweet lambs were hurt during the filming of this video. :(
