honestly i only see this channel and gents scents, because they really talk about the fragrance itself and not caring just about the brand or if just take compliments or not. They try to be neutral and only later they talk about personal taste... separating both.
My current 2 must haves: 1.)fall/winter-D&G the one. 2.)spring/summer-D&G light blue intense. Keep in mind I live in Texas so it's basically 80° at least 8 months out of the year. These 2 fragrances are compliments galore in my circles. A bonus one is Versace eau fraiche. One of the best scents ever just doesn't last very long.
I’d try to have two for each season, one cheap and one a bit fancier Spring - Bleu de Chanel parfum, green Irish tweed Summer - Fico di Amalfi, Percival Autumn - Naxos, Jazz Club Winter - Carlisle, Dior Homme Intense
I classify my fragrances into these categories: - summer: Versace Pour Homme - fall/winter: Azzaro Wanted by Night - clubbing: Versace Eros EDP and Afnan 9pm - formal: Afnan SNOI - cheapies for everyday use: Lattafa Najdia and Fakhar Black
@@Jonathanfootball144 both are cloyingly sweet, but Afnan is way more long-lasting and projects off skin. There’s this pear note in JPG that makes it a little fresher than 9PM. Afnan 9PM is just pure sweetness and monster projection

I’ve been cutting down the size of my collection recently, getting rid of what some would consider must haves and keeping only the fragrances I truly love so this video is quite helpful and more videos like this are truly appreciated!!
I feel every collector will do this unless they’re posting content. There comes a time when you only keep special to you scents and rare ones independent of reviews you inform yourself
@@axpect8983Yes absolutely, I reached that point not too long ago and decided to sell anything and everything that I didn’t love. I’ve gotten rid of about 30 fragrances so far and still looking to cut down some more.
@@jordanxlongoria It used to be eBay but now they restrict it and often take them down if they're not sealed. Now I've been mostly selling them through Facebook Marketplace to people around my area. This is good for mainstream designers but horrible for discontinued or niche stuff as they will simply lowball you.

Good collection I see your really into the blues.. just food for thought throw in some gourmands or some green springs to round out collection but overall can't go wrong with any that you have 💯
Appreciate the content. As my collection grows, I'm becoming more and more convinced that there are really only about 15-20 scent profiles, and any one of those scents that falls into that profile will be mistaken for any of the others when smelled on another person. I have around a dozen ish blue fragrances, and when I smell them side by side there is a difference- but smelling any of them on someone walking by it becomes very difficult to know what they are wearing.... Y EDP? Sauvage? BDC? Hawas? Hunter Intense? Probably due to my nose not being very cultured, but 98% of everybody else won't know the difference either.. I've purchased scents that are allegedly unique and not redundant to others in my collection- and yup, definitely redundant because they live in the same space. Slight differences don't generally make them noticeable by anyone else. I'm at the stage now where I'll buy something new, but only if it falls into a profile that I don't have a lot of and performs really well- because I'd like to find those 10 or so that I wear a lot and only need to apply once per day. Givenchy Gentleman EDP was my first fragrance purchase, and anytime I see it mentioned I see only good things. Honestly, I think it’s way too much for almost any occasion. It’s a powdery, peppery bomb that can easily overpower, which is my experience with it. Overwhelmingly, I did not get good reactions from it, even though it smells incredible to me. This is only something I’d reach for if I was going to a black-tie gala or something like that. I love the way it smells, but I don’t think the general public does, so if that matters to you I’d recommend something else.

