- Another day, another dumpster! :) I am so glad I woke up early today because not only did I beat the trash trucks, I also beat the rain! I am really curious why so many children’s shoes were thrown away.. especially in such nice (or new) condition!

As a foster parent I can say that the kids would appreciate this much more than big black bags
I just said the same thing lol.
You can call your local Department of Family and Protective Services to see if they will take the donation. Most will and it makes such a difference for these kiddos!

Yes, I worked in child protection and foster care and our office saved suitcase, back pack, etc. They are really needed.

Donate suitcases and bags you find to Foster places. They don't usually give foster kids suitcases and they gotta carry their stuff in trash bags. So it will def be used if you donate it to a foster place.

Kelly - nothing stopping you putting a free book library in your front yard. Neighbours will see it - tell people. You could advertise on FB and places that its there etc. What you do for your community is amazing. Well done x

Im from england uk our red telephone boxes are now a library for the community you borrow and return plus add your own this is awesome im there about once per week i love adding books too love your videos 🤗

Where are you in the UK ? All the Red phone boxes got torn up and replaced years ago !!! Most found there way to scrap dealers who sold them at inflated prices. Now its difficult finding any phonebox of the newer type that works. The only thing people seem to add to them is DNA (of sorts) and a distinct aroma.
Cornwall so av quite a few still down this way makes me happy seeing them filled eith books

We still have a few red phone boxes in Oxfordshire and one has been used to house a defibrillator.
It would be a good idea to gift those little toys and the bracelet with the kid's shoes if you sold them lol.

Lots of times you can find broken lamps that still have a spendy LED bulb in them... Worth taking the bulbs to use at home.

Kids grow out of shoes but that was an excellent find! Apparently the parents didn't care about donating or reselling. Pilgrims girlfriend is so cute!

You can donate suitcases to foster children.They often pack their things in garbage bags. Pilgrim is adorable and his new girlfriend is a beauty! I love that flamingo!

If you are looking for somewhere to donate the suitcase, foster kids often don't have anything to carry what few belongings they have from home to home, a suitcase instead of a trash bag can help them immensely.
Homeless shelters and orphanages love getting donated luggage. Makes it easier for people to move from home to home, or to foster home. Better than carrying garbage bags. ♡
Suitcases are great to store things in them.

If you ever use a suitcase for yourself from the dumpster, be sure to clean it out VERY well.
Sometimes at the airport they pull random passengers aside and swab the inside of the luggage for drugs. 😳😬

Seeing that Shopkins backpack 🎒 makes me sad that stores throw it out when they could donate it to the community, like the suggestion for foster kids. You are a community treasure in all the things that you find, clean and donate!!
After the accident in NC this week of that poor woman who's body was sent to the landfill I can not urge you enough to be careful!!!!!! Stores are dumping chemicals in the dumpsters to try to stop divers. Think about it somebody hops inside takes a few breaths and before they even realize something is wrong they pass out. You literally made the comment you beat the trash truck. I truly believe something along those lines is what happened to that woman it's so sad. I think the laws on DD are going to tighten up after since this happened. All I'm saying is be safe dear 💟💙
Pretty sure it's highly illegal to dump toxic chemicals in a dumpster. Most chemicals aren't even supposed to be dumped in a common dumpster, they have to be sent as toxic waste.
That's stupid as hell. That seems like it would do more damage than good? I guess companies want to pay for healthcare lol
I watch Mike the scavenger, also a dumpster diver, he quite frequently has run into dumpsters with toxic chemicals in them. A few times it took his breath away. One is a pool company that put jugs of muriatic acid, chlorine in various forms, and other dangerous substances. So even though it is illegal they do it. He finds car batteries too and it's illegal to dump them too. He has a great channel too.
So definitely be careful! You are such a great person we don't want you to be hurt! We would love to see Pilgrim and his girlfriend! Adorable!

I sell shelves crazy fast on marketplace. If you ever see a heavy duty shelf like the gray one pick it up 😍 They come apart really easy!!

I'm pretty sure that the ornate box is an incense burner for places like a Buddhist temple and they put sticks of incense standing up in the top part.

Hi ! Donate suitcases to foster homes. The children most times have to carry their things in garbage bags :(
The little lego people sell for quite a bit of money each relative to size. 2-3.00 usd each at flea markets. Sell them at your garage sale. If you can separate the junior legos from the older kid (and adults lol) legos. They wash really well in dishwashers if put in net bags. Just don't dry them in the washer, hang dry and shake them every once in a while to get all the water out of the nooks and crannies. Bag and sell per kind. Oh dear, went with the 2 buck opinion again. Sorry.

Kelly, I have been watching your channel for a while now. I love that you, Alex & Pilgrim get 1st dibs to wear, eat or sell on poshmark .. then you give the rest away.. what's not to like about that?
