For what it's worth, when talking about profit, cash flow and inventory are all separate. If you have spent more to increase your inventory, that may not necessarily mean you didn't make a profit. Congrats on growing your business! I'm so inspired by your goal setting and while you may not have strictly met all your goals, you have progressed further than where you were this time last year. Be proud of your progress! Your creativity and beautiful products will take you far!
Yes of course - I just would have loved to be in the green numbers. But I do know that it's all investments and the money is not gone - that's pretty much the reason why I actually spent it on more glass beads. And I really want to increase the product range in both my shops - so it's all good. No regrets there. And I am quite happy with all the things I got done this year. It wasn't easy at times. Your work ethic is an inspiration to all. I personally agree with you on newsletters, I seldom read them. Your vlog is a much better measure of the day to day pressures and achievements in keeping your shops running successfully. It is a wise woman who understands the need for a healthy mind and makes time for all relationships. Keep trusting your own judgement on the matter of goal setting, as you are doing well. There are times where I have doubts concerning my goal setting and priorities and I do try to make sense of them by exploring my gut feeling / emotions but also by looking at them from a logical point. I do have bad phases and I cannot allow myself to dwell on them - I know that now. Nothing good will come from it. And as I look back I personally find that I navigated 2024 pretty well. Also while checking in with my mental state. 2025 will come with many many changes and it's on me to make my business work. It really helps when people are there to watch and chime in. Definitely wishing you all the very best! I really am inspired by the beading you do. I am sixty years old and am learning so much from you. The technique and quality of your bead work has given me a goal to achieve the same technique and quality that you are teaching here on UA-cam. There definitely is life outside the Internet which also deserves our attention. The Internet has opened doors on a global level. Yes I agree that everything has to be kept in a balance that you know you can cope with without burning yourself out. Suffering with underactive thyroid and chronic fatigue has slowed down my time and energy. That is why making beautiful pieces of jewellery is good therapy for me. Every time I have made a piece of earrings which are my favourite of jewellery, I feel so accomplished. I am watching so many amazing generous artisans who kindly love teaching their skills in jewellery and beading work. I have come to understand how the craw beading works. My goal is to keep practicing and enjoying what I am learning. And when I am able to, even share back everything that I have been learning too! It amazes me that others learn so much from me and try to get their jewelry's quality to the level of mine. It does baffle me because I have been beading for almost 4 years now - so that's really not a long time at all.
