Thanks for mentioning shopping local. The culture we all love so much was grown through shops and now we risk losing it. I rode with Travis, on burton, for years during the 90's. Its awesome that we both ended up going back to the world of board shops. Thanks again and give a shout if you ever come through Alaska.
Oh hell yeah that's sick you rode with him, used to be my coach and have worked with him for a while with Radio. Will give a shout if I'm ever in AK for sure, Cheers!
Looks like so much fun man, super jealous! Hoping I can get a few days in on an upcoming trip I have out to Japan in March. What kind of a bag would you recommend for taking your board long distance on a flight/traveling around like that?
Awesome, you gotta! Just a board bag with wheels from any brand works great, I've always used Burton's. If you keep it under the certain weight (either 50lbs or 70lbs depending on your airline) its just the price of another piece of luggage. One big tip that helped us, you can pay to store your bag at the airport until you fly to where you're going to shred
Sounds like that will be a blast. With such a big group I would first look at finding your lodging, whether that's a whole air bnb house or whatever, then plan where you'll be shredding around that
Thanks dude, was hyped on the music for this one and how it could all flow. Yeah always copyright free. I take a lot of time digging through Epidemic Sound to find the perfect songs to match any video vibe
This was a dream trip. Can’t wait to drop the footage in the fall 🫡
My dude!

Thanks so much! It was a special one for sure
Unreal! Was out there last year. Can’t wait to get back out to Hokkaido
Yeahhh, same here, can't wait to be back!
great footage. and awesome to see you shredding with other YT peeps. jealous, but stoked for you guys!
Thanks dude, we're just trying to bring the stoke home for you!
So good! Was there one board, of the ones you all rode, that you thought suited Japan best? Cheers.
I only had my splitboard (Mega Split) and Megadeath and had a great time pretty much only riding the Megadeath
Looking forward to that film
Us too!
Stoked for the film this fall! Has the release date been set?
No not yet, Octoberish. We'll be keeping everybody updated here on UA-cam though
Just leaving now, we scored furano, extremely deep. Amazing size country
Hell Yeah, we got really good sidecountry snow at Furano too
@@SearchofSnowboarding we did rest of time at niseko, rusutsu and had a day each at Kokusai and kiroro. Fuck it was cold!
Oh wow, we must have left right before the temps dropped, wasn't too bad for us
@@SearchofSnowboarding -20 at base with -35 at top. Not sure what Asahidake was but my fingers were hurting! Niseko and rusutusu was warmish

@@SearchofSnowboarding dope, thanks for the tip!
Trying to plan a trip with about 10 guys and would love any advice for the planning process??

Hey man, epic tunes AGAIN! Where do you get them all from, are they royalty free? ✌🏼

maybe I missed it: what boards/bindings did you end up riding in Japan?
I was mainly riding the Mega Death with the Atlas Pro
The powder really owned you guys
Was someone also on a Hometown hero?
Yup, our boy Babo
How did the Hometown Hero go, i.e. would you recommend it for Japan ?
bro have you thought about making advanced trick tutorials like small ones?!
You talking like 360's and stuff? Yeah, was actually recently thinking about it. Planning to upload a few by the end of the season.
@@SearchofSnowboarding that would be sick!
Cool to watch the megadeath review and then watch you shredding with it in Japan
I actually saw a bunch of people riding it over there too
Can you rent good gear there? I would like to take the trip with just my boots.
It depends on where you are. If you're at a major resort like Niseko, there are a ton of shops and rental options
I'm looking forward to going, your videos really hype it up even more, maybe this season or next one for sure for me@@SearchofSnowboarding
Thanks, your video hypes this trip for me even more; I can't wait for the fall film!@@SearchofSnowboarding