I wear Layton, Pegasus and Side Effect on cold and cool days. I wear Ombre Leather when I'm spending the day with my wife (it's her favorite). I wear Sauvage EDP and Bleu de Chanel EDP in warmer months. I wear La Nuit de L'homme pretty much anytime. ANYWAY, that's the idea, though I went into this not really thinking about seasons and such. Looked more at what I enjoyed the smell of, so some of these will likely be used in not quite the ideal situations/seasons.
You are right my wife is getting upset with me because I'm starting to look like you in the background! Very true you don't need that much cologne but I will say I have a problem with it 😁😂

The dark horse in this video is Cerruti's 1881 Signature. I blind-bought this a couple of years ago bc I've always liked the original summer freshie and I was so surprised bc it's now one of my fave designer leather and spice combo. It's not easy to find also...🌟👍🙏
Trust me I started February 9 2022 and I ended up with 237 bottles of the best of the best. I wish I could show the picture. Dallas and gen cents had me blowing up Afterpay and fragrance net and macys so forth and so on. But tbh I love the comunity😮
I heard a fragrance personality refer to her collection as a fragrance library. I really liked that. Just like a book that tells a story through words fragrances tell a story through a smell. The more fragrances you have the more stories to enjoy. Fragrances can evoke emotions or trigger memories and get positive reactions from the public and can be a conversation starter.
I’m sure you already did this before but you should review some of your subscribers collections. I just started collecting fragrances last year and i love it. I watch all of your videos and I’ve purchased a few fragrances from your reviews and breakdowns.
For me it’s already Long out of hand and at 80somwthing bottles I’ve got so much redundant stuff even though most don’t smell like each other they do the same things, like having spice bomb, Armani code Profumo and Versace Eros. While I like them all having 15 summer frags or 10 club frags is something that isn’t practical, and at the same time I feel so conflicted cause I really am addicted to smelling new scents and wearing them out. But I gotta put a solid stop to it where I don’t buy anymore
I have the same dilemma. I have set boundaries for 2023. Only one full bottle a month. A few samples I intend to purchase each month to keep my lust for smelling new fragrances I touch. I wish you luck 🍀.
@:20 totally agree. For me it’s the law of diminishing returns. First couple bottles I buy each season are exciting to buy, but after a while I realize I’m just buying bottles to buy them, that excitement isn’t really there. So my advice is just buy a couple at a time, use em, and when u run out start the process over again ✌🏾
I just made a recommendation to one of my friends for 10 I had the Mont Blanc Legend set Legend /EDP Legendary Night Montblanc Legend spirit Montblanc Explorer Missoni EDP & Wave If he get wave doesn't need MBL-spirt Ferragamo Uomo & Signature Mancera Cedrat Boise and Instant Crush.... I think that's a good inexpensive list should be under or around $500 nothing was on the list over 50 bucks except the two Mancera $75ish
Prada Lhomme and ADG Profondo are good spring and summer fragrances respectively that can also double up as office scent and gym / blue scent (a little expensive)

I like the warning: "Fragrance at your own risk". It's actually a great warning. I WENT CRAZY and I love it. BUT, I have an income that can support it. Still, I'm starting to think I could use a 12 step program. Well, not that quite bad but, the warning is appreciated.
After collecting about 70 fragrances in the last year and a half, I realized I really only need about 50. I've downsized and now understand I'm a blue and freshie kind of guy.
I wish I only liked one type I like everything I can’t help it, but I love gourmand a lot but I also like the super masculine scents so I can’t have just those, but I like freshies only in summer time.. I have problems I love frags too much :(
I think 10 is good. I have about 50+ now and I enjoy the options, but I can honestly say its completely unnecessary. And addictive. Out of 50, I regularly rotate maybe 12-15. But out of that, I could easily lower it to 6 or 7. The others I reach for on occasion, and there are several I rarely ever wear. There are even a few I dont like that much and have considered getting rid of. Be picky, and dont jump at every hype beast, clone, or cheap deal. You end up with a bunch of overrated stuff cluttering your shelves that you don't even need.
I went from 8 bottles to about 37 in 2 months.. got tired of wearing the same fragrances for 25 years and fell down the fragrance rabbit hole.. I agree with you, 15 could easily cover all your bases . I have a couple blind buys that will be used as bathroom air fresheners.. ( i.e tobac, Cedrat boise, oud touch )
I WISH I could downsize to 10 but I’ve smelled so many good fragrances & have a FEW vintage bottles/batches. I can’t even downsize to 10 per season & that’s still 40 🥹😭😩
Bought Missoni Wave a week ago following all the positive reviews. And I am extremely disappointed. It last less then an hour on my skin and after the hour I cannot smell it anymore and it is not only me but also my girlfriend. I heavily follow the recommendation from the channel but this is one of the baddest suggestions for me ever

