He wants the speed, that's it. And the head effects last longer. Also he has spare gold probably
heads are still important as someone else can have gheads while you only have gaps, now you have to chug because they have speed 2 and regen while you only have gaps. heads are crucial until your armor is good enough to take no dmg

Me, a person who has never heard of hypixel UHC, looking at the crafting recipes: *visible confusion
Yeah hypixel uhc has some strange but cool crafts,like the philo pick, uses redstone and lapiz aswell as a normal pick, it only has 2 durability,but pretty much 100% chance you'll get a double diamond
I've played hypixel once and I know most of the recipes due to watching wisp for so long
Yes, with exodus, tarnhelm, philo picks, expert seals, bloodblust, dragon sword, dragon chest plate, fusion amour, perun, anduril and void box it's hard to keep up
