Iam so excited to watch your videos. I watch them all even rewatch things twice. The way you explain things is simple. And your very talented keep up the goos work.
I always have tee nuts in all kinds of sizes, I use them when I need thread in sheet metal, just use a pair of side cutters to cut the 3 or 4 teeth off, drill a hole the size of the threaded sleeve and weld right where the cuts were made, extremely strong, finish nearly flush and quick. Just a simple way to thread sheet metal. The tailgate turned out great.
I'm surprised that you didn't use the original hinges but just putting them on the bottom. Nice work so far. 🎉 I figured you were trying to recycle some metal from the original van 😂.
Yeah I thought about it. But I really like the bare metal look and that you can see ever weld it took to put it together. I’ll let the next owner tackle painting it if they want to.
Came out super nice....those dorner van door came in handy.....💯🙂👍🙏
Thanks, Herbie!

The old bait and switch lol
Put some primer on that truck, it would look a lot better than bare steel.
I appreciate the suggestion but I really dig the bare metal. Maybe someday….🤔
AMEN

I was going to do that but I think I accidentally threw them away!🤔
I thought I was the only one who uses swing set chains for projects.
Have you thought about eventually bodyworking and paint on the cabover?
