Love this! Use lotion BEFORE doing any gluing (or ANY work!) and it is VERY HELPFUL, so keep that in mind, too!!

Nail polish remover with acetone worked for me. Maybe different brands have higher concentration of acetone?

We’ll… I kind of knew the acetone would work from an earlier test I did with metal. 😎

Before UA-cam there would be no info like this. As grateful as I am, I also miss trusting my parents. When they say don't touch, it should be the final word. Now instead, parents are looking this up to see if it is safe to let their kids have access to superglue! Hahah, I am speaking for myself.

No, I haven't tried any on skin. I did try 70% IPA on metal strips... ua-cam.com/video/_59ZzuLJcTw/v-deo.html

    brave of you. :)
did you feel it was working half way though the experiment?
Question is now why do they work?
Coudn't you have just done the experiment to test on other material to see if the glue breaks down?
I heard rubbing alcohol does the trick too.
But the skin is an organ and does exposing your skin to these chemical cause a issue to some degree? sure its good for learning but still.
kind of like those nicotine patches how it absorbs though the skin.

      Thanks!
Yes, I could feel the surface area shrinking as more time went by with the acetone and salt/water.
I have no clue why they work. LOL
I did another test on metal strips... ua-cam.com/video/_59ZzuLJcTw/v-deo.html
I read mixed reviews about the ill effects of acetone. I didn't read anything bad about people using it to remove artificial nails, so gave it a try.
