When my flamenco instructor challenged me to play Malagueña, I began to listen to the various version and thought that my mind was blown. However I heard Ana Vidovic play Asturias and that was my mind blown moment and of course Robert Lunn has it in his teaching material. Thank you Robert for producing Asturias. I've been so blessed by your courses.
Your videos changed my life....Your lessons ispired me to play the guitar like no other teacher.....thank you God bless you....And if you have the time Can you do --- Sting Fragile Fingerstyle Lesson
What a wonderful story you shared here with us. It's conviction, the determination to take on this difficult profession, the passion, the love of music, forged the way you teach on this channel, shows all the great quality of a musician. Thank you.
Great story, Robert! One of my favorite classical guitar pieces--in fact, not just classical, but one of my favorite guitar pieces period! Thank you for sharing that story.
Great story! I have been following you for a few months now and very impressed with you passion to teach and share your music. Keep up the great work. Thank you for YOUR inspiration! I have picked up a few of your pieces for my “ ArtGallery” gig on Saturday nights. Perfect music for this venue.
This and Recuerdos de la Alhambra are all time favorites. Side note, fyi, Al Dimeola just released the Saturday Night show recording that compliments the 40 year old Pena, McLaughlin, Dimeola Friday in San Francisco album that was a scorcher. Al livestreams all his stuff now. Shows, sound checks, home noodling
it happened to me as well. When I listened to it for the first time I was mind blown. Thanks to this song I started being interested in fingerpicking and classical guitar. OFF TOPIC: do you know the song GOAT by Polyphia. My mind was blown as well after listening to it for the first time :) There is a Flamenco cover that is amazing
@@RobertLunn Robert I played the electric guitar myself, I went to see " Sabicas " at the Town Hall in Manhattan, and like you said; one man playing alone on stage with no one, no back up. And he blew everyone away! That inspired me to play Classical Guitar. What I'm using now is an Ibenez Electric Accoustic Thin Body Nylon String Guitar. It can be amplified but I don't use it, I like the sharper sound coming from the thin body, so I don't juice it up. You play both Guitars Well, Electric nand Classical and Flamenco Too! Lots of Heavy Shred Types are using " Arabic Scales " for their solos, interesting.
I always credit you as my guitar teacher. Andy Crowley taught me how to hold it and to play my first chords, and you taught me how to play. ❤️
Awww...that is wonderful to hear!
