Excellent as always. It pleases me to see young people involved in the sport at an early age. I hope you and your family are well and safe during the current situation.
Putting thoughts and dreams in our minds for next season. As my first pheasant hatches out in my incubators. The best tv I'll watch all week ( or till the next time dave uploads)?.. All the best in these difficult times dave for you and your family. And keep young guns shooting. Jonny
Dave I’ve being following you for some time and your video’s just keep getting better and better !! . They are the best out there by far . That shot on 5.27 was just outstanding 👌thanks for making my weekend . Great work from you and your team as always . Stay safe to you and your family Best regards Darell 👍
A good friend of mine whom has now sadly passed away would have Got on with Dave like long lost brothers , looked like brothers too.Like Dave my pal Jim loved the countryside , loved the people , loved his sport , liked his guns had the best tackle including 4x4s ,but started like most of us with nowt , a single barrel and a donkey jacket ...and worked his way up(the hard way) after his national service ending up a director of his company . He liked the crack on the shoot or in the shop or anywhere where he felt he was in good company didnt matter who it was the cleaner or the Lord of the manor they all got the same repect and time ,and took his Lancashire northern humour with him , we know Daves yorks but its the same humour and respect,Jim also loved to see the young interested in fieldsports as Dave does .. Keep it up Dave your doing a grand job ..
Just about sums it up✊sounds like a great character and characters are what we need in our countryside!! It was built by characters into the patchwork quilt of beautiful tracts of land !! Laid down over centuries to where we end up with a very unique countryside and shooting pastimes that are the envy of the world ( but sadly now in the hands of a generation) that would give it all away with the click of a finger “because they know no better” thanks to our organisations who haven’t a clue 👌😳
@@DaveCarrieShooting Dave with that reply you have summed it up ...My thoughts exactly sadly we are a dying breed , with a totally different upbringing and morals and an understanding of whats right and wrong along with manners and respect , constantly battling to keep our way of life .Keep up the sterling work and the crack shooting and good health to you Dave and family in these surreal times ..
Hi Dave amazing film as always let’s hope the seasons on this year stay safe Dave keep up the good work I’m looking forward to getting my gun out the safe and put some more cartridges through it 👍
There is always that, “Bluh--dy Hell!” moment when the first couple of birds fold, and follow that curve down into the next county: and then I settle in and relax to enjoy the film! Thanks Dave!
hi dave, hope your well?those birds must have been difficult, you even took your hat off for them😂😂stay safe in these tough times👍hopefully be back clay shooting soon, best regards from jack.
As always a great vlog. Great to see the youngsters as well enjoying the countryside. Hopefully we can get back to all of this soon, with the current situation we are all in. I really hope this doesn't impact on the sport too much, or on peoples livelihoods.
Some crackin birds dave awesome shooting. Lets hope this cursed virus goes away soon so we can all get back to normal and enjoy our sport once again. Stay safe old boy and keep the videos coming, it's the only thing keeping us sane just now.
Wonderful day. Thank you for posting. Always appreciate your videos, but starting our third week of lockdown, they are especially enjoyable and with a little touch of Christmas thrown in.
Birds of the gods Dave.Note they took your hat off a few times.Cartridges ? Seemed like a split between plas and fibre.Never imagine being able to ever take on these birds with steel shot.Browning Crown had an outing briefly.😈 and Mr ABC never made the final cut.Did look a really testing day for the team..
Shotaway Films - very difficult on the wind - all fibre used - stock was too flat for me so crown just given a few minutes I’ll give it a good go on another film when the trap stock arrives, it was ultimate concentration to get the kills I got on camera so didn’t have time for ABC !! We’ll get him again tho!! Steel shot currently available in this country won’t be as effective as lead on these type of birds✊
Freddie Eyston - well spotted Freddie, I just thought I’d give it a whirl for a few minutes on the first drive, it still has a sporting stock on and much flatter than I like, but a beautiful handling gun that will reappear with a trap stock on in a future film👍
Thank you for this one Dave, it is much appreciated and comes at a time when it is much needed. Spectacular shooting and some real stiff birds that day as seen by some of those great second barrel kills. Always nice to see you giving the kids that work these shoots their due. From your lips to God's ears, 'We'll see you next year'. Take care of yourself and your loved ones, I raise a glass to you, best regards as always.
Hey Dave really love your shooting videos. You shoot like my Grand father, he loved his High and long distance shots Are you Using the Mk38 Grade V 32'' Barrel? Keep shooting and posting amazing videos.
Sounds like the chap you spoke to could do with some help . Though even the best have off days, looking forward to those off days keep up good work and keep safe .
This aint bad shooting but listen to this in ww2 my dad shot a messasmit Me.109 out the sky with a catapult whilst hop picking in kent in 1942 the pilot bailed out but dad killed him dead in the air with his second shot . Then he carried on hop picking...

Amazing video Dave. Really enjoy watching them. I noticed on one of the drives you used the Browning Crown. How did you find it?
bit too flat for me on long birds - i will give it another try when i get one of my own stocks on
How come you were using a browning crown for the first part of the video?

Good filming, and some great birds. But...call me old fashioned, but double gunning means too many birds put down.
Not really - when they are this difficult it sometimes helps concentration knowing there is back up if needed