Missoni Wave smells like a mix of Perry Ellis 360 red & Nikos Sculpture to me. And i don’t like both of em 🫠 But i really enjoy the Missoni Pour Homme. Smells so good 😌.
I have the Gentleman Reserve Privee and love it. It's pretty much right in my wheelhouse. Also been wearing the original Spicebomb a lot lately. Would you suggest the Gentleman here or something like Azzarro Most Wanted?
I'm probably going to wind up with ~25 before I'm done. The cheap ones that I started with will eventually get filtered out by a few choice niches. There's only one I don't wear and want to ditch, and that's Hanae Mori H.M. What I've been trying to nail down is a good scent to wear in disgustingly humid swamp weather. "Summer" doesn't really describe tropical weather.
You absolutely don't need 10 fragrances in your collection. Have 3 that work for you. Daily fragrance, one for nights out and one for date night/intimate affairs.
Need at least 3 for breakfast lunch and dinner for each season + date nights and something strong and animalic for inclosed spaces like the airplane ✈️

Cdnim edt and edp, cool water, lucky you( just for the throw back of it since that what. I wore in the 90s in high school) insurrection 2 wild, and my nicer one I keep on hand is Versace Dylan blue. I just need to find a good red tobacco clone and pick up a good Rouge 540 clone and I'll be set

Its funny. I originally gave myself a limit of 12. I have 10 now. I won't let myself buy any more until I'm down to my three forever fragrances and two others. Then once another is gone, get a replacement. Basically once I get down to five, I'll stay there.
So I got a kit of samples and I get can get one bottle for free. I am wondering if I should get Prada ocean, ysl y edp, Valentino born in Roma edt, replica jazz club, spice bomb nightvision or badboy cobalt. I also can get the original acqua di gio I was wondering if anyone could help me choose what to get.
Why do so many people recommend Y edp? I can’t stand that fragrance, it’s over the top sweetness and youthfulness is just unbearable. I guess it just depends on where you live, because I live in a super hot/humid area and nobody here can stand super sweet fragrances like that
@@livinglife3230 I blind bought it when it first came out and immediately wanted to wash it off. Tried it again a few more times just to see if I would change my mind about it but ended up just giving it away. I hate it. It may be a superstar to some people, everyone’s different though. I enjoy more fresh/mature type of scents with a lot less sweetness

Found Missoni Wave 100ml full presentation at Tj Maxx yesterday for $26 great find. A great fragrance, once it dries down I almost like it more than Ysl Edp.
The dark horse in this video is Cerruti's 1881 Signature. I blind-bought this a couple of years ago bc I've always liked the original summer freshie and I was so surprised bc it's now one of my fave designer leather and spice combo. It's not easy to find also...🌟👍🙏

Trust me I started February 9 2022 and I ended up with 237 bottles of the best of the best. I wish I could show the picture. Dallas and gen cents had me blowing up Afterpay and fragrance net and macys so forth and so on. But tbh I love the comunity😮
I heard a fragrance personality refer to her collection as a fragrance library. I really liked that. Just like a book that tells a story through words fragrances tell a story through a smell. The more fragrances you have the more stories to enjoy. Fragrances can evoke emotions or trigger memories and get positive reactions from the public and can be a conversation starter.
My only question is why is the channel called Chaos Fragrances so reasonable
I’m sure you already did this before but you should review some of your subscribers collections. I just started collecting fragrances last year and i love it. I watch all of your videos and I’ve purchased a few fragrances from your reviews and breakdowns.
For me it’s already Long out of hand and at 80somwthing bottles I’ve got so much redundant stuff even though most don’t smell like each other they do the same things, like having spice bomb, Armani code Profumo and Versace Eros. While I like them all having 15 summer frags or 10 club frags is something that isn’t practical, and at the same time I feel so conflicted cause I really am addicted to smelling new scents and wearing them out. But I gotta put a solid stop to it where I don’t buy anymore
I have the same dilemma. I have set boundaries for 2023. Only one full bottle a month. A few samples I intend to purchase each month to keep my lust for smelling new fragrances I touch.

