Siegfried in this specific quest has a mechanic that gives about 20% extra NP generation to anyone who's attacking him to make up for the fact that he's got a ton of defense buffs that make him super tanky. It's specifically meant to emphasize the fact that you're supposed to use Defense-ignoring NP's against him

Wait, how is Jack dealing damage after the first NP? Shouldn't it only ignore 100% of the defenses, so without some other for of extra, it just deals nothing?
Siegfried has 200% DEF, and defense ignoring NPs only ignore 100%, no? So without any other boosts, Siegfried should be standing at 100% defense even after that.
