Beautiful workmanship. Now that's the way a column should look..sturdy and well thought out. Well done!!!

I have done a few cultured stone projects. I started on my own house and my brickie said I was a natural. Yeah a natural all right. That first time took me about a week to complete. It was quite a bit of stone but I was working for the hardest client ever..... Wifey. But I searched around and got er done. The stone that is. You make it look so easy but I remember waking up in the middle of the night and jotting down ideas and diagrams. I really appreciate these videos and I might just get bold enough to build a new stone mailbox. After that who knows? They are going to need masons to rebuild Notre Dame 🙂

That column is beautiful. How rotten was that post you took out, even with a stand-off base. Good thing you used pressure treated wood to replace it. A metal angle clips to tie-in the top securely and a stand-off base secured to the concrete would be a good addition.

man, each and every video ive watched from your channel , the results have been no less than stellar! been binge watching your videos for the past 1.5 hours actually, first, just wanted to see some ways on laying stone veneer, then somehow, after a handful of videos watched, here i am hahaha.
amazing channel you've got here man. no cutting corners. u do your customers a solid all the time. u even re-did the other customer a favor by redoing their bricks (as long as they supply the mortars) for free before u did the parging and veneer. you're a good man. more power sir!