@:20 totally agree. For me it’s the law of diminishing returns. First couple bottles I buy each season are exciting to buy, but after a while I realize I’m just buying bottles to buy them, that excitement isn’t really there. So my advice is just buy a couple at a time, use em, and when u run out start the process over again ✌🏾

I like the warning: "Fragrance at your own risk". It's actually a great warning. I WENT CRAZY and I love it. BUT, I have an income that can support it. Still, I'm starting to think I could use a 12 step program. Well, not that quite bad but, the warning is appreciated.
After collecting about 70 fragrances in the last year and a half, I realized I really only need about 50. I've downsized and now understand I'm a blue and freshie kind of guy.
I wish I only liked one type I like everything I can’t help it, but I love gourmand a lot but I also like the super masculine scents so I can’t have just those, but I like freshies only in summer time.. I have problems I love frags too much :(

I think 10 is good. I have about 50+ now and I enjoy the options, but I can honestly say its completely unnecessary. And addictive. Out of 50, I regularly rotate maybe 12-15. But out of that, I could easily lower it to 6 or 7. The others I reach for on occasion, and there are several I rarely ever wear. There are even a few I dont like that much and have considered getting rid of. Be picky, and dont jump at every hype beast, clone, or cheap deal. You end up with a bunch of overrated stuff cluttering your shelves that you don't even need.
I went from 8 bottles to about 37 in 2 months.. got tired of wearing the same fragrances for 25 years and fell down the fragrance rabbit hole.. I agree with you, 15 could easily cover all your bases . I have a couple blind buys that will be used as bathroom air fresheners.. ( i.e tobac, Cedrat boise, oud touch )
I WISH I could downsize to 10 but I’ve smelled so many good fragrances & have a FEW vintage bottles/batches. I can’t even downsize to 10 per season & that’s still 40 🥹😭😩
Bought Missoni Wave a week ago following all the positive reviews. And I am extremely disappointed. It last less then an hour on my skin and after the hour I cannot smell it anymore and it is not only me but also my girlfriend. I heavily follow the recommendation from the channel but this is one of the baddest suggestions for me ever

if you have reserve privee then you dont need gentleman edp. privee is much more wearable.

I'm probably going to wind up with ~25 before I'm done. The cheap ones that I started with will eventually get filtered out by a few choice niches. There's only one I don't wear and want to ditch, and that's Hanae Mori H.M. What I've been trying to nail down is a good scent to wear in disgustingly humid swamp weather. "Summer" doesn't really describe tropical weather.
Something super fresh. Profondo and Missoni from the list work imo. Also Light Blue forever is great imo

Its funny. I originally gave myself a limit of 12. I have 10 now. I won't let myself buy any more until I'm down to my three forever fragrances and two others. Then once another is gone, get a replacement. Basically once I get down to five, I'll stay there.

Why do so many people recommend Y edp? I can’t stand that fragrance, it’s over the top sweetness and youthfulness is just unbearable. I guess it just depends on where you live, because I live in a super hot/humid area and nobody here can stand super sweet fragrances like that
YSL edp vintage batch is a superstar, I only wear it in the fall due to that sweetness. It’s a crowd pleaser blue fragrance

Tried it again a few more times just to see if I would change my mind about it but ended up just giving it away. I hate it. It may be a superstar to some people, everyone’s different though. I enjoy more fresh/mature type of scents with a lot less sweetness
