I watched him fight Floyd Patterson with my Dad when I was like 7 or 8. I got captivated by him because he was fun to watch in and out of the Ring. You could tell he enjoyed the shenanigans with Howard Cosell as much as the Boxing. I treasure those times with Pops.
Ali was just on another level. I have yet to see boxers do what he did. His agility was INSANE. The fact that he was able to dodge incoming punches the way he did for as long as the match lasted is just crazy to see. His punches were quick and heavy. What makes Mayweather great is his outstanding defense and patience. What makes Tyson great is his incredible power and speed. But what makes Ali THE greatest is that he had both of those things. 🙌🏽
