Fuel Pump Rebuild for Buell XB9SX (early-2005)

This project wasn't an easy one. It took about 2.5 hours and the previous owner had performed some janky work that raised a lot of questions. Everything worked out, the video shows some of the headaches I experienced, and the end result was good.

This video is very helpful. I have a Buell 2007 xb12 scg sitting in my garage right at the moment. My friend brought it to me to troubleshoot, and I think the problem is at the fuel pump as well because the pump didnt look good and the inside of the fuel tank has a lot of buildup on the surface. Was wondering if you happened to have the same problem and if so, what did you do to get the soot buildup out? PS: it only took you 45 to get the fuel pump out, I was pulling my hair out when i took out mine. very frustrated.

No nothing like that at all. What door is the buildup?

@@kz6fittycent The buildup has to be from the gas, my buddy left it in the garage for years. I bought some Sea Foam today and will try to clean it with that. EFI fuel pump is also on the way, I will be referring to your video for installation guidance when it arrives.

I was gonna do an update video - it runs PERFECTLY. After another TPS reset, I did a 5 hour "shakedown" ride and not a single issue.
